I couldn’t help raising a brow since I had seen the way that she acted around the archbishop, but I didn’t tease her too much.

She was the saintess of the church, so it was only natural that she would have so kind of influence among those that were a part of the church.

Instead of pushing this matter, we followed the bishop to a set of doors that were in the basent of this church.

There was actually a long set of winding stairs that led down to this place, which actually seed a bit overkill. It really seed like this place was far removed from the rest of the church with how deep it was.

But that was also important considering how there was one of the hero’s relics in this place.

This was sothing that was very precious and needed to be guarded carefully after all.

So it only made sense that it would be in a secure place deep in the ground.

Once we arrived, the bishop turned around to say, "As long as you pass through these doors, you’ll enter the trial for the hero’s relic. This is sothing that no one has co back from, so I hope that you will be careful."

It was almost ominous the way that he said this, but it wasn’t as if he was saying this to scare us off.

This was a genuine warning so we were aware of how dangerous it was.

But I just gave a simple nod before asking, "Do you have any information on what this trial is like?"

The bishop just calmly shook his head when he heard this.

It seed that even if he did have information, it wouldn’t be as if he would actually give it to . After all, this was supposed to be a trial that was a test of the hero’s ability, so it wasn’t as if he would just give any hints like that.

But after thinking about it and seeing the way that Amy looked at him, the bishop said, "There are three trials that you’ll be facing."

I gave another nod to show that I understood.

After all, it was clear that this was all that he could say without actually breaking any of the rules.

It wasn’t as if I was going to put him in a bad position just because of this since I already knew things that others didn’t.

I was just testing my luck to see if I could get any secrets out of him, it didn’t matter if there wasn’t anything to gain.

Though before I could step through the doors, the bishop did say sothing else, "This is the hero’s trial, so only the hero is allowed to enter."

These words weren’t for , but rather for the party that had been about to follow into the trial. Even Amy had been about to follow in even though she was the saintess and should have known that I had to do this alone.

This ti, it didn’t matter if she glared at him.

After all, these were the rules that had been set for the hero’s trial and those that broke the rules would suffer. So it wasn’t just that they would be injured, they would actually be ruining my chances of passing this trial if they ca with .

I turned around with a faint smile to say, "I’ll be fine, don’t worry."

They still looked at with worried looks, especially Amy and surprisingly the third princess, Andrea.

I had seen that she was interested in , but it wasn’t as if we had gotten that close during this short period of traveling together that we had gone through...

In the end, they stood down and prepared to watch enter the trial alone.

But I was surprised by what both Amy and Andrea said before she sent off.

"It doesn’t matter if you don’t get the relic, as long as you co back safe."

"The most important thing is your own life."

For the two of them to say sothing like this, it really seed like they were going against their positions.

For the saintess to say that the relic wasn’t important...

For the princess to say that the most important thing was my own life compared to the lives of all the people in her kingdom...

It really felt strange hearing this from them.

But with how they looked at , it wasn’t as if I could say anything else.

So I just said, "I’ll be careful, don’t worry."

Though I tried assuring them, it seed like they couldn’t be comforted. It really seed like they wanted to co with just to be sure.

During this ti, the bishop had silently opened the door for .

I couldn’t help giving him a grateful look before heading through without another word.

Once the doors closed behind , I couldn’t help letting out a sigh of relief.

Sotis, feelings that were too deep were a bit too heavy to deal with.

Now that I was alone, I couldn’t help feeling a bit more unburdened since I didn’t have to keep up the sa act as before.

"Now, where is the key?" I said while looking around in different directions.

Though I couldn’t find anything that could be considered a key since there were many different corridors that were around .

I naturally wasn’t surprised to see all these different corridors.

In fact, there was a faint smile that appeared on my face when I saw these corridors.

After all, this was sothing that I recognized from my days of playing this ga.

It would be a lie to say that there wasn’t a part of that was worried about coming into this trial. But now that I saw all of this, that nervousness actually disappeared without a trace.

It was all because now I knew that it would be easy to pass through this trial.
