“Haa, it seems like I haven’t had ti to rest since coming back here…”

I was eating a late supper at my apartnt when I let the words slip out of my mouth.

Just when I thought my turbulent life as a hero was over and I had returned, my first day at work was followed by the turbulent life of a new teacher. Isn't that pretty terrible?

After all, I don't even have ti to leisurely reminisce about my mories of "that world." I suppose that's just how modern working people are, but I can’t help but think it’s a bit strange.

Co to think of it, I wonder if the mbers of the hero’s party were properly appreciated when they returned to their ho countries. Unlike , each of them had a high status to begin with, so I’m sure they’ll be fine, but if I had gone back to the kingdom, I’m sure I would have been in a bad situation. I would have been happy to let the power struggles go their own way, but that’s not how it works in the world of politics, is it?

I watched TV in a daze, thinking about such things.

Suddenly, the variety show being broadcast switched to a news report.

“This is an ergency report. A break-in has occurred at the Nakatachi Building in Tokyo. Multiple perpetrators have sealed off the entire building and appear to be holding hostages in a standoff. The criminals’ motives are unknown. Police have surrounded the building and are currently investigating whether they can negotiate with the criminals.”

Man, things have gotten a lot more dangerous over here while I was away.

Rembering it now, before I went to “That World,” I rember a similar hostage situation being talked about, but I think it was in another country, not Japan.

"...We have received new information. It appears that the perpetrators are calling themselves 'Crimson Twilight.' I repeat, it appears that the perpetrators are calling themselves 'Crimson Twilight.'"

Oh, this embarrassing na reminds . I'm sure it was sothing like an "international criminal organization." I rember it being a topic of conversation among the students like, "Does such an organization really exist?"

Does that an they have finally appeared in Japan? Isn’t that a pretty terrible story?

I believe 'Crimson Twilight' were a bunch of crazy people who blew up entire buildings they took over.

"This is a surveillance video of the entrance to the building just before it was taken over. It shows several n of similar stature entering the building.”

The n on the TV were indeed of similar builds, if you ask . They seed to be wearing different clothes but had the sa sense of style. I can only assu that one of them picked out the clothes for all of them.

But more than that, there was sothing at the edge of the screen that caught my eye.

“Isn’t that Soutou?”

There was a girl with bright hair in twin-tails walking into the building with a large backpack on her back. It was definitely “Soutou Kagari,” a student in class 2-1, which I was the horoom teacher for, who has been officially absent from school since yesterday.

Oh, they’re all here.

Even though it was the middle of the night, there was an air of solemnity surrounding the 20-story building. The surrounding streets were lined with police cars and personnel carriers, and many police officers were roaming around. Additionally, reporters from the dia were stationed outside, making it look like a bit of a festival, although it may be inappropriate to call it that.

I was looking down on the scene from the roof of a nearby building. In the sa way, there seed to be mbers of a police special forces unit waiting on the rooftops of several nearby buildings.

Now, as to why I am here, I can only say that I couldn’t ignore one of my students' predicants.

To be honest, even though I have superhuman heroic powers, I have never thought about solving cases or anything like that. I was too busy with my daily life to even think about such things.

However, as a teacher, I had no choice but to take action when my student was involved.

But a terrorist attack by a criminal organization is not sothing that an ordinary teacher can do anything about.

Let’s see what it’s like inside…

With all of my sensing skills fully activated, I scanned the inside of the Nakatachi Building. All I can see is the creature’s general location, but it's enough information.

"The building has 25 floors above ground and two below. The people are gathered in the hall on the seventh floor. There are hardly any other people on the other floors. No, they’ve killed a few people. These people must be completely crazy."

There appear to be thirteen people, mostly on the seventh floor, who seem to be mbers of Crimson Twilight. Another five are on the second basent floor.

What is even more disturbing is that there is “soone” who is acting completely separately and independently from the rest of them.

As I watched, that "soone" approached a mber of "Crimson Twilight"…

"Oh, the reaction has disappeared. Did you kill ……?”

The “soone” who was thought to have eliminated the mbers of “Crimson Twilight” imdiately left the scene.

I have never experienced this kind of situation before, but it was probably a professional move. I thought they might be mbers of a police special forces unit, but they wouldn’t act alone. So are we talking about a forr Self-Defense Forces mber who happened to be involved in the case or sothing like that? No, no, this isn’t a movie.

Let’s just get in anyway.

I activated my 『Stealth』 and 『Optical Camouflage』 skills, disappeared, and dived off the roof of the building. I used wind magic three tis to push myself up, and there I was on the roof of the Nakatachi Building. I cut the lock of the rooftop door with the magic “Wind Blade” and entered the building occupied by a mysterious criminal organization.
