"This must be considered an unexpected windfall."
Qin Chu glanced at his current attributes, Level 80, attributes doubled, all attribute values had skyrocketed to an exaggerated extent.
Level 80 was a milestone.
After crossing this threshold, now Qin Chu had the qualifications to fight with people like Saint Monica and Augustus even without activating Anger Burst.
Until both demons were drained dry by Qin Chu, Qin Chu still felt sothing was odd, wondering if this was akin to pie falling from the sky.
If it weren’t for the Little Tree Seedling eating experience inside his body, his level might have been even more exaggerated.
Inside Qin Chu’s body, the Little Tree Seedling gently shook its leaves, and the third leaf had already sprouted.
Just as Qin Chu had guessed, the Little Tree Seedling was indeed continually eating away at the experience... But this little guy, only complained about one thing to Qin Chu, quite dissatisfied.
"It’s not just stealing experience; the others are doing it too, and you just don’t see it, do you?"
The Little Tree Seedling felt aggrieved.
Helois was also shocked by Qin Chu’s special and weird ability.
Previously, due to Qin Chu’s easygoing nature, Helois had forgotten that he was a powerful Hero; only now did she finally realize, if it wasn’t for her pretty face and voluptuous figure, her fate might not have been much different from that of the two demons and Bill Bom.
"What kind of weird ability is this?"
"To directly devour a demon’s strength and transform it into his own?"
Helois could feel that Qin Chu had just gained a significant increase in strength.
Of course, what Helois didn’t know was that Qin Chu’s ability wasn’t limited to devouring demons; humans were the sa... even Gods, he’d swallow them for you to see!
With this unexpected gain, Qin Chu was very satisfied; he stretched vigorously, then headed toward the distant temple.
Helois bit her lip and hurriedly followed behind, now she was Qin Chu’s servant.
If initially, it was because Qin Chu had put on the ring that she had to obey Qin Chu’s orders, later because of Qin Chu’s easygoing nature, staying by his side felt more comfortable than staying by the Prince’s side.
Now, it was due to Qin Chu’s power that she was even more submissive.
Diaberlic had no idea what kind of opponent he had provoked this ti... although it seed like Qin Chu had actively gone to provoke him.
"Be careful..."
Shaye appeared once again behind Qin Chu, Helois had always been very curious about this woman who appeared and disappeared out of nowhere, but staying by Diaberlic’s side, at least Helois had learned one thing: don’t ask about things you shouldn’t.
Shaye’s gaze was fixed on the distant temple: "I can sense the aura of the Fiery Fla Witch inside."
"The Divine Authority should also be in there."
Qin Chu silently nodded.
The Fiery Fla Witch was extrely dangerous, capable of destroying an entire mountain range, a force not to be underestimated.
Especially now that the Fiery Fla Witch was in a frenzied state, there was absolutely no possibility of communication.
Before long, several figures had already arrived in front of the temple.
It was a towering temple, which once had its own glory, but now it was as dilapidated as the Storm Temple.
The grand doors of the temple had collapsed.
On the walls, one could still see the marks of battles that lingered for a thousand years.
The ground was covered with a thick layer of sothing, the ash left after flas had burned, soft enough to leave deep footprints when stepped upon.
The massive church, hundreds of ters high, seed extraordinarily spacious.
Qin Chu’s body emitted Holy Light, dispelling the gloom inside the church, which had a few wooden doors on both sides and at the far end that Qin Chu did not doubt would crumble like quicksand if he rely touched them.
Rows of chairs even occupied the middle of the church.
It seed like a place for believers to sit during gatherings.
As it was now, each chair was occupied by a believer... albeit each was ford from solidified magma.
That numb, vacant expression on their faces was chilling enough to send a shudder of dread through anyone. Even Helois, a demon, felt a tinge of fear in this bizarre environnt, subconsciously pinching Qin Chu’s sleeve with her two fingers, leaning closer to him. Qin Chu glanced at Helois and thought that this beautiful monster girl apparently did not realize the significant impact this small gesture might have on a man.
Perhaps, this was the residing presence trying to revive the once glorious days of the Fla Temple.
Qin Chu did not disturb these quiet believers; his gaze shifted to the surroundings, where he could still make out emblems and carvings representing the Fire God on the decayed walls.
At the end of the main hall of the church, there stood a table in a style matching the reliefs and emblems.
Qin Chu did not search here, not wanting to break the silence of this world.
Although she had gone mad, this scene in front of him must be a very precious mory for her.
Besides, it was destined that nothing valuable would be found here.
Continuing forward to the end of the hall, a solid pair of stone doors appeared.
These clearly weren’t part of the original church structure.
On the stone doors, one could even see traces of flowing magma... very heavy, but that was nothing for Qin Chu now, soon the grinding noise echoed inside the church.
