Chapter 19: Chapter 19 Eye of Ti
Huang Yi shook his dizzied head and returned to his mother cat’s side.
At that mont, the mother cat was affectionately licking the head of a little white kitten.
The little white kitten was pure white all over, with not a single stray hair, clean and pristine. Her large eyes were like two stars, extrely adorable, and seed like the most beautiful creature in the world. Her tiny body clung tightly to her mother’s embrace. Her small mouth licked her own little paws as she curiously stared at Huang Yi.
"Purebred Spirit Cat!" Huang Yi sighed softly in his heart. If this little white kitten had been born in a noble family, she would have definitely been spoiled with love, but now that she was born in this wilderness, she could only suffer hardships.
Huang Yi examined the little white kitten’s physical characteristics and saw that it was a young female cat, his sister.
"ow~" The little white kitten made a tender, milky sound toward Huang Yi, as though calling for her brother.
Huang Yi’s heart ward, and he walked over. Extending his warm tongue, he licked her little head. She closed her eyes, her face full of enjoynt.
The mother cat stretched out a paw and drew Huang Yi into her embrace as well, holding both him and the little white kitten together. Her eyes radiated profound love, and the family snuggled up closely.
The pure moonlight shone through the leaves and illuminated the three Spirit Cats, filling the scene with warmth.
Huang Yi hadn’t felt this kind of warmth in a long, long ti.
"Awoo~" Just then, another hungry howl from the jungle broke the tranquil scene.
Following that, three wolves erged from the bushes, surrounding Huang Yi and his family, their eyes unabashedly showing their hunger.
"ow~" The little white kitten let out a nervous cry, shrinking into her mother’s embrace, her large eyes filled with fear. It was truly a night of calamity; she had just been born and had already encountered two groups of wolves.
"ow!" Huang Yi comforted her and slowly stood up, confronting the three famished wolves.
He slowly brought his right paw to his mouth and subtly shifted a small iron ring on his claw.
That was his storage ring. The eighteen eyeballs of Death Scales were inside it.
He was already at level 10, which t the conditions to use them. He quickly poured out the 18 eyeballs and directly swallowed them.
The eyeballs lted the mont he placed them in his mouth, rapidly transforming into eighteen streams of energy that converged in Huang Yi’s eyes, feeling cool and quite comfortable.
System Prompt: You have consud the Eye of the Hydra - Deathscale and gained the Eye of Ti ability. It allows you to see through the past and future under specific conditions. The higher the level, the stronger the effect. However, this ability cannot predict the actions of players. Using the Eye of Ti will consu a certain amount of energy, and the amount will vary based on the situation.
Just as Huang Yi had surmised, the effect of the Eye of Ti was to see only the system’s active choices, not to predict the players’ actions. Many of the system’s choices were designed by the program in advance, with predetermined outcos based on specific scenarios. The Eye of Ti was able to see these preparations.
Huang Yi imdiately put the Eye of Ti to use. Instantly, he saw two scenes: one revealed how these three wolves arrived here. They had been hunting in the jungle afar several hours ago, and just over ten minutes before, they ca near upon hearing the cry of the white wolf earlier, following the sound and scent to this place.
This was sothing that had happened in the past.
The other scene showed that the wolf directly ahead would pounce on him from above in five seconds—a feint, the real threat was the other two wolves preparing to attack the mother cat from either side!
This was the move set by the system for the future, but not yet executed.
Clearly, it was easy to see into the past, up to several hours behind, but peering into the future was more difficult, limited to only a few seconds ahead. But Huang Yi was currently only at level 10; as he leveled up, the Eye of Ti would grow stronger.
Five seconds later, the wolf in front indeed sprang forward with both legs, charging toward Huang Yi with fierce montum.
Huang Yi pretended to et his opponent, slightly squatting his body as if he were about to leap at it!
Suddenly, Huang Yi fiercely pounced toward a spot three ters to his right, swiping his claws straight into thin air!
At that mont, another wolf had just charged there, attempting to ambush the mother cat. But Huang Yi’s pounce was so precise—it was as if he had anticipated it!
The wolf clearly hadn’t expected this twist, and it collided solidly with Huang Yi’s claws. The force of the impact compounded the severity of the injuries, as it had a large chunk of flesh torn from its neck!
Imdiately afterward, Huang Yi changed direction midair, moving to stand one ter in front of the mother cat!
Just then, the other wolf ca around trying to attack the mother cat, only to collide precisely with Huang Yi’s claws, leaving behind two long gashes!
From the mont the three wolves launched their attack to the two wolves being injured, only an instant had passed. Huang Yi moved with fluid grace, his swift figure like lightning in the night sky. Each of his actions was perfectly tid, and he seized every mont of battle with minute precision, as though it were all rehearsed in advance!
The mother cat’s eyes were filled with astonishnt, seemingly unable to understand how her child had suddenly beco so powerful. If it had been her facing the enemies, she couldn’t have executed such skill. Even if Spirit Cats were exceptionally agile, they would still need ti to react spontaneously. They couldn’t possibly be as smooth as Huang Yi.
Huang Yi was very pleased with the function of Tears of Ti. It enabled him to foresee the enemy’s next move, giving him the upper hand at every mont of the battle. Before the enemy made a move, he was already prepared to respond.
Of course, if the enemy were much stronger, the Eye of Ti would be useless. It wasn’t a battle on the sa level. Moreover, the Eye of Ti could only see a few seconds into the future according to the system’s commands, which had its limitations.
The three wolves retreated, lingering at a distance. The two wounded wolves licked their wounds, their gazes toward Huang Yi now tinged with fear.
