Chapter 203: Chapter 201 The Third Eye

"Recently, Thunder God has shown trendous progress and played the most crucial role in this first kill. Especially in the final monts, when all the priests had died, Thunder God managed to hold off the Rotten Dragon, Bart, for three minutes single-handedly, saving the team from a complete wipe and securing the first kill! Thunder God’s performance in those last three minutes demonstrated the extre limits a Tank can reach. In so respects, this rising star can now be compared to, or even surpass, ’Zuo You,’ who has dominated the world’s number one Tank spot for two years..."

Huang Yi patiently read through the post and gained a general understanding of yesterday’s events.

Thunder God’s class mainly focuses on defense, which is the complete opposite of Huang Yi’s pursuit of massive DPS. Generally, the type of boss a team can battle is determined by how strong the main Tank is, making it the most critical mber. Although the offense can be slightly weaker, the main Tank must be strong.

In this sense, Thunder God’s stature exceeds Huang Yi’s, as DPS classes like Huang Yi’s only add luster to a team. But a strong Defense Type like Thunder God is a much-needed lifeline.

The success of yesterday’s first kill was entirely because of Thunder God. Without him, the Yanhuang Legion wouldn’t even have anyone to tank the boss. Their original main Tank, Little Zongzi, simply wasn’t strong enough. Without the ability to tank the boss, they couldn’t even initiate the battle, unlike the last ti with the Zombie King where, even without Huang Yi, the Yanhuang Legion could have attempted the fight, albeit taking much longer.

After this first kill, Thunder God’s prominence rose to a new level, subtly replacing the forr leading figure of the Heavenly Group, ’Zuo You,’ and becoming the new world’s number one Tank. This determined the strongest boss that the vast player base of ten billion could defeat. What’s more impressive is that unlike ’Zuo You’ from the Heavenly Group, who is a dungeon-focused player, Thunder God is not a professional dungeon player and doesn’t prioritize dungeons. Like Huang Yi, he is a free-form player for whom running dungeons is just a side activity.

In Huang Yi’s heart, if he had to choose a winner for the Best Newcor Award, it would be Thunder God, not himself. After all, while he might match Thunder God in fa, he falls far short of him in strength, which is his Achilles’ heel.

Although his progress has been rapid, he still needs more ti to fully mature, and now ti is sothing he doesn’t have. If he doesn’t win the Best Newcor Award this year, then next year he will have to strive for the much more fiercely contested Best Individual Award—a prize far more intense than the Best Newcor Award!

At that point, it won’t just be a competition between him and Thunder God, but rather, a battle among the top-notch masters from around the world, including Dao Feng, Dragon Spike, the Pope, Heavenly Dao, the Pharaoh, and Kid. At that level, the margin of difference is minuscule, and it wouldn’t be surprising for anyone to win the award. It’s practically impossible to completely shake off the competition and dominate.

Huang Yi returned to the forum’s main page and checked out the other ssages, while also paying attention to the situation in Dragon City.

So far, Dragon City remains the sa, stagnant, with dwindling attention. In stark contrast, the city of Los Angeles in the real world has beco the focus of global attention. As the awards ceremony approaches, almost all hotels in the city are booked out, especially those accommodating renown personalities like Dao Feng, Dragon Spike, and Heavenly Dao. From the most luxurious presidential suites to the simplest economy rooms, everything is full, with countless people monitoring the hotels for cancellation news, ready to take any vacancy imdiately.

The President of the United States has even issued a high alert order, with all airports and seaports implenting the strictest security asures for incoming flights and ships to ensure no security incidents occur during this grand occasion.

Now, people around the world are eagerly anticipating the arrival of this grand event!

...

Following that, Huang Yi entered The Second World, with both his main body and incarnation logging in and appearing in two distinct locations.

Huang Yi continued to distractingly manipulate his external incarnation, pressing on toward the area marked on the treasure map, while his main body was still practicing in the Skeleton Ocean.

He looked up at the horizon where at the end of his sight was the densely packed Skeleton Ocean, unending and boundless, with not even a shadow of Dragon City in sight. This place was teeming with skeletons, more than he could ever hope to defeat, and the deeper he went, the more formidable the skeletons beca. There might even appear bosses at around Levels fifty-sixty, beings he was not yet capable of confronting.

Huang Yi charged into the Skeleton Ocean, continuing to slaughter skeletons. After a few days, he had settled into a familiar routine that hardly required any effort on his part.

Out of boredom, Huang Yi decided to practice the abilities of his incarnation and beco familiar with this new body.

The first ability to practice was naturally the third eye on that incarnation!

