Initially, seeing Qin Chu appear, Nicholas felt he had seen hope for survival, his eyes filled with ecstatic joy, loudly calling for Qin Chu to save him.
But gradually, the hope and the smile on Nicholas’s face stiffened.
The hero just stood quietly behind, watching his own torture, unmoved, even smiling.
Why?
"Save ..." Nicholas wailed.
He could feel his life force becoming weaker and weaker, the intense pain unbearable: "You’re a hero, you’re supposed to save ..."
His voice also grew weaker and weaker.
"Just because I’m a hero, am I supposed to save you?" Qin Chu spread his hands, asking sowhat helplessly.
Nicholas was stunned. Wasn’t Qin Chu, as a hero, burdened with the responsibility to save everyone on the Sky Do Continent? And wasn’t he a citizen of the Sky Do Continent, so shouldn’t his salvation by the hero be a matter of course?
This was sothing he had to do.
"Hey, Nicholas, let ask you..." Qin Chu’s mouth still curved in a smile, but his voice was icy and piercing: "How does it feel to impale soone’s body with a long spear, to skewer them on the spearhead and watch them struggle?"
Nicholas, in agony, didn’t understand why the hero was asking him this question at this ti. He seed to have asked sothing similar before.
He liked to use the long spear in his hands to penetrate his targets’ bodies and hang them aloft on the spearhead, watching them struggle like worms, giving Nicholas a weird sense of excitent.
He knew this predilection wasn’t good, but it was his own business and had nothing to do with the hero.
"Save ..."
Nicholas just wanted to survive.
Qin Chu let out a sigh and said no more. Nicholas completely despaired, the hero had clearly appeared but only watched coldly, showing no inclination to save him.
Hope turned into despair, and Nicholas couldn’t hold back any longer. He mustered his last strength, howling at Qin Chu like a mad, rabid dog: "Bastard, what kind of hero are you..."
"Seeing soone dying before you and you don’t save them, Qin Chu, you have no right to be a hero..."
Spurt...
It seed vis inside the church couldn’t bear Nicholas’s howls any longer. Her hair suddenly tightened, and with Nicholas’s muffled grunt, a mass of innards burst from his mouth.
His eyes suddenly bulged, then his head slumped, motionless.
Right after killing Nicholas, the entwined hair withdrew from his body, seemingly losing interest in the corpse. The hair spread out on the ground in a vast expanse of icy white.
The hair writhed on the floor like venomous snakes. The next mont, the dense hair rolled rapidly on the ground, rushing straight toward Qin Chu.
The creepy scene was sothing even Helois and Iyeta, the two demon girls, had never seen before.
Silf’s brow furrowed even more, and she moved to stand in front of Qin Chu.
She wasn’t worried about Qin Chu. Rather, her own survival was entirely dependent on him. If Qin Chu were to die, her end would follow, which was sothing Silf did not want to see.
But before Silf could move, Qin Chu spoke in a deep voice, uttering a chilling single word: "Light!"
I say light, and there is light!
At that mont, Qin Chu transford into the embodint of light.
The darkness vanished suddenly; soft white light occupied everything in sight.
The hair rapidly wriggling toward Qin Chu on the floor, as if eting its nesis, let out a sharp cry and swiftly retracted.
The walls of the old Earth Mother Goddess Sect church were pierced with a large hole, allowing light to burst forth within the church.
Countless naked bodies writhed intensely under the light’s radiance. The holy light corroded them severely. One by one, their skin began to emit thick plus of smoke, and what were once ecstatic shrills now turned into painful wails.
The holy power was purifying the filth within the bodies and souls of the Witch Association mbers.
The feeling was clearly agonizing.
In the hall, vis was struggling with all her might.
The light, like countless steel needles, pierced through her skin, subjecting vis to excruciating pain.
However, vis’s rank was clearly several levels higher than those ordinary believers beside her. Even with piercing pain all over, vis continued to endure.
Her hair beca even more disheveled, her body convulsing.
Her azure eyes were filled with intersecting blood vessels, her gaze fixed on Qin Chu, brimming with undissolvable hatred: "It’s you..."
"It’s you who have already killed one of my sons."
She deeply loved her son, even though he was taken away from her by Wozworth only a few days after his birth.
Perhaps it was this act of plunder that made vis cherish her son all the more.
Watching the magic image of her son, seeing him grow little by little, uncontrollable smiles would appear on her face, sweeping away the pain, loneliness, and repression from her heart. Those were her happiest monts.
But now, her son had been killed by the damned hero.
And now, this hero had the audacity to appear before her again.
"Do you intend to take my second child as well?"
No.
She is the Divine Mother, and the child in her womb will beco the Sky Do Continent’s one and only supre god.
