If it wasn’t for the large amount of mana that I possessed because of the shared mana pool from the avatars, then I certainly wouldn’t have been able to use the Soul Search and Soul Bind spell that many tis.

There weren’t a small number of people in this village, so I had to use these two spells quite a few tis just to make sure that none of them would betray .

But after this was over, it could be said that I was in charge of this village.

There was nothing that they could do to betray , even if they were to regret this decision in the future. After all, the Soul Bind spell in their souls would make it impossible for them to co out of the betrayal alive.

"Do you want to see the village now?" Tucker asked after I had finished putting the Soul Bind on all of them.

"Actually, I want to take a look at the legacy that you said that the necromancer left you. I want to see if there’s anything that I can learn from it."

I soon realized that this was a mistake.

The mont that the people of this village heard this, their eyes lit up again just like they had done when they heard about the Soul Search and Soul Bind spells.

It was to the point where I could feel a chill running down my spine, even though I was a lich and couldn’t actually feel anything like that.

Still, they didn’t waste any ti in bringing to the cave where the necromancer’s legacy was located.

I was surprised to find that it was carved on pillars of bones.

These pillars were clearly filled with dark energy, but it seed like the energy inside of the pillars was dormant.

After examining the pillars for a bit, I started looking closely at the words that were written on the pillars. However, I couldn’t help being surprised once more since these were words that weren’t normal.

I couldn’t help turning back to Tucker and the others to ask, "How did you manage to read this and learn your necromancy?"

Tucker and the others looked surprised before saying, "You’re supposed to read it to learn? We just touched it and gained knowledge related to necromancy. We thought that it was just an artifact that granted knowledge."

A bitter feeling filled when I saw the confused way that they looked at .

From these looks on their faces, I could tell that they were serious about this.

I didn’t bother asking them anything else as I looked closely at the pillars of bone.

It was a good thing that I had studied quite a bit previously, so I was able to tell what kind of language this was. This was a language that had long been lost, so there were very few people that could understand this language.

I was one of those people.

"My na is Nagash and I pass down my techniques to the future generation. I hope that you will be able to one day revive with these techniques."

This was the first thing that was written on these pillars of bones.

It wasn’t any kind of instructions, it was just a simple engraving with the wishes of the person that had left behind this legacy.

After reading it, I couldn’t help revealing a look of thought as I looked at this one line.

That was because it felt like this na was familiar...

It really felt like I had heard this na sowhere before...

Nagash.

That was the na of the ancient necromancers that had been known as the Supre Lord of the Undead!

He was one of the first necromancers that had discovered many of the spells that had been passed down through the generations.

At the sa ti, he had been the one that had built an entire kingdom filled with undead at one point.

These pillars of bones confird that soone of his level was dead, but how did soone of his level die?

It really didn’t seem like there was anything that could kill soone like him.

Especially since he was a necromancer and would be able to turn himself into a lich or even an elder lich to live on. No, soone like him would have no doubt turned himself into an Undead King who could live forever.

So how could soone like him have perished?

It seed that the legacy that had been passed down in this village was anything but normal. It was just that they had no idea what it was, which was why the people of this village had never been able to take full advantage of this legacy.

I was different, I knew what it was and would be able to learn everything from it.

Once I cald myself, I started reading what was written beneath this one inscription.

As soon as I read it though, I could feel that there was a sharp pain that ca from my head that made imdiately look away while holding my head.

"Chief Faust, is sothing wrong?" The villagers all looked concerned when they saw like this, but I just waved my hand at them to show that I was fine.

However...

"Chief, are you sure that you’re alright?"

They asked this after I had looked away from the pillars of bones once more while holding my head in pain.

I didn’t know what it was, but there was sothing that prevented from reading the words that were on the bone pillar. It wasn’t that I didn’t recognize those words, it was just that there was sothing powerful that stopped whenever I tried to read them.

It was like there was so kind of power inside of these words that surged into that I couldn’t resist.

"Does that an that I have to use the sa thod as these villagers? Do I have to let it diffuse into my body so I can handle the power?"
