Skybrand readied her swords, eyes locked on the darkness ahead.

She could feel the tension in the air, every muscle in her body ready.

A shadow shifted, a sudden presence breaking the silence.

Velvet Demon appeared, her movents graceful and sharp.

She lunged forward, sending a high-speed spinning kick towards Skybrand.

Skybrand’s body tensed, and [Flashstep Reflex] activated.

She vanished, reappearing a step away, safe from the kick’s reach.

Skybrand narrowed her eyes.

"You’ve co. It’s ti to pay for that humiliation."

Velvet Demon smirked, her lips curling.

"Are you sure about that, little eagle?"

"This ti I’m the one who will make you into a bald eagle."

Skybrand’s face darkened. "Damn you."

She focused her energy, wings shimring.

[Skyline Execution]

She blinked instantly behind Velvet Demon, her swords aid for the perfect strike.

She swung hard, blades slicing through the air.

Velvet Demon turned just as the blades neared, a slow grin on her face.

"That trick won’t work on twice."

She sent a powerful spinning kick back, faster than before.

Skybrand felt the air shift, [Flashstep Reflex] triggering again.

She blinked away, avoiding the strike.

Velvet Demon frowned.

"Damn it, your ability is really too damn overpower."

Skybrand glared. "You talk too much."

She took a deep breath, wind gathering around her blades.

[Gale Rift Cutter]

A sharp wave of wind shot forward, slicing the ground and tearing towards Velvet Demon.

Velvet Demon let it hit.

The wind cut through her skin, black ether spilling out.

But she only laughed, her body glowing. "More. More!"

Skybrand’s eyes widened. "Are you a masochist?"

Velvet Demon’s grin widened.

"Maybe I am, maybe I’m not. But why don’t I make you into one, too?"

Skybrand gritted her teeth. "Damn you."

She lunged forward, blades ready. "This ends now."

Velvet Demon shifted her stance, her body twisting with impossible grace.

"Co on, eagle. Let’s see if you can fly."

---

Neuro frowned, watching from his vantage point as the fight unfolded.

His neural visor tracked every movent, every slice of the blade, every dodge that defied his calculations.

"How can this be?"

Velvet Demon was moving too fast, her kicks sharper, her attacks more refined.

Neuro had seen her fight just a week ago.

She was already formidable then.

But now, every step she took was more precise, every strike harder to predict.

"It’s not even a week since their first battle," he thought.

"How can she beco stronger in such a short ti?"

His eyes scanned her movents, analyzing each angle.

He calculated wind flow and muscle tension.

Even the way she struck was aligned with her center of mass.

Nothing added up.

"It seems that in the Heavenly Demon Sect," he continued.

"They have so ability that turns corpses into power for others."

His mind raced.

The thought of such a power intrigued him.

It wasn’t just a technique—it was a ga-changer.

"This is really interesting."

But then he frowned, his gaze sweeping the battlefield.

"Aren’t there two people coming? Where’s the other one?"

Suddenly, a powerful kick flew toward him.

Neuro’s [Prediction Matrix] activated, and he leaned back just in ti to avoid it.

A man in a tight black and red suit landed in front of him, a mask covering his face.

Neuro’s eyes narrowed. "Who are you?"

The masked man’s voice was low, but it carried a sharp edge.

"You can call the Heavenly Demon, the leader of the Heavenly Demon Sect."

Neuro’s mind clicked into overdrive.

"I was right. There is soone stronger than Velvet Demon."

He took a step forward.

"But still, Heavenly Demon, why choose that na?"

"Don’t you know there’s already a hero with that na?"

Heavenly Demon stood tall, his arms crossed over his chest.

His eyes locked onto Neuro with a calm, steady glare.

"Of course I know, but why do I care?"

His voice dropped low, carrying a dangerous tone.

"Heavenly Demon is a na from those old Murim novels."

"It’s the na of a ruler who dominated everything. A king among n."

"I want to be like that—soone who rules the world."

He shook his head slowly, his smirk unwavering.

"Whether a hero uses my na doesn’t matter to ."

He paused, his tone sharpening.

"But still, how dare he use that na. Heavenly Demon as a hero?"

"That’s an insult to that na."

His hands clenched into fists, his knuckles white.

"After this, I need to find him. I need to make sure he never uses that na again."

Neuro’s mind flickered with pity for Zain.

"Poor kid."

He focused back on Heavenly Demon.

"Is your ability able to turn corpses into power?"

Heavenly Demon’s eyes widened under the mask.

"So you knew, huh?"

Neuro’s tone sharpened.

"You better tell how it works. Or else."

Heavenly Demon tilted his head.

"Why do I need to tell you? You can’t even use it."

Neuro smirked, his silver-gray eyes steady.

"But I can take it."

Heavenly Demon paused.

"You can take it?"

Neuro’s smile grew.

"Of course. I’m the smartest hero. I can put your ability into a machine."

Heavenly Demon’s laugh was short and cold.

"I see. But I don’t think you’re powerful enough with that smart brain."

Neuro’s eyes sharpened.

"Why don’t you find out?"

Heavenly Demon’s hands clenched.

"Sure. Let’s see if you can take away my ability."

The wind shifted between them, the night air heavy with tension.

Both n locked eyes, their auras sharp.

Neuro’s visor blinked.

[Cerebral Sync Burst]

His body moved instantly, dodging as Heavenly Demon’s fist cut the air.

Heavenly Demon smirked, his aura swirling with dark energy.

"You’re fast."

Neuro’s voice was calm.

"You’re strong."

Heavenly Demon lunged, his foot glowing.

[Heavenly Demon Kick]

Neuro blinked, his body sliding sideways.

"You’ll have to do better than that."

The ground cracked under the force of the missed kick.

Neuro’s mind raced.

"If I can catch him, I can learn it. If I can learn it, I can end this."

He lunged, his hand glowing with

[Neural Dagger Pierce]

Heavenly Demon grinned."Co on, hero."

They clashed in the dark, the battle just beginning.
