Looking at the dagger piercing her heart, Shaye felt sowhat annoyed.

All because of Qin Chu.

If it hadn’t been for the weird reaction between Qin Chu’s blood and the Evil God’s Blood, she wouldn’t have been so distracted that soone could sneak up on her from behind without her noticing.

It didn’t actually hurt.

After all, this type of pure physical attack had absolutely no effect on her as an Energy Body.

It didn’t matter whether her heart was pierced or her entire body was crushed into pieces; Shaye didn’t care at all.

Even though the blood on the shelf behind her was important, Shaye was more interested in the weird woman in front of her. She felt a strange sense of familiarity with her, as if she had seen her sowhere before, but she couldn’t recall who she was at the mont.

Tilting her head.

Shaye’s right hand swiftly reached towards the petite girl’s face.

The assassin clearly hadn’t expected Shaye to not die imdiately after her heart was pierced, let alone fight back. What’s more, the assassin hadn’t anticipated that this woman, who seed like a Magician, could move her hands so fast.

Caught off guard, the black veil on the assassin’s face was instantly grabbed and pulled down by Shaye.

A pale, bloodless little face was revealed.

Even Shaye was startled when she saw that face.

"Aileen?"

"No, Aili?"

The petite assassin had an extrely flat figure.

Orange eyes.

And that mischievous and peculiar little face that could even be considered cute by those unaware of her true nature...

If not one of the Twin Thieves, then who?

But was it Aileen or Aili?

Aili was already dead.

When Qin Chu and Shaye left Aili, a large group of goblins were erging from the forest. Already half-drained of blood and barely alive, Aili had no chance of survival in front of those goblins.

So, could the assassin before her eyes be Aileen?

But there were so subtle differences.

Compared to the original Aileen, the girl’s skin was even paler now, almost devoid of the trace of any blood circulating.

Her skin was icy cold, as if she had been dead for many years.

The Twin Thieves were almost indistinguishable in appearance, with the only distinguishing feature being their hair color and style.

Aileen had a waterfall of brown straight hair, while Aili had golden twin ponytails.

But now, the girl’s hair in front of her had turned red like fresh blood... For a mont, even Shaye couldn’t tell who the girl was.

The girl, whether Aili or Aileen, had a sharp look in her eyes and didn’t answer Shaye Nicholas’s question. With a flick of her finger, the dagger tore upwards from Shaye’s heart.

Chest cavity, neck, entire face, and even the skull, were suddenly split in two.

Just as the mysterious girl thought Shaye was definitely dead this ti, the split halves of Shaye’s figure suddenly rippled with waves, and in the next instant, two complete Shayes surrounded the mysterious assassin, one in front and one behind.

A pale finger stretched out, lightly flicking the weird threads shooting out of the assassin’s hands.

The slender fingernails seed sharper than a dagger.

With a pop, the silver threads instantly snapped.

Shaye caught the glass bottle that was falling toward the ground in mid-air.

The weird assassin’s expression changed slightly, but before she could react, Shaye’s figure swayed gently again. In that mont, the girl assassin only felt a dazzling confusion before her eyes.

Seven Shaye Nicholases suddenly appeared around her, each with Magic Power swiftly surging at their fingertips.

Hand opened, fingers slightly bent, as if grasping sothing.

The next instant, her fingers clenched suddenly.

Faintly audible was a snap.

Sothing seed to have shattered in the palm of Shaye Nicholas.

At the center of the seven surrounding Shaye Nicholases, the mysterious girl assassin instantly stiffened, spat out a mouthful of bright red blood, and as if completely losing support, she collapsed face-down on the ground with a thump.

Phew...

Heart control.

One of the dark magics.

It’s been a long ti since I used it, and it felt a bit unfamiliar at first.

The seven Shayes rged back into one and, with a graceful sway, walked toward the girl on the ground to take a closer look at who she really was.

But just then, the girl whom Shaye was certain had her heart crushed suddenly opened her eyes, unfolded a pair of bat-like wings behind her, and with a whoosh, flew out the window.

Caught off guard, Shaye had no chance to intervene and could only watch helplessly as the girl vanished before her eyes... It was several seconds later that Shaye let out a wry chuckle.

With a hint of helplessness, she raised her hand and knocked on her head. It seed she hadn’t been active for too long, her body no longer as agile as it once was; it appeared that fighting from ti to ti might still be necessary in the future.

Although she failed to capture the assassin, who might be either Aili or Aileen, Shaye didn’t seem too concerned about it.

