"Ha, ha, ha, this is the life!" Iris said in a satisfied voice as she laid down on a chair while sipping from a cup.
All of the things that she was enjoying had been made by the kobolds.
The one specialty that the kobolds had over the other monsters was their dexterity. In particular, it was their ability to use their hands to craft things.
As long as the kobolds had enough materials, it was easy for them to figure out all kinds of things that they could craft.
But in the case of this kobold tribe, they just simply didn’t have the materials needed to build anything. That was a large part of the reason why they were targeted by goblins.
The goblins wanted to take the kobolds as slaves to make them make whatever they wanted.
In the first place, the kobolds should be strong enough to repel the goblins since they were all low grade monster races.
The main difference was the fact that the kobold tribe didn’t have enough resources to craft what they wanted. Without the resources to craft these things, they were simply lacking in power to deal with the goblins.
Well, that and the fact that there was a Goblin King on the other side.
The Goblin King also made quite the difference since there was no higher evolution race among the kobolds.
Seeing her like this, I couldn’t help shaking my head before saying with a sigh, "Don’t boss them around too much. They’re still busy building other things and don’t have that much ti to take care of you."
Even before Iris could complain, the kobolds on the side that were building sothing for her suddenly said, "It’s no problem at all! We want to build this for Miss Iris!"
There was a very respectful tone that was in their voice when they said this, but at the sa ti...
Fear.
That was the other thing that was in their voice.
As kobolds, it was only natural that they would feel fear towards Iris since she was a black dragon that had a pure bloodline. It was different from the impure bloodline that I would have gotten if I had turned myself into a black dragon.
Though there was a part of that wondered how Iris would have treated if I had chosen to beco a black dragon.
Would she have looked down on for having a low grade bloodline or would she have directly eaten to refine her own bloodline?
I honestly had no idea what she would have done, but it wasn’t as if I would have been helpless. With all of the skills and stats that I received from the other avatars, I was certain that I would be able to fight her if not at least stall her long enough to run away.
That was the power that ca from having all those avatars and sharing our ability like this.
But it wasn’t as if I was planning on fighting Iris any ti soon.
She was quite easy to ta as long as there were creature comforts that were available to her. And with how it kept increasing after taking over the kobold tribe, there was no reason for her to leave this place any ti soon.
She even seed like she was planning on taking care of the kobolds just in case anything happened.
With Iris here, it ant that I had plenty of space to operate.
Ignoring how the kobolds acted around Iris, I asked, "How is it going with the other project?"
The mont that they heard this, their eyes imdiately lit up.
This was sothing that they were clearly much more passionate about. This wasn’t sothing that they had been forced to do because they were afraid of Iris.
"It’s going very well." The representative among them said, but that was all that he could say as another kobold ran over to give a report.
This was the first kobold that I t, the female kobold that I saved.
These monsters didn’t have nas since they were nothing more than low grade monsters living in this forest, but it was annoying for to address them without nas.
That was why I chose to give them nas in the end.
Even though Iris had her doubts about giving nas to low grade monsters, I still went through with it in the end.
This female kobold that I saved, I chose to na her Emma in the end.
After coming over, she imdiately reported that the thing that I had requested from the kobolds had already been finished and was waiting for to inspect.
Hearing this, I didn’t spend any more ti with Iris as I headed off with Emma for this inspection.
This was sothing that I had been waiting for them to finish for a while now, so I couldn’t help moving a bit faster than usual.
Even before approaching, I could see the sign that this place had been built properly in the sky in the form of a plu of smoke.
When I ca closer, I saw the forge that the kobolds made.
This forge was the first step for the developnt of this place that I had envisioned.
This forge would be the first step in getting tal tools for the kobolds and any other monsters that would choose to live in this place in the future. After all, it wasn’t as if I was building this place just for the kobolds.
My goal was to beco the king of monsters, so the first thing that I had to do was raise the level of culture among these monsters.
Or at least to the point where they could deal with humans.
Whether they fought the humans or made deals with the humans in the future, that was for the future.
Right now, it was all about gaining enough power and culture to be treated fairly by the humans.
