Velra laughed softly, her voice echoing through the ruined chamber.

She looked at their stunned faces.

"Relax," she said, stepping forward with a slow sway in her hips.

"You don’t need to be scared."

One of the B-Rank heroes raised his voice, still shaken.

"Are you... are you with Valcair?"

Velra laughed louder, placing one hand on her hip.

"Valcair? Don’t worry."

She leaned forward slightly, voice low and mocking.

"I’m not with him."

The heroes looked at each other in confusion.

Then she smiled wider.

"Because he’s already dead."

The captain’s eyes widened. "What?"

Velra stood straight and crossed her arms.

"Yeah," she said. "I killed him."

"You’re lying," one of the A-Ranks said.

Velra shrugged. "Believe what you want. But the truth doesn’t care."

She took another step closer, her boots clicking softly.

"All the slaves he had? They’re mine now."

The fla wielder stepped forward. "All of them?"

Velra shook her head.

"Not all. I only kept the female ones. The strong, clean, useful ones."

"As for the beast-n and those wild male slaves..."

She grinned.

"I left them for you to clean up at the other bases."

The eagle scout clenched his fists. "You—"

Velra raised a finger.

"Oh, and one more thing."

She stretched out her arms like she was showing off a prize.

"I, the Velvet Demon, officially declare—"

"I’ve reached AA-Rank."

The room went silent again.

"And I’m not alone anymore."

She smirked under her mask.

"I’ve ford a new villain group."

She stepped back into the mist slowly as she spoke.

"We’re called... the Heavenly Demon Sect."

The words hit like a shockwave.

"Tell your leader," she added, "to train better heroes."

She gave a mock wave with two fingers.

"Because next ti... you’ll need more than fire and tal to stop ."

And then—just like that—her body vanished into pink light and smoke.

Gone.

The chamber stayed quiet for a long mont.

---

The A-Rank heroes stood still, frowning.

None of them spoke for a mont. The echo of Velra’s words still rang in their heads.

One of them finally said, "Did she just say she killed Valcair?"

Another added, "And took all the slaves? That... that’s insane."

The fla wielder clenched his jaw.

"This isn’t just a mission anymore. This is turning into a war."

Then Blazren’s voice ca through the comm.

They all turned toward the device as his voice cracked in with a sharp tone.

"...I heard everything," Blazren said. "Damn it."

He sounded tense. Angrier than usual.

"To think Valcair—the one behind the recent deaths, the slave attacks—is already dead..."

He paused.

"But what’s worse... now the Velvet Demon has taken his place."

The team stayed silent, listening.

Blazren continued, "She took his slaves. Ford her own group. A villain group."

"And she reached AA-Rank."

The A-Rank captain stepped forward, face tight.

"Sir, AA-Rank villains rarely moved in B-Zones so this could be troubleso."

"I know," Blazren replied. "That’s what makes this worse."

The eagle scout whispered, "Then why is she here? Why now?"

Blazren answered, "That’s what I want to know too."

He sighed.

"And that na... Heavenly Demon Sect."

Another A-Rank frowned. "That na... it sounds familiar."

Blazren’s voice lowered.

"There’s only one person in B-Zone who calls himself the Heavenly Demon."

The fla user looked around. "You an..."

Blazren confird it.

"Zain."

Everyone looked at each other.

The na sent a chill through the team.

"Is he part of this?" one B-Rank asked.

Blazren didn’t answer right away.

"I don’t know yet," he finally said. "But I’m going to ask him."

Blazren then gave another order to them.

"For now... Return to base. Regroup. Rest."

"You’ve done enough for now."

There was a short pause as the team stood quietly, the sounds of the destroyed battlefield around them.

"But we still have other bases to clear," one of the A-Rank heroes said.

Blazren replied with a sigh.

"I know. And we will. But rushing in half-dead will only get more of you killed."

The team slowly nodded, accepting his command.

The fire wielder stepped back, still breathing hard. "Understood, sir."

Blazren was silent for a mont. Then his voice ca back, lower this ti.

"...Heavenly Demon."

Everyone turned toward the comms again.

Zain’s na wasn’t sothing Blazren said lightly.

"You’re a hero," Blazren said. "You passed the tests. You took the oath."

His voice was firm now.

"So why are you grouped with her?"

The heroes didn’t say a word. They just listened.

"She said the na," Blazren continued.

"Heavenly Demon Sect. That’s not a coincidence."

"Is this a ga to you?" he asked. "Or have you switched sides?"

Silence followed.

Blazren’s voice turned cold. "If you’re helping her... if you’re behind this..."

"Then you’ll be treated like the enemy."

He paused again.

"I need an answer. Soon."

Then the line cut.

The heroes looked at each other. No one knew what to say.

The captain lowered his weapon. "If Zain really is part of that group..."

The tal user muttered, "He’s not soone we can stop."

"Not yet," the eagle scout added.

The vine user looked down. "What if he already chose?"

No one had an answer.

They turned to leave, heads low, minds heavy.

The war with Valcair had ended.

But a darker one had just begun.

---

Zain walked calmly through the streets of BB-1.

He was heading straight to the Hero Association branch.

"Velra should’ve told them about the group by now," he muttered.

He smirked.

"That ans they’re already talking about ."

He looked up at the building ahead.

Ti to play his part.

"Let’s beco an S-Rank actor today."

He chuckled.

"No one can resist my charm anyway."

He stepped through the main doors, the glass sliding open.

Heroes and staff looked his way, so pausing mid-step. Others whispered.

Zain gave a small smile, tilting his head slightly.

"All eyes already on ," he said softly. "Good."

As he moved deeper into the building, he thought to himself.

"Ti to find Blazren. Let’s see if the old man can still tell truth from lies."

He ran a hand through his hair and kept walking, calm and casual.

He didn’t rush.

He didn’t need to.

After all, he was Zain.

The Heavenly Demon.

And the stage was ready.
