"Yes, but that doesn’t an that you have to clear everything out. This isn’t a place that can be cleared out that easily since there’s sothing already there. You can just ignore the area around this town for now and wait to see what headquarters have to say. There’s still plenty of other things for you to do." The Advanced Perfur said in an exasperated voice as if he was dealing with a child.
The way that he kept trying to convince of this, it went to show that they really didn’t want anything to do with our town.
They were even giving us this wide berth, as if they were afraid of us.
But was what we had enough to scare them like this?
It didn’t feel like they would leave us alone just for this...
"It’s not as if we can’t take care of them."
"Enough." The Advanced Perfur said in a firm voice.
He waited a bit before continuing, "I know that you’re confident as the heir of the Morin Line, but you should know that this isn’t sothing that you can decide on your own. Did you already forget the reason why we’re doing this in the first place?"
Of course this wasn’t sothing that I knew since this wasn’t sothing that had been in Billy’s mories in the first place.
It was part of the mories that he had lost from his soul being shattered.
So I just revealed a defiant look as if I didn’t accept what he said.
With the sa serious look on his face, the Advanced Perfur said, "You already have a spot in the ruins that we’re planning to excavate, there’s no need for you to go this far. If you risk raising any trouble, then even your family won’t be able to protect you."
When he talked about Billy’s family, it was quite obvious that there was respect in his voice.
From this, I could tell that the family that Billy ca from was a large clan inside of the Perfurs.
Or at least large enough that even a kid like Billy was able to receive special treatnt from a branch manager like this.
If this Morin Line were to find out that their heir had been killed and turned into a puppet like this, there was no telling what would have happened.
The only thing that one couldn’t doubt was that they would certainly make whoever did this pay for their actions.
It seed that we had even more reason to hide our involvent or at the very least find soone to take the bla.
Though when it ca to turning soone into a puppet with their soul like this, it was clear that there was only one group that could do such a thing. It was the ’evil’ necromancers that had been causing trouble in the wilderness that were led by Faust.
So it wasn’t as if he would be able to escape this fate.
The only thing to do for now was to make sure that no one figured out that Billy was dead and had been turned into a puppet.
However, there was also one other important piece of news that ca from the Advanced Perfur.
It was the thing that he ntioned earlier, the thing that the Perfurs were so interested in.
"It turns out that they discovered sothing and they wanted to clear everyone out before excavating it. It seems like this is sothing quite important that they would go this far. "
If I didn’t take advantage of this information and cause trouble for the surrounding powers...then it wouldn’t be like .
I was the one that had basically crippled the Iron Fist Gang after all.
"Alright, I understand." I said through Billy’s mouth.
Since the Advanced Perfur was acting this serious, there really wasn’t anything that I could say at this point. If I were to keep going at it, there was no doubt that he would beco suspicious.
It was just that...
"Are you really agreeing that easily?" The Advanced Perfur revealed a surprised look.
I couldn’t help giving a secret bitter laugh when I heard this.
I had already seen a bit of his arrogance when I fought him earlier, but it seed that this Billy was even more arrogant than I thought. So showing any sign of weakness like this and agreeing with him was actually strange.
Since it had been done, I could only do sothing to make up for this.
"Do you want to cause trouble then?" I asked in a provoking tone.
"It’s just a surprise that you would agree so easily."
"I know my limits and I know that this isn’t sothing that I can touch. After all, the ruins are quite special, aren’t they?"
The Advanced Perfur revealed an awkward look when he heard this.
The way that I said it was as if I was implying that there was sothing secret about the ruins that no one else knew about. But it seed that he also didn’t know anything even though he was the head of this branch.
Though it did seem like he believed that I would know about this.
This Morin Line really is more special than I thought...
"Then don’t bother when I’ve agreed to go along with this." I said in the sa provoking tone.
In the end, the Advanced Perfur just gave a nod to show that he understood without saying anything.
The way that he looked at made it seem like he wasn’t suspicious of my identity.
However, this trip was quite fruitful and I was able to get all of this information.
At the sa ti, I was able to confirm that they hadn’t been targeting our town with this beast stampede.
In the end, it turned out that this was just a coincidence that our town was in the range of the area that they were operating in.
