Heidi was not just a queen of a nation but also Antasia’s mother; she could tell from the way her daughter looked at Qin Chu that her daughter was deeply in love with this man.

Seeing her daughter have a good match naturally made Heidi very happy.

This son-in-law might have many won around him, but it was clear that her daughter was very happy at his side.

Moreover, when they were previously in the Imperial Palace, Qin Chu had taken great care of her daughter.

If not for her daughter, why else would Qin Chu, now a Hero and the Pope of the Holy Court, personally co to the Ice Duchy to deal with the peril of national extinction?

These facts attested to how dearly the Hero Qin Chu doted on her daughter, which made Heidi increasingly fond of this son-in-law the more she saw of him.

In the depths of the glacier, a place Heidi had never been to, she knew it was filled with dangers.

Even before disaster struck, it was a region that ordinary people could hardly set foot in; the extrely low temperatures were utterly inhospitable to any life, and even powerful Magicians would struggle to endure there.

Magic Shields ford from condensed Magic Power would also crack due to the extre cold.

The unknown could pique curiosity.

It was like the Endless Sea: although everyone knew it was a domain of death and that hardly one in a hundred who entered could co out alive, the sa was true for the glaciers of the Extre North.

Yet humanity is a species full of curiosity.

To so, it seed like a death wish.

But to others, it represented adventure... They regarded it as a challenge, the most valuable and aningful endeavor in their lives.

It was exactly for this reason that the Ice Duchy had once welcod many who passed through the duchy and ventured into the boundless glacier, among them the Martial God, the Great Sage, although most vanished amidst the vast icy expanse.

And now, her own son-in-law was about to enter that realm of death.

Heidi had already witnessed the extent of Qin Chu’s strength, and there was no doubt about his power, but even with the prowess of a Hero venturing into such a dangerous area, Heidi couldn’t help but worry.

At this mont, weighing on the scales of Heidi’s heart were the welfare of her daughter and the two million citizens of the Ice Duchy. Heidi could not hinder her son-in-law from adventuring into the deep glacier for the sake of her daughter’s happiness... but at the very least, preparations had to be made.

The Ice Duchy had very little understanding of the depths of the glacier; however, by consulting ancient tos overnight, they might indeed find so useful information. Furthermore, after a grueling half-day, the son-in-law’s complexion had visibly paled, his breath weakened.

Stepping into the glacier under these conditions naturally ant that the degree of danger would rise again.

After Heidi’s repeated persuasions, Qin Chu gave up the idea of departing imdiately, deciding instead to rest for the night and take action the next morning.

Osvid quickly arranged for the Royal Palace’s staff to ticulously inform the residents not to panic. The strange black protective barrier in the sky was not going to harm them; on the contrary, it was their umbrella of protection.

Qin Chu also briefly discussed with everyone that on this trip into the deep glacier, he planned to go alone. In such a weird place, having more people might not necessarily be effective.

After all, the remains of the Evil God lay buried deep within the glacier, and Qin Chu did not want to let Angelica, or even Great Shaye, accompany him on the adventure.

Of course, convincing the girls was not an easy task, and it wasn’t until Qin Chu had nearly worn out his lips that they finally stopped insisting. They would stay in the Royal City as Qin Chu requested. Great Shaye would take over in maintaining the Eternal Darkness should Little Shaye’s Magic Power fail, and the other won would take on the task of leading an ergency large-scale migration of the Ice Duchy’s residents through the snowstorm should any unforeseen situation arise. However, a trace of dissatisfaction was still clearly visible on the girls’ faces.

In the evening, they indulged in a lavish al, savoring the Ice Duchy’s cuisine; perhaps due to the incredibly cold weather, the dishes were mostly high in calories with heavy use of salt and oil.

After Qin Chu was satiated with food and drink, Heidi knocked on the door at just the right mont.

"Qin, your room is ready. You should get so rest early tonight," Heidi said with a gentle smile on her face and a slight curve to her lips.

Compared to Osvid, Heidi was much more relaxed around Qin Chu, not caring too much about his status as a Hero and Pope; the word son-in-law trumped everything.

As a mother-in-law, calling him "Qin" was perfectly fine.

Qin Chu stretched and stood up: "Thank you very much, Miss Heidi."

Miss Heidi, Qin Chu’s way of addressing her... sohow calling her mother-in-law felt odd.

The moniker made Heidi cover her mouth and chuckle: "Miss Heidi? It’s been many years since anyone has called that. I’m over forty now, and the title ’Miss’ is too much for to bear."

"Haha, Miss Heidi is too modest; standing next to Antasia, I thought you were her sister," Qin Chu said with a chuckle.

Qin Chu had grown from his forr wooden self and had beco more articulate.

True to form, no woman dislikes being told she looks young, and Heidi’s smile beca even more tender and charming: "Qin, you have such a way with words. No wonder you have so many girls who like you."
