Hero or Villain, Both Chapter 323: Digging for treasure

"There’s no point caring about the rest of them, the puppets will take care of them." I said to the other avatars that were here.

Though even if I didn’t say it, it wasn’t as if they didn’t know this as well.

Since we had already taken down one group of the Advanced Perfurs, it would be easier once Faust turned them into puppets as well.

Though they would certainly lose a lot of power since shattering their souls would cause mory loss.

The main power of the Advanced Perfurs ca from their perfu recipes and losing their mories ant losing a part of this. If they didn’t have their perfus, then they really wouldn’t be Perfurs anymore.

Still, they would be powerful puppets for what we were planning to do next.

At the sa ti, they would be able to take care of the other Advanced Perfurs that were still waiting outside.

The only thing that they had to do now was buy ti while we dug out the treasure.

It was finally ti for us to find that item.

"It’s done, but I won’t be able to make any other puppets for the ti being." Faust said after he finished creating puppets from the Advanced Perfurs.

But Tempest suddenly said, "It’s fine, I’ll take care of it."

He didn’t take care of it with his main body, but rather he took care of it by summoning the sli clones that he had used to deal with the Advanced Perfurs earlier.

With a single thought from Tempest, those sli clones changed into the shape of a lich.

It was clear that they were supposed to be an imitation of Faust.

Faust narrowed his eyes...or rather the flas in his eyes beca smaller as he looked at these clones before saying, "They don’t look like at all."

Though he said this, they really looked exactly the sa to the rest of us.

But we knew better than to say anything about this to him.

Once the clones had been ford, we all sent a bit of our mana to the clones while Faust shared his experience with the Soul Puppet Spell with them. With this, they would be able to take care of any of the other Advanced Perfurs that entered this place.

Since that was taken care of, there was no need for us to worry about them as the sli clones would be able to stall the Advanced Perfurs.

All of us took a specific tunnel when we headed out.

There was no hesitation at all that ca from us since we all knew that this was the right tunnel.

While we had been setting up the trap, we had already explored this place a bit and had already figured the correct way to that item. We had made sure to mark the area so that we would be able to find it right away.

After walking for a bit, we arrived at a place where a sli was waiting for us.

This was the sli clone that Tempest had left here as a beacon so that we would be able to find this place quickly.

Once we were here, we didn’t actually do anything.

Instead, we all turned to Tempest and waited for him to do sothing.

Tempest knew exactly what to do, so he didn’t waste more ti in bringing out even more sli clones and using them to dig into the ground.

Even though we had co here to find that item, we still had to dig into the ground to find it.

But that wasn’t because these tunnels didn’t lead to that item.

Rather, it was because this was a shortcut to that item that no one else knew about.

If we followed the tunnels, we would have eventually been able to find our way to that item that we were looking for. The problem was that it would have taken a long ti since there were many things to deal with along the way.

To obtain that thing, one had to pass through the various tests that had been left in this place. We had made sure to scout out the tunnels and had already found traces of this.

There was no doubt that in the ga, this would have been so kind of hidden dungeon if one had been able to find it ahead of ti.

But after exploring this place, we had found that there was a simpler way for this.

The tunnels were actually layered on top of each other as they led deeper and deeper into the ground.

That ant that as long as we dug down, we would be able to reach the bottom of this place. We would be able to directly reach the thing that we were looking for if we just dug straight down.

For others, this wouldn’t have been an option because of how hard it would have been for them to dig down. After all, the materials of this place weren’t normal, it had been specially created to prevent soone from doing this.

But the power that the sli clones possessed made it possible.

They had skills that allowed them to shift the material of this tunnel around and dig right down.

So that was what they did.

We were planning on digging all the way to the bottom where the treasure was.

But in the end, this process was quite slow.

Even though the sli clones had the ability to dig through the ground, that didn’t an that they were strong enough to dig faster than this. They could only slowly use their skills to whittle away at the ground.

We should have used the sli clones to dig down a long ti ago, but the mont that that item was revealed, there was no doubt that it would have caused a commotion.

That was why we hadn’t done anything as we waited for us to gather before starting to dig.

It was only when we were together that we would be able to suppress it.
