Blazren’s body ached. His arms trembled slightly from repeated clashes.

He took a step back, breath heavy, eyes sharp on the rat-like beast in front of him.

"You’re too strong for soone from the lower zones."

He kept his guard up.

"I’m a peak A-Rank. You shouldn’t be able to push like this."

Scavratt stepped forward, his rusted chains dragging across the ground with a tallic scrape.

His smile showed jagged tal teeth.

"Of course I’m strong."

His claws clenched.

"Because of an experint."

Blazren narrowed his eyes.

"What kind of experint?"

Scavratt rolled his shoulders, his mutated muscles twitching under rusted plates.

"The kind that gives you power... when you survive."

He raised one hand and flexed his fingers.

"I got sothing special. They called it a class."

Blazren took a half step back.

"A class?"

Scavratt’s grin widened.

"Yeah. They cut open, rebuilt , pumped all kinds of crap into . I survived."

Blazren muttered under his breath.

"A villain group... creating artificial classes?"

He scanned the enemy again.

The strange power. The unnatural resilience. It made sense.

"You an that," Blazren said louder, "you’re the only success?"

Scavratt tilted his head.

"All the others died. I lived. You know why?"

His foot stomped forward, cracking the concrete beneath.

"Because I have sothing they don’t."

He raised his claws.

"I have hate. I want revenge."

"And I won’t die until I rip out the heart of that bastard Heavenly Demon."

Blazren’s expression tightened.

"You’re not after just any hero. You’re targeting him specifically."

Scavratt laughed.

"He destroyed my gang. Left half-dead."

"Then I got thrown into that lab. I was supposed to be trash."

He spread his arms.

"Look at now."

Blazren adjusted his stance. He needed to stall.

If what this thing said was true, there was a bigger threat than anyone expected.

"If what you say is real... I’ll have to report this."

He flexed his fingers, fire beginning to form faintly around them.

"A villain group that can make a class... that’s worse than the Heavenly Demon Sect."

Scavratt snarled.

"You’re not reporting anything."

His feet scraped the ground as he leaned forward, ready to charge.

"You’re going to die right here."

Blazren clicked his tongue.

"Damn it. I can’t go down here."

He looked up, frustration building.

"Where the hell are those AA-Rank heroes?"

His fists clenched.

"I’m holding on by a thread out here."

---

Zain crouched on top of a half-crushed billboard overlooking the scene.

Smoke curled out from the craters.

Blazren’s flaming body moved more slowly now.

Sparks flickered around his arms.

The ratman still stood, grin wide, rusted chains dragging behind him.

Zain watched without blinking.

"Blazren’s losing," he muttered.

He hadn’t moved yet.

His eyes narrowed at the shadows behind the broken stadium walls.

That wolfman wasn’t anywhere in sight, but Zain knew. He could feel it.

The pressure. The hidden threat.

He wasn’t stupid enough to walk in blind when soone stronger than him might be watching.

But that was in the past. He already has a class now.

But he still rember how he got beaten up so easily so this wolfman must be a class user.

He wasn’t sure if he was now stronger than him or not.

So he decided to hide first and watched the battle.

His quickly glanced at Scavratt.

"So they really gave him a Class. That idiot was barely B-Rank."

"Now he’s AA? Artificial Class creation... that’s not good."

"Even the Heavenly Demon Sect would struggle with that."

His fingers clenched against the tal bar.

"Scavratt... the gang leader I should’ve killed. Because of him, Zelia almost—"

He stood, quiet. No grand pose. Just a long breath.

"They saved him back then. The Wolfman."

"Pulled him away right when I went for the final strike."

"I thought he’d rot underground as he was weak. Seems I’m wrong."

He looked down again. The battlefield shifted.

Blazren stumbled as a wave of rust exploded from the ratman’s chest.

He barely blocked it with [Fla Body], but he was slowing down.

Zain’s eyes didn’t blink.

"This might be my fault. He’s not after Heavenly Demon Sect. He’s after ."

He rolled his shoulders and stretched his neck.

"Blazren’s strong. But he’s not getting out of this alone."

He hadn’t jumped down yet. He didn’t call out. He waited.

He needed the Wolfman to show himself.

"If he’s watching... good. Let him think I’m not going to move."

But still, Blazren was losing fast. He can’t let him be killed by Scavratt.

Suddenly he paused, a thought hitting him.

"Scavratt... you said they experinted on you and gave you a Class."

His smirk returned.

"Let’s see if that’s true."

He focused.

"System, scan him now."

Zain crossed his arms and waited, watching the numbers tick.

"Still have five million. One million’s nothing if this tells what I need."

---

Zain’s brows lifted.

"So that’s how they did it."

He began to think about it again.

The mont the wolfman saved Scavratt was when he was about to kill him.

"That wolfman... he didn’t save Scavratt out of pity."

"The serum works best with beast-related abilities... beast shift users."

"That’s why he saved him, because he was one of the best experintal subjects."

He also rembered sothing when he t the wolfman a second ti.

He looked toward where he rembered killing a few beast-shift villains a while back.

"He was also angry when I absorbed those corpses until they were gone."

"It must be because they used beast-shift corpses and beast parts as ingredients."

"No wonder he was angry. I took the ingredients they needed."

His smirk returned.

"Now it all makes sense."

He paused, pulling his hood lower.

"But this gives an idea."

He pulled open his system interface, smirking.

"Let’s see if I can do this..."
