After Venom finished speaking, Eddie, through Venom’s perspective, had also seen the rapidly approaching teams surrounding them. These teams were evidently not the privately ard squads maintained by the Life Foundation.
Each mber of these squads appeared to be heavily ard and equipped with advanced weaponry. The Life Foundation couldn’t afford nor dare to maintain such a large private army.
Just as Venom and Eddie remained motionless and Riot had rapidly climbed to the top of the launch well, the surrounding teams had already encircled the launch well.
These teams had noticed Venom standing on the platform beneath the launch well, but they didn’t take any imdiate action against Venom. Instead, they aid their weapons at Venom while primarily focusing their attention on Riot above.
Observing the heavily ard teams that were less than ten ters away, Eddie felt uneasy. In his current state, under Venom’s influence, he appeared as a monstrous being.
These teams undoubtedly had the capability to deal with both him and Venom, far superior to the ineffectual police. Moreover, these teams possessed sothing to counteract him, just like the ultrasonic waves they had experienced earlier.
“Eddie, what should we do now? Who are these people?” Venom inquired within Eddie’s mind while maintaining their stance of not taking any action.
However, Eddie was unsure how to respond to Venom’s cautious inquiry. The situation had escalated beyond Eddie’s or Carlton Drake’s control, and with the intervention of a special task force, Venom and Riot, as re extraterrestrial parasites, couldn’t make much of an impact.
After contemplating for a mont, Eddie gave Venom an uncertain answer, “Perhaps… these people were called here by Phantom Knight…”
As Eddie uttered these words, he felt a twinge of guilt. Phantom Knight had only engaged in a brief conversation with them, revealing no interest in their affairs with the Life Foundation. He had casually encouraged them to do as they pleased before departing. Clearly, Phantom Knight was indifferent to Eddie and the Life Foundation.
Furthermore, Phantom Knight likely had no knowledge of Riot’s existence. Therefore, it was uncertain whether the special task force appearing here was related to Phantom Knight or just the nation finally catching wind of the Life Foundation’s suspicious activities.
In the latter case, they might eliminate both Eddie and Venom. After all, they all looked like monsters.
“When you said that, you didn’t really have much confidence, did you?” Venom couldn’t resist adding a sarcastic comnt.
Although Venom also doubted that these ard squads were called by Phantom Knight, he hadn’t sensed significant hostility from the team mbers. In comparison, they seed more focused on launching an attack on Riot, who was attempting to board the spacecraft.
anwhile, the rocket thrusters of the spaceflight vehicle that should have ignited remained eerily silent, and the countdown had ended minutes ago. Riot, who had realized that sothing was wrong with the spacecraft, clung to the exterior of the vehicle, casting an evil glare at the individuals on the ground wielding various weapons.
“These damned individuals! They’ve sabotaged my plan!”
Even though Riot might appear foolish, by now, he must have figured out that soone had tampered with the spacecraft’s launch system. He knew he couldn’t pilot the current spacecraft to space and join his million brethren.
“Carlton! Do you have any way to control the spacecraft’s launch and ascent from within?” Riot swiftly dodged the aiming barrels of the weapons on the spacecraft while asking Carlton Drake.
“No way, the launch and spaceflight of the spacecraft aren’t that simple,” Carlton Drake replied, having grasped the situation.
In these circumstances, Carlton Drake had already seen through the reality of the situation. If not for the fact that he was still parasitized by Riot, and his life was linked to Riot’s, he would have abandoned Riot and fled for his own life long ago.

Just as Riot angrily scrambled around the spacecraft, a small tal sphere shot up rapidly from below and struck the surface of the spacecraft near Riot.
“Oh no!” The mont Riot saw the small tal sphere, a sense of impending danger surged within him.

The next mont, before Riot could get far away, a series of ultrasonic waves emanated from close range, assaulting Riot.
“Argh! Ahhhhhh!”
Riot, who had just endured one ultrasonic wave attack, now experienced another round of the excruciating pain and tornt it inflicted. These ultrasonic waves were undeniably more targeted and more intense than the previous ones.
Without a doubt, Riot lost control once more and plumted from the spacecraft. Below, the teams that had been on high alert with various weapons were ready for Riot’s descent.

Riot crashed fiercely onto the tal platform, enduring the impact of the ultrasonic waves as he attempted to fend off the encroaching teams with his makeshift weapons. However, when faced with Riot’s onslaught, the surrounding teams silently opened fire.

“It’s so tragic!” Eddie couldn’t help but exclaim as he watched Carlton Drake lying lifeless on another platform dozens of ters away, having been shot multiple tis.
While Riot could endure the effects of the ultrasonic waves and continue to launch attacks, he was no longer able to protect Carlton Drake, his host. As Riot’s symbiotic substance left significant openings, the special task force from SHIELD had no qualms about opening fire on Carlton Drake. In an instant, they had killed him.
With the host dead, even Riot’s formidable abilities were rendered useless. As Carlton Drake’s body grew colder, Riot had no choice but to retract his main form and abruptly leap out of Carlton Drake’s body, attempting to latch onto the nearest combatant.
However, every team mber was prepared, and a large glass container promptly enclosed Riot as he lunged toward them.
And so, Riot was captured by SHIELD’s special task force, with not a single team mber lost, employing only two ultrasonic wave emitters and so specially designed bullets. Ultimately, lifeforms like Riot were still reliant on hosts, and their vulnerabilities were glaringly evident.