Dust began to appear before Qin Chu’s eyes, seemingly stirred up by the friction of the stone doors, causing the shapes in front of him to blur temporarily.
Woo!
A gust of wind bearing a wave of heat.
Ash wildly flew through the air.
The temperature around soared rapidly.
Ash fluttered into Qin Chu’s nostrils, making him sneeze.
His vision was obscured by the spreading ash, fortunately, this condition did not last long, and the intense hot wind gradually slowed, the ash in the sky also gradually fell.
Looking inside again, there was a corridor.
The floor seed to be made of scorched stone plates, and on either side of the corridor stood towering pillars of crimson, topped with massive torches that no longer bore flas.
The colossal pillars also bore marks of swords and axes, and several had even collapsed.
The corridor was even longer than Qin Chu had anticipated, stretching at least a hundred ters before finally revealing a different structure.
It was a high tower, its number of steps unknown.
Atop the tower was an altar, seemingly the original site for worshipping the Fire God, where one could still see a burning fla.
The style was the sa as before, grand and vast.
Phew...
Qin Chu took a long breath.
After a brief hesitation, Qin Chu began to ascend the steps.
He didn’t fly up directly.
Step by step.
It was a sowhat lengthy ti before Qin Chu finally reached the top of the tower.
A smile was on his face, he slightly bowed, his body shimring with a dim Holy Light:
"Greetings, Holy Daughter of the Fla Temple from a thousand years ago..."
Right in front of Qin Chu, on the altar, was indeed a graceful silhouette ford by a stretched fla.
In the violently flickering flas, one seed able to glimpse a pair of crimson eyes.
The flas above her head appeared to be her long hair.
Right behind the silhouette, was precisely the Divine Authority that Diaberlic nearly took away before.
This was the Fla Temple, the temple that worshipped the Fire God a thousand years ago, thus the identity of the Fiery Fla Witch was essentially as clear as Violet’s—like her, the Fiery Fla Witch was also a Holy Daughter from a thousand years ago.
The Fiery Fla Witch did not respond, but at least she didn’t seem as crazed as before, perhaps because the separation from the Divine Authority had sowhat cald her chaotic, frenzied consciousness.
This was good news for Qin Chu.
She just quietly stared at Qin Chu, seemingly sensing the Holy Light on his body.
The Fiery Fla Witch was different from Violet; Violet had completely transford into a Ghost, while the Fiery Fla Witch existed as a Fire Spirit... another special kind of spirit body, and she wasn’t afraid of the Holy Light on Qin Chu.
Contrastingly, the gentle light even made her feel comfortable.
Her volatile heart seed to calm down.
It had been a long ti since she felt this way, the previously remaining violence and madness in her breast seemingly gradually becoming mild.
The fla’s elongated silhouette slowly approached Qin Chu.
Antia frowned slightly, wanting to stop her, but Qin Chu shook his head, signaling Antia not to worry and just to keep Helois and her at a distance for now.
He could feel that the Fiery Fla Witch was very weak at the mont.
Previously, the direct destruction of a mountain had nearly exhausted the Fiery Fla Witch’s power; at this mont, she had no ability to harm him.
Whoosh!
Another wave of heat surged towards him.
In an instant, the Fiery Fla Witch pounced on Qin Chu, and the flas dispersed like a phantom.
At the sa ti, a robust voice echoed in Qin Chu’s ear:
They are coming!
They, who are they?
Are they beings from the Void?
In an instant, Qin Chu felt his consciousness in a very peculiar state.
Scene by scene, images began to play in his mind.
Figures with unclear faces, only vague outlines visible, were arguing intensely under the starry sky.
In his mind, the robust voice sounded again.
"They are coming... they bring destruction."
"It’s a bloodshed that will destroy everything, an evil that drives n mad."
"The noisy whispers, that’s their declaration of war,"
"They will plunge our world into eternal darkness."
"To resist or to flee? The will of the Gods diverges here, is it resistance, or a disgraceful flight?"
Phew...
Hearing this, Qin Chu understood; this was the oracle transmitted by the Fire God when he handed the Divine Authority to the Fiery Fla Witch.
Then, the style of the oracle suddenly changed:
"Damn, this way of speaking is really awful, although the Water God says it’s more elegant, it doesn’t fit my personality..."
"My successor, just listen well, dreadful monsters have already eroded this world from the Void."
"The gods are split into two factions, one advocates fighting, to kill those damn Evil Gods; one advocates fleeing, the power of those eight Evil Gods is too strong..."
"While the sides were ceaselessly arguing, that babbling woman stood up, she said she had peered into fate, fleeing would not bring hope."
"That person, is just a God Stick, I have never believed her..."
Qin Chu was utterly exasperated.
Hold on, you are the mighty Fire God, and you’re calling another goddess a God Stick, is that really appropriate?
Wait, eight Evil Gods?
In the Void, aren’t there only seven?
The eighth Evil God, who is that?
