Three silhouettes, like ghosts, flitted through the forest.
Whether it was Aili and Aileen, the Twin Thieves, or Silf, the Magic Archer, all possessed astonishing speed, moving like a gust of wind toward the front.
Aili had cast Concealnt on Silf, making the trio invisible as they walked over Luo ng’s territory. Even if demons brushed past, they would not detect the three.
Just as the intelligence Silf had brought suggested, there were no guards patrolling near the towering palace, but the dungeons were swarming with demons.
They knew they didn’t have much ti left.
Human traces left in the Demon Territory would eventually be discovered, no matter how well hidden. They had to find Lord Jie Luo’s Soul Fragnt and Ronald within this limited ti.
The three held their breath.
Their heartbeats were suppressed to the lowest point.
Their footsteps made absolutely no sound.
Many species of demons had extrely sharp senses of sll, hearing, or sight, so they dared not take even slight risks. Even those bold and skilled saw no chance to act up here, only managing to quietly hide as a demon approached face-on.
Silently nearing the dungeon, the unique, nauseating stench of demons rolled continuously, causing the three girls to feel waves of nausea. Looking around, just outside the dungeon alone were thousands of robust demons, just as Silf had said, as if fearing others might not know that an important person was imprisoned here.
In another area, Luo ng sat proudly on his throne, waiting gleefully for the mbers of the Hero Team to enter the palace.
It was, one could say, a classic case of tragic irony; one side thought too much, the other too little...
The trio waited outside the dungeon anxiously and patiently. Finally, taking advantage of a change of guards, they smoothly infiltrated the interior of the dungeon.
The stench grew even stronger, which was particularly unbearable for the three beautiful girls, especially for Silf, who had a clean-freak nature. Her complexion had turned pale, a look that threatened to vomit at any mont.
The sanitary conditions among demons were already poor, but in the dungeon, it was worse; prisoners handled all their daily needs in there, sothing the demons might have gotten used to.
But for humans who suddenly entered, this place was nothing short of hell.
A wide corridor stretched hundreds of ters to the end, with cages forged from tal on both sides.
The wall above their heads was carved with a bas-relief of the Demon King, his massive body draped in a scarlet cape, his right hand supporting his head as he sat on a throne, with a scarlet battle axe beside him — the weapon of the Demon King.
This seed to remind the prisoners who had erred that even within their cages, they must always gaze upon the majesty of the Demon King.
Compared to the thousands of guards outside, the inside of the dungeon was much emptier with only a few guards. The cages imprisoned so demons that had offended Luo ng, occasionally emitting roars.
From a human perspective, these cages were already massive, but for so demons, they were still a bit too small. They could only coil their bodies tightly to barely fit inside the cell. A slight movent would cause the arm-thick tal chains piercing through their limbs to clatter loudly.
This made the three won frown, and they vaguely felt that their speculation might have been wrong.
They couldn’t help but speed up, walking all the way to the end of the dungeon.
There was nothing, Ronald was nowhere to be seen.
"What’s going on, could there be hidden cells?" Aili’s eyes turned towards Silf as she softly questioned.
Silf just shook her head slightly.
"No magic power fluctuations, no Magic Prohibition, no hidden cells. There’s nothing here..." Silf’s gaze was stern, and she glanced at Aili, "We’ve been fooled."
The implication was clear: Aili and Aileen had made the wrong judgnt; they had underestimated the demons.
Aili and Aileen struggled to accept this outco, their faces clearly showing signs of irritation. Even though the error was their own, they felt enraged as if they’d been tricked by the demons.
At that mont, several dozen Pig Head Man guards, arranged in a ragged line, were approaching from ahead.
The Twin Thieves shared an understanding without needing a glance; they moved instantly.
Their figures suddenly turned into two phantoms.
Accompanied by a hissing sound, thin, cicada-wing-like blades whooshed from Aileen’s hands, slicing through the air and embedding accurately into the foreheads of every demon caged in the dungeon.
Within monts, the hundreds of imprisoned demons in the entire dungeon were dead.
The sharp blades had penetrated their brains.
On the other side, Aili’s figure moved like a swiftly twisting snake, darting through the dozens of demon guards.
The group of Pig Head n only felt a breeze coming toward them, and the next mont, their necks seed to be entangled by sothing extrely sharp.
Aili’s figure appeared, and her small hands seed like puppeteers, her fingers twined with strands of hair-thin tal wire.
This tal wire was specially forged by Aili, extrely flexible.