At that mont, his incarnation’s forehead suddenly trembled, skin splitting open to reveal a new eye.

This eye stood erect on his forehead, much like Erlang Shen from ancient Chinese mythology. The eye was so sharp it was difficult to look at directly, seemingly possessing the capability to penetrate through all things.

This third eye was originally found on the corpse of an ape and after being refined into an incarnation, the eye regained its vitality. As this third eye opened, a completely different vision appeared in his incarnation’s sight!

Firstly, his vision beca much clearer. Although the area in front was covered with sand dust from the desert, rendering it hard to see far, this third eye disregarded the sand particles, providing a clear view of the distant scene.

Next, his sight acquired a piercing ability, able to see what lay beyond any obstacle in front of him! Huang Yi looked down and was surprised to see a goose egg-sized pebble one ter underground, with a cave next to it where a rattlesnake was resting.

Huang Yi raised his head and looked around once more, easily spotting a chaleon a hundred ters away. The chaleon’s appearance was exactly the sa as the surrounding sand; had it been anyone else, they probably wouldn’t have been able to distinguish it even standing close by, but Huang Yi’s third eye could easily tell the difference.

In just a short while, Huang Yi had already discovered three abilities of this eye; it was truly detail-oriented, allowing no detail to escape its scrutiny! And evidently, the capabilities of this eye were not limited to these, there must still be other abilities yet to be uncovered. Huang Yi speculated that since the eye was so keen, it should also possess abilities like seeing through invisibility and detecting duplicates.

Huang Yi was extrely satisfied with this eye; his visual capabilities had now beco formidable to an extre!

His Eye of Ti could see both past and future;

his racial talents and class talent both possessed a powerful Dark Vision;

such a sharp Third Eye ca with various functions.

Going forward, it was going to be difficult for anything to escape his vigilant eyes.

Huang Yi’s incarnation simply kept the Third Eye open, rushing towards the location indicated on the Treasure Map.

...

An hour later, Huang Yi’s main body stopped the slaughter and took a short break.

He checked his Energy Value, which was just over 1500 points, just enough to check the success rate for the 8th Stage War Soul!

The success rate for the 8th Stage War Soul was a re 5%, with each check costing a steep 1500 Energy Points. Such an expense was unbearable for most people, and Huang Yi could only hold on because of the ten C-class Energy Stones that Dao Feng had given him. However, in the previous week, he had spent tens of thousands of Energy Points, and had always seen the result as a failure.

Huang Yi activated the Eye of Ti and checked the system determination for today.

This ti, he finally showed a smile!

The system’s determination was finally a success! And the increase was the maximum value of 9%!

Huang Yi imdiately chose to enhance, activating the 8th layer of the Life Soul!

The 8th layer, this was now the sa level as the top-level players like Dao Feng and Heavenly Dao, who had not been able to advance to the 9th layer and had always remained at the 8th.

Using the Eye of Ti, Huang Yi had caught up with them in a very short span of ti!

Now, the Life Soul had cumulatively added 41% to his Health Points. Next was the most difficult 9th layer, with a re 2% success rate.

Huang Yi took out two Energy Stones, spending two minutes to fully replenish 3000 Energy Points. Then he checked the system determination for the 9th layer War Soul, which this ti consud a whopping two thousand Energy Points!

But the system determination turned out to be a failure!

For a long ti into the future, it would be days of wasting Energy Points; every day spending two thousand points, and his remaining Energy Stones were estimated to last only about a week.

...

In the blink of an eye, only the last three days were left until The Second World’s annual grand ceremony, with nearly all the qualified participants from around the world having already traveled to Los Angeles, and countless journalists and audiences had also poured in there.

However, Huang Yi did not go; he was still in the Rose Prison, logging in and out every day as usual.

That noon, after several days of trek, Huang Yi’s incarnation finally arrived at a desert valley, which was exactly where the Treasure Map marked the treasure’s location.

The desert valley was not hidden, with so traces of human activity on the ground, indicative that many people had co here before.

Huang Yi controlled his incarnation, walking into the heart of the valley.

After moving through the valley for a while, a giant Dragon Head appeared in the depths of the valley.

The Dragon Head was made of stone, like a small hill, with rough cracks on it, weathered by countless years of wind and sand. The Dragon Head’s mouth was wide open, leading into pitch darkness, unknown where it led.

This scene was very similar to the entrance of Heroes’ Prison! (To be continued. If you like this work, welco to Starting Point (qidian) to vote for Recomndation Tickets and Monthly Tickets. Your support is my greatest motivation. Mobile users, please read on m.qidian.)
