Silf was running.
Luo ng was chasing!
Luo ng intended to pursue her to the boundaries of his territory, giving him an excuse to fear a human ambush and order a retreat.
But, this was no easy task, his territory was just too vast.
The worst part was, scattered across this huge territory, there were demons everywhere, who upon seeing Silf, imdiately roared and joined the hunting party.
Silf was forced to change direction several tis, her fighting energy and magic power were being consud at an extrely fast rate.
As a Ghost Shooter, Silf had a strong burst ability, but she shared a lethal weakness with Aileen and Aili: poor stamina, unable to sustain prolonged combat like Catherine, Benson, and Karsas.
How long had she been fleeing, ten hours? Twenty hours?
Silf didn’t know.
The depletion of fighting energy and magic power was gradually slowing Silf’s escape.
She could feel her chances of survival growing dimr.
Her long legs were becoming weary, a heaviness was sweeping over her body, her breath turning into short gasps, her usually pale cheeks becoming bright red.
Golden strands of hair stuck to her face with sweat, droplets falling into her eyes and burning fiercely.
The thoughts that involuntarily surfaced in her mind were the words she had heard from the Pig Head Man:
"Locked in a cage, for all demons to gawk at."
"Entertaining thousands of robust demons..."
"For a fee, one could get intimate with a forr mber of the Hero Team."
"Always pleading desperately..."
Each ti she recalled these words, she couldn’t help but imagine Ronald being tortured, making her body uncontrollably tremble.
That chilling fear was sothing Silf had never felt before.
She knew, if she fell into the hands of demons, her fate would be even more tragic than Ronald’s.
Even in death, she absolutely did not want to beco a plaything for the demons.
And who knew how much ti had passed when another patrol of demons in the territory noticed Silf in the sky and imdiately spread their wings, swooping towards her.
In that mont, Silf finally made a decision.
Her body suddenly stood still, motionless.
A sharp short sword materialized in the palm of her hand, her eyes flickering with a hint of hesitation.
This scene left Luo ng dumbfounded, what exactly did this woman intend to do?
Could it be she still wanted to fight to the death?
Please, not that.
With his subordinates all being brainless demons, Luo ng dared not assure that once a real conflict broke out, he could restrain them. Just in case he accidentally killed her, he would have no way to answer to Horus.
More importantly, Luo ng couldn’t even open his mouth... Once he spoke, his dealings with humans would be completely exposed, sothing Luo ng must avoid at all costs.
The next second.
Silf no longer hesitated, the short sword in her hand aid directly at her own heart and she plunged it in.
Shit!
That scene made Luo ng’s eyes widen instantaneously.
He had never imagined such a scenario would occur.
For a mont, Luo ng’s muscular body stood frozen, his brain unable to figure out what exactly to do in this critical situation.
Normally, Silf would never be so impulsive.
But, Ronald’s fate had been too terrifying.
Silf was determined not to end up as a plaything for human nobles, a slave, and so under the influence of a powerful will, she had suddenly awakened and slaughtered the entire family of slave rchants.
Now, to let herself beco a toy for demons, that was absolutely impossible.
Watching the sharp blade that had already pierced through the skin at her chest, even a hint of crimson blood had started to seep through the leather armor.
Just then, a dark red chain suddenly flew out from the distance.
With a snap, it hit Silf’s wrist.
A pain in her fingers, and the short sword was directly knocked out.
The blade tore through the skin on her chest, leaving a long wound.
Silf’s complexion instantly turned pale, not from the pain, but from the despair over her fate.
Not even allowed to commit suicide, could it be these demons were hell-bent on capturing her alive?
That pale face gradually beca frantic, eyes filled with murderous intent.
Don’t underestimate a Ghost Shooter.
If they intended to capture her alive, these filthy demons should be ready to face the consequences.
The remnants of strength in her body gathered, waves of ripples began to spread.
Just then, the chain that had knocked away Silf’s short sword appeared again, swiftly coiling around her slender waist.
Silf was just about to resist when suddenly a voice ca to her ears:
"Relax."
"Do not resist."
The familiar voice made Silf’s legs go weak, nearly making her fall from the branch.
Her chest filled with a burning heat, as if she saw hope again.
Was that... Qin Chu’s voice?
How could Qin Chu be here?
Silf’s mind was full of questions, but she obediently allowed the dark red chain to wrap around her waist. The next second, with a whoosh, the chain swiftly retracted, pulling Silf’s body and flying into the
