But before I could even do anything, the young necromancers spoke up first.
"He’s the one that saved us." They said before standing in front of as if they were protecting from the adults of the village.
As soon as they heard this, the adults looked at completely differently.
They ca over and said, "Thank you for saving our children."
It didn’t seem like there was any emotion other than gratitude that was in their voice when they said this.
I really didn’t know how to feel when they acted like this.
It might be easier if they were anything else, but these were necromancers.
Necromancers shouldn’t be acting this way...
I could easily tell that they were necromancers since I could feel the dark energy that was coming from them. It was hard to confuse them for anything else when they were surrounded in this dark energy.
But the way that they acted really was anything but that as they ca forward to pat on the shoulder and to bring into their village.
I didn’t want to go at first, but it really was hard to resist when they were like this.
Especially since they were acting this way...
It was hard to slap a smiling face...
So in the end, I followed them into the village.
When I entered the village, I found that these people were using the undead differently from others. The undead were being used for all kinds of normal tasks like taking care of children, helping with chores, and even farming.
It was almost as if the undead were residents of the village, rather than undead that were created by necromancers.
I didn’t understand what this village was, but it felt like it was different from other places that I’ve seen.
After bringing to the village, the first thing that they did was gather everyone in the town hall before introducing to everyone.
Though when they did this, they realized that there was sothing wrong.
It was that they didn’t know my na when they tried to introduce .
They realized that they had been too hasty, only learning that I had been the one that had saved the children. They didn’t actually ask anything other than how I had done that...
"My na is Faust." I introduced myself without saying anything else.
Though I had restrained myself like this, it didn’t seem like they minded at all as they started introducing themselves to . However, the way that they did this was a bit too much....
No one seed to wait for others to finish as they all tried introducing themselves at the sa ti. That ant that I was just straight bombarded by all of them trying to introduce themselves.
With them like this, it was hard to hear what they were saying and it was hard to morize any nas.
The one na that I did rember was the na of the one that was right beside .
That was because this person was important compared to the others.
That was because this person was the chief of this village and the father of the leader of the young necromancers.
Once they had finished introducing themselves, I asked them, "Can you tell what this village is? How did this village co to be?"
They didn’t hesitate at all to tell the story of their village.
It turned out that their ancestors had been a group of normal people that had been living in the wilderness until they stumbled upon this barrier. After stumbling upon this barrier, they entered the place that was hidden within and found the legacy of a necromancer.
From there, they learned all the things that the necromancer had left behind and had beco necromancers as well.
With what they learned, they had set up this village and passed on their learnings.
"That’s why we still have this barrier to protect us and we have our undead to help with all of our daily tasks."
"You aren’t a part of the Undead Society?"
That was the one thing that was the most important to .
"Undead Society?" All of the people of this village had confused looks on their faces when they heard this.
They acted the sa way that the young necromancers had done when I ntioned it before.
But I didn’t believe them right away...
"We’ve really never heard of an Undead Society before. In fact, we haven’t really t any necromancers other than the people of the village. You’re the first one that we’ve t so far."
I still didn’t believe what they said, but instead of wasting ti slowly questioning them...
"If you want to believe you, just let use a Soul Search on you."
"Soul Search?"
I couldn’t help feeling strange when I heard them repeat this.
After all, it didn’t sound like they were against it. It even seed like they were excited when I ntioned the Soul Search.
"We’ve never seen the real Soul Search before. It was recorded in the notes that our ancestors found from the necromancers, but we’ve never seen it done in real life before."
They really seed too excited for this...after all, if they knew what the Soul Search was, then they should know how painful this spell was. They should know how invasive it was to perform this Soul Search.
"Do you want to do it on ? I think that I would be able to provide the most information on this village." Tucker, the chief of this village asked .
"No, no, do it on ." Fisher, his son, tried to take this ’honour’ from him.
It didn’t take long before others tried to volunteer as well.
I couldn’t help revealing a strange look when I saw this, but it was a good thing that I had a mask covering my face.
In the end, I chose to use the Soul Search spell on Tucker since he was the chief and should know the most.
But the mont that I used it...
