Listening to Aili weeping inconsolably, Rose Vesper felt a buzz in her head, and everything turned pale in an instant.

Her body even shook violently, nearly causing her to fall.

What did Aili say?

Sylph... dead, dead?

How... how is this possible?

With Sylph’s strength being so formidable, how could she die so easily?

She couldn’t believe it and was unwilling to accept the news Aili brought.

Yet, in a short ti, Aili’s tears had soaked her chest, and behind her, Aileen’s face was also full of sorrow, forcing Rose Vesper to accept the fact that Sylph was indeed dead.

Could it be that Sylph really was dead?

Rose Vesper’s lips trembled, her complexion pale.

She was not sad about Sylph’s death; after all, in her dark history notebook, she had even arranged dozens of different ways for Sylph to die, each more vicious than the last.

Rose Vesper was furious. Sylph’s death could impact her plan to resurrect Lord Jie Luo, and that was what she found most intolerable.

"Damn it... what exactly happened?" Rose Vesper didn’t even notice that she could no longer maintain the decorum of the Holy Daughter.

"Wuwuwu, it was... it was a trap."

"Brother Ronald, in the territory of the demons, was brutally tortured and had already died, his body even devoured by wild beasts, wuwu..."

Aili finally lifted her head from Rose Vesper’s embrace, wiping her swollen, tearful eyes and said, "Luo ng, that guy, I don’t know when he beca smarter. He deliberately concealed the news of Brother Ronald’s death just to lure us into a trap."

"We went to the dungeon in Luo ng’s territory, which was occupied by many elite demons."

"The cages were empty, and only after interrogating a patrolling Pig Head Man did we find out the truth..."

Another thunderbolt from the blue.

Rose Vesper’s lips were totally colorless. She didn’t even have the energy to be angry or furious anymore.

Sylph was dead; Ronald was dead too.

Four mbers of the Hero Team had already perished.

Her small hand clenched tightly, facing the increasingly powerful Qin Chu, could the remaining six really achieve the task of assassinating Qin Chu?

Currently, only Catherine had gained Qin Chu’s trust.

Asina had gained a little as well.

Beyond that, the relationships of the others with Qin Chu were extrely delicate.

Entrusting the task of assassinating Qin Chu entirely to Catherine and Asina didn’t feel promising; Rose Vesper felt that the hope before her was becoming more and more remote, and she didn’t know how much longer she could hold on.

"Did you... see Sylph die with your own eyes?" Rose Vesper asked, her lips trembling, her voice weak.

Aili shook her head: "No!"

"When we left, everything seed fine, but then sohow, Sylph’s whereabouts were suddenly exposed and the demons noticed her."

"Luo ng, and a large number of elite demons surrounded us, and my sister and I saw no other option but to run; when we escaped, Sylph was already surrounded by Luo ng."

"That guy is so cruel, Sylph must have been killed by him..."

"I’m sorry to disappoint you, but I’m not dead..."

Just then a familiar voice suddenly ca from outside the tent.

The tent flap was lifted, and there stood Sylph.

Though Aileen and Aili had escaped earlier, they lost their way in the thick fog during the return journey, and since they could only return on foot, compared to Qin Chu and Sylph who could use magic to fly over directly, their return was much slower.

Aileen and Aili had just returned, and in a short ti, Qin Chu and Sylph already appeared at the camp.

Seeing Sylph appear suddenly, Aileen and Aili widened their eyes incredulously, as if shocked that Sylph was still alive.

Why?

Why still alive?

Why not die cleanly at the hands of the demons instead of shalessly hanging on?

Did this damned bitch really want to take away her beloved Brother Jie Luo that badly?

Bitter resentnt tumbled through Aili’s small heart.

The sisters looked at each other, each reading the shock in the other’s eyes, along with a slight suppression and fear.

But Rose Vesper was initially surprised, then quickly overjoyed.

Although Ronald had died, and Sylph was considered a romantic rival, she couldn’t care about that now; with one more person alive, there was slightly more hope of resurrecting Lord Jie Luo.

However, what was Sylph wearing? Why had she changed into a maid costu?

Aili reacted quickly, her face turning from shock to joy as she cheered and rushed over to grab Sylph’s hand, shaking it excitedly: "Sylph, I’m so glad you’re okay!"

"Do you know how much my sister and I regretted leaving you after we left? We should have stayed and fought those demons with you,"

Aili’s face was full of remorse, seemingly haunted by the fact that she and her sister had abandoned Sylph and escaped.

Sylph’s lips curled into a mocking smile. She glanced at the seemingly petite, adorable, tearful, pitiable Aili. Such an expression might be deadly for ordinary n, but to Sylph, it ant nothing: "It’s okay, I know you must feel very regretful."