After all, Shaye was very strong, and even though she hadn’t fully recovered, it would have been no difficult feat to destroy this little assassin. Next ti they t, she wouldn’t give her the chance to survive.

The woman’s goal was not to assassinate her, but to obtain that bottle of blood.

Why?

From where did this woman get her information?

Was her target the original blood of the Evil God, or the blood that could be directly used after fusion?

Stretching her arms, Shaye descended the stairs filled with doubt.

Downstairs, Qin Chu’s bedroom.

Angelica was straightening out her clothes.

Looking at her torn white silk stockings, she pouted, seemingly a bit displeased.

The clothes were expensive; even though her master was wealthy, it was no excuse for such waste.

And besides, it was still dayti, which made Angelica feel unusually embarrassed. Only after ensuring no traces were left in her appearance, which she checked in the mirror, did Angelica start to relax. Resting her hand on her chest, she turned to ask Qin Chu, "Master, what is my condition exactly?"

In fact, Angelica already had an answer in her heart.

Just by looking at her master’s complexion, she knew that if her own situation was really bad, her master wouldn’t have such an easygoing deanor.

As expected, Qin Chu smiled, "For now, you’re okay, I don’t feel anything abnormal in your soul."

"But we can’t be careless. You have to be more careful in the future, and if sothing like this happens again, make sure to notify imdiately. No matter what happens, it cannot be delayed, understand?" Qin Chu said while caressing Angelica’s hair.

Angelica obediently nodded her petite head.

Just then, a figure silently floated through the door... Yes, it passed directly through the door, not even the effort to open it was spared.

If not Shaye, then who could it be?

For the pure Energy Body of Shaye, in a place without Magic Restrictions, nothing could hinder her presence, whether it was a securely locked door or solid walls.

Even though she, as a pure Energy Body, was even more delicate than that of Violet, she still appeared more human than normal humans.

Thankfully, Shaye ca through the door; if she had dropped straight down from the ceiling, the scene would have been even more frightening.

The hard-won mont of tenderness was broken.

Qin Chu had so displeasure in his heart, but seeing Shaye’s expression, he understood sothing very important must have happened.

"Angelica, it seems that your issue has been resolved," Shaye said to Angelica with a soft smile. Since she had previously revealed her existence to Angelica, Shaye didn’t hide anything, although Angelica was quite startled at the ti.

"Can you leave alone with Qin Chu for a bit? There’s an important matter that needs attention," she continued.

Angelica was very clever, and upon hearing Shaye’s words, she simply nodded, even closing the door obediently behind her as she left.

Qin Chu was slightly dissatisfied, "What’s the matter, sothing Angelica can’t know about?"

"I have my reasons for not letting her know," Shaye glanced at Qin Chu.

"I was just attacked in the laboratory."

Qin Chu’s expression instantly beca serious, "How are you, did you get hurt?"

Seeing Qin Chu inquire about her well-being first rather than the assassin, Shaye felt a bit comforted inside. Hmph, at least you have so conscience.

"Don’t worry, although the assailant was a very capable assassin, she couldn’t injure . I managed to capture her veil," Shaye reassured him.

Only then did Qin Chu breathe a sigh of relief, "As long as you’re unhard, that’s good. Who is the assassin?"

Shaye shook her head, "I don’t know..."

Qin Chu sharply caught the issue in Shaye’s response, realizing that despite having seen the face clearly, she still said she didn’t know, rather than not recognizing.

"I don’t know if this assassin is Aileen or Aili..." Shaye quietly elaborated.

Qin Chu was montarily stunned, then instinctively said, "That’s impossible, Aili is dead."

Shaye rubbed her forehead, "Yes, Aili should be dead, but... that assassin bore a striking resemblance to both Aili and Aileen, yet her hair color and style was unlike either of them. It seed as though the Vampire bloodline within her, belonging to the Demon, had fully awakened, turning her hair into a bright red hue."

"It could be Aileen’s new image, but we also didn’t witness Aili’s death firsthand."

This was indeed a problem. They had been in a hurry to return and plan their next steps, only wanting to throw Aili to the goblins for a sowhat miserable death.

Not having killed Aili themselves or having seen her death was indeed an oversight.

However, this clearly wasn’t very important among the things Shaye wanted to discuss. Shaye quickly shook her head, "As for the woman’s goal, it seems it wasn’t , but rather the blood of the Evil God that Wozworth recently gave us. Of course, she wouldn’t get it that easily."

With a wave of her hand, Shaye conjured a glass bottle into her palm, filled with a rich crimson liquid to the brim.

As she spoke, Shaye handed the bottle of Evil God’s Blood to Qin Chu, "Drink it!"
