"Angelica..."

Angelica, who had been standing quietly beside Qin Chu, imdiately responded upon hearing the words, "Angelica is here, Master. What are your orders?"

"I heard that you’re quite a good cook..." Qin Chu’s face was filled with a smile as he produced ten one-hundred-mana bills in his hand, handing them to Angelica, "could I try your cooking?"

Angelica’s eyes suddenly brightened.

She was skilled in cooking, and although she had always wanted to cook for Qin Chu herself, she worried that it might not suit her master’s taste, so she had been purchasing food from outside these past days.

Now, hearing her master say this, her heart was filled with both surprise and apprehension.

"Master, I’m afraid that the food I make might not suit your taste..." Angelica murmured softly, nervously fidgeting with the hem of her clothes.

"Haha, that’s alright, the food made by Angelica’s own hands is sothing I think will be very delicious," Qin Chu said with a beaming smile.

Overjoyed, Angelica’s smile blossod as she took the money Qin Chu handed over, "Then I’ll go buy ingredients now. Roblensa Market is quite far away. I might return by evening..."

"Why bother going there? Just buy from sowhere nearby..."

Angelica’s little head shook vehently like a bobblehead, "That won’t do, it has to be for the master, so naturally only the best will suffice."

The vegetables and at of Roblensa Market are specially supplied to the Royal Family and Nobles, incredibly expensive, more than ten tis the price of those in the Civilian District. But likewise, the quality is also the best.

This was the first ti her master wanted to taste her cooking. No matter what, Angelica had to do her best and not leave a poor impression on her master.

After urging Qin Chu to rest well at ho, Angelica left humming a tune.

As for Qin Chu, the smile on his face gradually disappeared.

This plan served two purposes; on one hand, it was a test of Angelica’s loyalty, and on the other, it would break the shackles binding Angelica, enabling her to be more than just a maid, but a powerful combat force at his side as well.

This was the final test for Angelica. If she could pass it smoothly, then Qin Chu could truly trust this woman.

...

Within the room of Rose Vesper, Catherine was listening to the Holy Daughter’s plan, her brow tightly furrowed into a knot.

The mbers of the Hero Team would not accept any new heroes.

Rose Vesper was very aware that it was not just herself; the six female mbers of the team in front of her, Catherine, Asina, Silf, Aileen, Aili, all secretly had feelings for Lord Jie Luo.

Their feelings were not at all inferior to her own.

Not to ntion the six female mbers, even Swordsman Ronald, a male and a noble, harbored special feelings for Lord Jie Luo.

It couldn’t be helped, Lord Jie Luo was simply that irresistibly charming.

It was a charm that could make both the opposite sex and the sa sex fall head over heels at first sight.

Lord Jie Luo seed to perfectly fit the ideal image in everyone’s mind.

The remaining three, Unmoving Shield Guard Benson, Mad Demon Frenzy Battle Muse, and Death Knight Karthas, also treated Lord Jie Luo as their most important friend, comrade, and partner. The sentint was deeper than the closest kin, more important than parents, siblings, or any family mber.

It was for this reason that when Rose Vesper inford the other nine companions through a ssage, hoping to use the blood of the Second Generation Brave Warrior, Qin Chu, to resurrect Lord Jie Luo, not a single one refused.

In fact, there wasn’t even a mont’s hesitation.

But Rose Vesper was not confident about her plan. After all, it was sothing she had co up with impulsively.

After explaining her plan, Rose Vesper looked at Catherine with so trepidation, uncertain of what sort of judgnt Catherine would render.

After a long while, Catherine sighed leisurely, "Rose Vesper, these past days, you have suffered..."

Rose Vesper appeared sowhat confused, not understanding why Catherine would respond this way.

"If it hadn’t been for enduring too much recently, you would never have devised such a crude plan," continued Catherine.

"You only think that by luring away or killing the guards protecting Qin Chu, we could smoothly kidnap him..."

"But have you considered that Qin Chu is a Hero, watched by so many eyes? Besides Augustus, Wozworth, Saint Monica, who doesn’t want to pull Qin Chu into their camp?"

"The palace where Qin Chu resides appears to be protected by just a few hundred guards, but do you know how many unseen watchers there are, and whether they would simply watch us abduct Qin Chu?"

Rose Vesper fell silent.

She was no fool; she should have thought of these things—in fact, she surely would have.

But now, with her spirit severely fluctuating, her thoughts on many matters weren’t as ticulous.

"Unless we were to commit a massacre there, but in doing so, we would fully expose ourselves. Even if Augustus would shelter you, what about Wozworth and Saint Monica? Do you have the ability to face their assault?"

"How many experts are there in the Royal Family, how many strong ones are there in the Earth Mother Goddess Sect? Such Power, even the Holy Court couldn’t withstand it," said Catherine.

Catherine’s words turned Rose Vesper’s pretty face pale; she had fixated on hatred without considering the severe consequences.

"Also, to resurrect Lord Jie Luo, we not only need Qin Chu’s fresh blood and various precious materials but also the soul of Lord Jie Luo. Have you gathered it? Do you know where his soul is scattered, can you estimate how long it will take to gather all the Soul Fragnts of Lord Jie Luo?"

"It could take years, decades, maybe even longer. During this ti, without a Hero, how will we confront the Demons, have you considered how many will die?"

How many would die—she didn’t care at all, as long as Qin Chu could be killed.

Rose Vesper bit her lip silently, making no sound.

"The most critical issue, Lord Jie Luo was killed by the Eternal Monarch Nag. Even if we could imdiately resurrect Lord Jie Luo and we had a Hero afterward, Wozworth and Saint Monica wouldn’t say anything. After all, they only need a Hero to fight the Demons—it doesn’t matter who that Hero is. They have no right to interfere in front of Jie Luo..."

"But after Jie Luo is resurrected, do you plan to let him die at Nag’s hands again?"

"Jie Luo is no match for Nag, we are all clear on that," said Catherine.

Rose Vesper’s face grew even paler, and she couldn’t help but tremble slightly.

"I haven’t t Qin Chu yet, so I don’t know what kind of person he is, but he has taken the title and glory of Hero that belonged to Lord Jie Luo, and this makes angry. There can only be one Hero, definitely not him."

"But even you must admit, with two Super Order Powers, Qin Chu has a talent that surpasses Lord Jie Luo."

Rose Vesper wanted to object, but she found no words to begin.

What Catherine said was true; although Qin Chu was weak now, his potential for the future was greater than Jie Luo’s.

"I’m not against your wish to kill Qin Chu and resurrect Lord Jie Luo, after all... I also miss him a lot..." Catherine’s pretty face flushed with a hint of red.

"However, perhaps we could consider a different approach."

"Since we still need ti to collect the soul of Lord Jie Luo, why not let Qin Chu live a little longer? Let’s use Qin Chu to eradicate the Demons, especially the Eternal Monarch Nag..."

"When the overall situation is settled, we can then kill Qin Chu, resurrect Jie Luo. That way, Jie Luo won’t need to face the Demon King or bear any risks anymore. Wouldn’t that be better?" Catherine said with a gentle smile.

Rose Vesper’s eyes grew bright, but soon she thought of a problem.

"But if we wait until Qin Chu grows strong enough to kill Nag, will we still be able to kill Qin Chu?" This was Rose Vesper’s biggest concern.

"Rose Vesper, you must understand that no matter how powerful a person is, they can’t dodge a blade stabbing from behind!"
