'I wonder where they co from. It must have an origin, I don't think these gates are the creation of nature. Especially when you look at them. They have shapes of a large door, sothing very unnatural' Alex thought as he rembered his first ti looking at gates. 'I don't know if I should be thankful or not. My heroes turned out to be liars, the governnt that I believed in turned out to be manipulators. Everything that I had been living was a lie. My own naivety would have to lead to my own demise But this system ca to when I was at death's door and gave a chance. I now will not be as I was before. I already know that heroes aren't what I thought they were, they all beca corrupted' Alex couldn't help but think of everything that happened yesterday. His life was turned around, nothing was the sa now. But with this new life, he was also granted a new power.
Alex looked at his stats and sighed, 'I wonder what this system really is. I don't think this is so freak creation of nature. It wouldn't make any sense. Now that I think of it, none of these might be natural. Well, I don't know. My brain hurts when I think too deep into things. I feel like I'm in so conspiracy group, trying to find a reason for everything when they could just be a coincidence. I still have ti, for now. I need to get strong enough to help Hana. I also need to clear more gates. The more reapers I deal with, the more powerful I get." Alex had arrived outside of the apartnt, he was still in deep thought but he got out of the care and entered the main gate.
As Alex thought about dealing with reapers, a thought ca into his mind. "Killing shouldn't be that hard" Alex mumbled. Without knowing, Alex was in front of the reception. Rachel stood in front of him, "Alex?" She said in a confused tone. Alex jolted from deep thought and looked around him in confusion, 'I should really stop thinking like that. I didn't even realize that I entered the complex.' Alex looked towards Rachel and laughed, "I was just in deep thought."
Rachel nodded, "Those awakened. You didn't seem like that kind but as soon as you co back from the eting, you talk about killing I get that the reapers will kill us if you don't kill them but never act like their lives are nothing. Killing in that case if justified but what I'm saying is" She seed to be annoyed by the thought of killing. Alex nodded, "I get what you an. The thought of taking a life is disgusting but I also get what they an. And don't worry, no one told to go around and kill the reapers. But it is just common sense. Like you said, Killing them is the only choice. With creatures like the reapers, It's just kill or be killed. I've already experienced the being killed part once and I know that the only choice we have is to kill." Alex said to himself. It didn't sound like he was trying to convince Rachel but convince himself.
Alex rembered the ti where he only injured the invisible reaper, As soon as the reaper recovered, it went to attack Alex. He was saved by that other C rank under Sir Fire who killed the reaper with his sword.
"Killing is needed," Alex said to himself as he walked to the elevator. Rachel watched Alex walk with a confused face, "he must have a long on his mind." She said as she got back to her work.
As Alex returned back to the room, he sat down on the sofa and looked at the system.

"Hm?" Alex looked at the new prompt with a hint of confusion.
"At level 10 I guess that's my new small goal. Reach Level 10." Alex said as he opened his phone. But a look of disappointnt appeared on his face when Alex saw that there were no Gates.
"If there was a gate nearby, Even if I have to deal with them alone I'd be more than happy to do so. For the sake of getting more powerful." Alex sighed, he was serious. He wanted to get stronger, much stronger.
*ding!*
Alex heard a notification bell from the phone. He picked up the phone and looked again. "Speak of the devil."
It was a new gate, a D rank gate.
Alex looked at the location and was shocked, "Its" Alex quickly ran to the balcony and looked outside.
As he did, he saw a small gate in the middle of the street. People ran as far as they could from the gate, their faces in complete horror.
Alex loosened his tie and looked down, He had the impulse to jump. But after a quick look at the height, he was at, Alex quickly slapped himself and ran to the elevator.
As soon as the elevators opened, Alex ran out and headed straight towards the gate, a dagger in his hand.
As Alex ran to the gate, 2 people watched from their balcony.
"The kid's first gate. I want to see what he's got. If I rember, Master Zhun didn't even see anything inside of him, Just like miss Hana." A woman's voice said in a sultry voice.
"Hmm, I don't think we need to go and help him. It's a re D rank gate. Alex could defeat Rhino so there is nothing to worry about. Let's just watch. We could learn about his powers this way. I can already see that he can create physical weapons out of thin air, so He has casting powers. But the speed he is running at is also sothing that shows signs of enhanced physical prowess." A man's voice ca from behind the woman.
They two watched as Alex stood in front of the gate, a dagger in his hand. He was ready for a fight.