She will not allow this damned fool to harm her child.
With a piercing scream, vis endured the sting of the holy light, full of hatred as she walked toward Qin Chu, completely unaware that her belly had swollen to the size of a bull.
That appearance was even more exaggerated than Angela’s ever was.
Glancing at the countless corpses on the bloody altar, Qin Chu’s throat involuntarily twitched. How much sustenance had this woman absorbed?
Her belly had swelled to the point of near-translucence.
Qin Chu could even clearly see the fluids within her stomach, and the crisscrossing blood vessels and blue veins within the fluid.
A round, childlike face was imprinted on the belly, visibly distorted. The body within vis’s womb writhed violently, struggling as if to break free from all the restraints it faced.
With each step he took closer, Qin Chu could almost feel the fishy stench of evil that hit him in the face.
His fingers trembled rapidly, and the light around him suddenly gathered, coalescing into a huge Light Saber.
vis seed to sense the danger and opened her mouth wide:
"Die!"
Iyeta’s expression changed, and she swiftly blocked the front, spreading her arms out as a semi-transparent shield instantly sprang up before her.
Bang...
The next instant, Iyeta’s body slightly trembled, her face turning a sudden shade of pale as she stepped backward.
Iyeta was not weak, but to block vis’s attack was clearly a formidable challenge. The invisible impact even contained astonishing power of Ice, frosting over her legs.
However, Iyeta’s reaction bought Qin Chu a precious few seconds – and that one second was enough.
Vast amounts of Holy Light converged together, like a divine sword that spanned the night sky, descending upon vis’s head from above.
The old church was ripped apart in an instant.
Walls collapsed with a thunderous crash, and the violent impact caused the ground to crack open in large fissures. The hundreds of figures inside the church were directly crushed into debris.
vis’s right hand suddenly reached out, nails sharp and long, grasping towards the giant Light Saber, with threads of dark red winding at the tips of her nails.
At the mont the Light Saber touched vis’s right hand, it exploded with a roar, transforming into a huge ball of light that enveloped both vis and the Divine Embryo inside her.
The bright light was blinding, to the point Helois, Iyeta, and Silf couldn’t keep their eyes open.
Only Qin Chu, enduring the light sharp as a sword, squinted stubbornly at what was before him.
The light ca quickly and faded just as fast.
When the light dissipated, the sudden darkness made it even difficult for Qin Chu to adjust.
Large amounts of ash, like feathers, fluttered down from the sky.
vis had vanished without a trace; on the ground, all that was left was a clump of long hair, while the old church itself had been shattered to pieces, not even a bit of debris left behind.
Had vis and the Divine Embryo in her womb been dealt with?
It seed to be the case, but Qin Chu’s brow furrowed tightly.
Things had gone too smoothly.
So smoothly that Qin Chu found it hard to believe.
Just then, the ground beneath Qin Chu’s feet suddenly split open, and a tuft of ice-blue hair wriggled out from the cracks, rapidly entwining around his legs.
On reflex, Qin Chu looked down, and he could even glimpse vis’s face with its grimacing smile through the crack in the ground.
In that instant, chill ran down Qin Chu’s spine.
Before Qin Chu could react, Silf flicked her finger and a Wind Blade whooshed by, slicing off the hair entangled around Qin Chu’s calves with a hiss.
The strands of hair snapped with a sound like breaking steel wires.
The next second, Silf grabbed Qin Chu by the shoulders and whisked him away gracefully.
anwhile, Helois spread her hands wide, and dense clusters of ice cones rained down towards the ground in her wake, as she too retreated swiftly.
This opponent, vis, was unlike any they had faced before, laced with weirdness everywhere.
Having just steadied himself, Qin Chu pushed Silf away with force.
With a hiss, several sharp nails erged from where Silf had just been standing, ripping through the air.
vis’s attacks were so weird, so incredibly fast.
Above, below, in front, behind, she could appear from any direction and launch the most lethal strikes.
Right after pushing Silf away, before Qin Chu could even catch his breath, he heard a hiss, and five sharp nails had already pierced through his chest from behind.
His heart was gripped in the palm of vis’s hand.
A weird smile spread across the woman’s face...
But the smile didn’t last long before it froze on her visage.
Spurt...
vis heard a weird noise in her ears.
She looked down incredulously, just to see a dark red Long Spear, seemingly wrapped in flas, that had pierced through her lower abdon without notice...
Along with the Divine Embryo within her.
The expression on her face changed from pain to shock, then to despair...
"Aaaahhhhhhhh..."
The wailing of the Divine Embryo and vis’s scream rged together, forming a weirdly extre symphony that tore through the night sky!
