After quietly assessing his own strength, Qin Chu silently drifted away.
More than an hour later, he appeared above a military camp.
This was a human camp.
Frankly, Qin Chu didn’t think the general in charge of this war was an idiot, even though he had lost a lot of territory.
The orders for repeated retreats all ca from this side’s leadership. Rather than demanding a head-on clash between the frontline soldiers and the alarmingly large demon army, he chose to keep retreating, continually consolidating his forces. The number of soldiers within the army grew, while Deacon’s demon army beca increasingly overextended.
In the camp, this general hadn’t even taken a rest; he was agonizing over a map. He was also under trendous pressure, having received twelve Gold Tokens representing royal authority, urging him to deploy troops for a decisive battle and to stop the demons from trampling over human territories any longer.
After a while, the old general lifted his head and sighed, only to be surprised to find that an unknown figure had appeared before him, "Who?"
After a brief mont of shock, the old general quickly realized, "Eh? Mr. Brave, what brings you here?"
This general, nad Cromwell, was a noble, an earl who had seen Qin Chu at a banquet... well, at the scene where the Prince’s head blew up in the Imperial City, a talented man among a rare few in that group of dirty, foolish nobles.
"Lord Cromwell, it’s been days. You seem much older," Qin Chu remarked.
This wasn’t rely a pleasantry, for even though in his fifties, Marquis Cromwell’s hair had turned completely white.
Hearing what Qin Chu said, Cromwell couldn’t help but offer a bitter smile, "I’ve grown old, my body isn’t as strong as it used to be."
"By the way, Lord Marquis, do you know about the recent events in the Imperial City? A huge change in the Holy Court," Qin Chu suddenly shifted the topic.
"I’ve heard so..."
"That’s good. I have taken over from Augustus and beco the new Pope," Qin Chu said with a slight nod.
Cromwell squinted his eyes, "So you an, the Brave... ah, no, His Holiness the Pope, intends to lead the Holy Court’s Holy n to join the front lines and rebuild the Holy Court’s dignity and prestige?"
Indeed, dealing with the wise is always easier.
Qin Chu nodded with satisfaction, "Mm-hmm, that’s right. Oh, and here is a small gift."
While speaking, Qin Chu took sothing larger than a table out of his storage ring and dumped it in front of Cromwell.
After only a glance, Cromwell gasped in shock.
It was a head.
Cromwell was more familiar with whose head it was than anyone else.
It was the head of the Demon Prince, Deacon.
Had this terrifyingly powerful demon truly been slain by Mr. Brave?
Although it was said that Mr. Brave’s strength had been increasing at a terrifying rate, this seed far too exaggerated. How exactly did he manage to kill the Third Demon Prince from among two hundred thousand demons?
The answer was simple: annihilate the two hundred thousand demons as well.
"Together with the General and many soldiers, I have just killed the Third Demon Prince. General Cromwell led his soldiers in a valiant struggle, obliterating a demon army of two hundred thousand," Qin Chu said with a beaming smile.
Yet that smile sent a chill through Cromwell’s body.
What exactly did Mr. Brave an by this? Could it be that not only had Mr. Brave killed the Third Demon Prince, but he had also annihilated the two hundred thousand demon army?
God, what kind of monster had erged?
Ah, no, it was terribly rude to call Mr. Brave a monster.
"To wipe out a demon army of two hundred thousand in one stroke, that must be a great rit. I believe the Empire’s rewards won’t be stingy," said Cromwell.
Old and cunning Cromwell imdiately understood upon hearing this, crossing his hands in front of his chest, "Oh, no, Mr. Brave, this is not solely the rit of my excellent soldiers. It was also the rit of thousands of Holy Knights, thousands of Priests, and nuns from the Holy Court. Without their support, we could not have achieved victory in our confrontation with the demons. The Holy n of the Holy Court saved the lives of tens of thousands of brave soldiers."

Although I haven’t seen a single one.
But what Cromwell said sounded as if it were true, "My subordinates have received the favor of the Goddess, and from today onward, we all are the most devout believers of the Holy Light Goddess. We will spread the God Sect’s rcy and power far and wide."
"If possible, I wish to beco an Honorary Knight of the Holy Court, It would certainly be the greatest honor of my life," Cromwell said.
"The Holy Light Goddess is never stingy with her believers. So, to fulfill your wish, Lord Cromwell, as of today, you are now an Honorary Knight of the Holy Court."
Qin Chu took out the Holy Light Scepter and gently tapped Cromwell’s head with it.
"May the Holy Light protect you."
As the voice fell, Cromwell seed to feel a surge of magic power. When he looked up again, the Hero had vanished without a trace, leaving only a giant head that remained within the tent.
His body shook violently for a mont, and Cromwell quickly burst out of the tent, leading a group of elite scouts toward the demon’s territory, over a dozen kiloters away.
When they arrived, all they could see were Dean’s body parts scattered on the ground.
And the dust underfoot like a desert!
Cromwell’s body was trembling slightly. Had the Hero turned all the demons to ashes?
He was truly too powerful, too strong.
What was most important was that even though the Hero had done everything, Mr. Brave was not taking all the credit. He was even willing to share so of the accolades with himself and with those warriors.
Truly, he was magnificent!
...
Demon King City.
Luo ng was cautiously gathering intelligence.
Although there had been no slayings of Hero Team mbers recently, nor any conquests like his other brothers and sisters, Luo ng was happy.
Because just recently, he had received a ssage from Candice.
Lord Horus, using so clever sches, incited the Hero to kill his third brother, Dean.
Really... that was just great.
Sitting at ho, doing nothing, and a powerful competitor was gone—what could be better than that?
Indeed, following the advice of Candice and Lord Horus was the right decision. As Mr. Horus put it, now was not the ti to be reckless, as it could lead to disaster.
As long as he kept sending out little pieces of the information he gathered, he didn’t even need to struggle with fighting, the throne of the Demon King was beckoning him, drawing closer.
His power hadn’t grown, but as long as the others’ powers were waning, it was as if he was getting stronger.
Luo ng was very satisfied with his current carefree life.
Just as Luo ng’s figure passed the entrance to the Demon King Palace, about to collect so more intelligence for Horus, he suddenly spotted a strangely familiar figure leaving the Demon King Palace.
In that instant, Luo ng even felt a bit confused.
He rubbed his massive eyes subconsciously, staring at the silhouette—it seed more familiar the more he looked.
From the back, it appeared to be his eldest brother, Diaberlic?
But hadn’t he died?
Resurrected from the dead?
