The silence was as dead as death itself.

Violet had long harbored dissatisfaction with what was now called the Hero Team.

The new mbers, Angelica and Antasia, although lacking in strength, were wholeheartedly devoted to Qin Chu.

Nadia and Norma were also not bad.

But Princess Carol, the Holy Court’s candidate Holy Daughter Sherry, and this Inas all ca with various agendas. Carol and Sherry were alright, at least they hadn’t done anything too outrageous openly.

But this Inas, every move she made, irritated Violet.

This woman made no secret of her disdain for Qin Chu, and even during battles, she never coordinated with the Hero as a team, always sticking close to Onions no matter the ti.

What qualifications did such rchandise have to be a mber of the Hero Team?

Although Qin Chu didn’t take these matters to heart, Violet couldn’t accept it. Since Qin Chu was not here now, she would teach these Hero Team mbers herself.

At the sa ti, this was also a warning to Carol and Sherry.

Violet didn’t care who you were, but since you’ve beco a mber of this team, you needed to perform as expected, not just focus on your trivial concerns.

Your status, your position, they were worthless in the face of absolute strength.

All around was silent.

After a long past, suddenly, there was a tsunami-like applause.

This applause ca from the soldiers.

This was the deanor that mbers of the Hero Team should have.

The big sister really was amazing.

Mr. Qin truly was different, not like the First Generation Brave, who, although recruiting mbers with decent strength, was arrogantly indifferent to them.

Inas’s body was trembling slightly, and her eyes were sowhat reddened.

Perhaps it was because she had never suffered such humiliation before. Onions was filled with resentnt and anger, while Inas felt intensely wronged, her tears almost falling.

But tears were useless to Violet.

Violet had experienced far too much, compared to which what Inas was going through was trivial.

"When we return to the Imperial City, I will suggest to Qin Chu to inform Saint Monica of your conduct, and strip you of your Hero Team mbership..." Violet smiled, "Feel honored, you are the second mber to be stripped of their status, the first being Karsas."

With a casual flick, she threw Inas to the ground.

Violet’s gaze swept over the other Holy n, her eyebrows slightly furrowing, "Take the weapons and armor off these people and give them to ..."

"Otherwise, I’m afraid these honorable Holy n might stir up trouble."

With Violet backing them up, the soldiers suddenly grew much bolder, rushing forward and stripping off all the Earth Mother Goddess Sect Holy n’s armor accessories—they were in dire need of these items.

Although the Holy n felt extrely humiliated, with Violet, a towering figure here, not a single one dared to speak another word.

Violet yawned lazily, seemingly reverting to her languid, mild manner again, her change in deanor so dramatic it was hard to believe she was the sharp and impressive lady just monts ago.

After settling the troubles here, Violet returned to her tent, her peripheral vision glancing at Inas...

What a pitiful bug.

Bound by heavy and hard chains.

How to deal with this woman could be left to Qin Chu to resolve, she couldn’t be bothered to think about it.

It had been a long ti since she had moved her body like this, and it felt quite pleasant, actually quite delightful.

...

Elsewhere!

Qin Chu finally extricated himself.

Ireta’s delicate body leaned against Qin Chu’s chest, so black strands of her hair scattering across his face and chest, ticklish, as she seemingly savored the mont just gone.

It was the first ti in a millennium she had experienced a feeling other than pain.

She did not dislike it, in fact, she quite liked it.

She liked her cheek against Qin Chu’s chest, listening to his heartbeat, because her own heart no longer beat.

For the entire night, several hours, she even temporarily forgot the pain that the death aura on her body brought.

The only thing that bothered her was a tear in her favorite stockings.

Qin Chu looked down at Ireta, this girl, aside from no heartbeat and no breathing, appeared almost no different from a normal girl, her skin delicate and soft.

Then Qin Chu was surprised to find a slight blush on Ireta’s cheeks.

This was the first ti he had seen a different color on Ireta’s face, her cheeks usually pale as snow, not hinting at the delicate redness that now graced them.

"Ireta, is your face red?" Qin Chu asked in surprise.

Ireta’s large, round eyes rolled at Qin Chu, "How could that be?"

"My body has long been dead, my heart no longer beats, how could it possibly... Oh?"

Ireta, who was rebutting, suddenly felt a small fluctuation in her chest.

She thought it was her illusion, a small hand gently placed over her heart, quietly sensing it. After about half a minute, she finally sensed it again.

Her heart was beating.

The heart that had been still for thousands of years was now pulsating with life once more.

Ireta couldn’t comprehend what this feeling was; she wasn’t even clear about her current emotions. Was she happy or shocked?

Was this a dream, or was it real?

For a mont, Ireta was sowhat at a loss.

Her facial expression seed very strange, catching Mr. Qin’s curiosity, "What’s wrong?"

"I, I don’t know..." Even the mature and composed Daughter of Death stamred, "My heart, it seems... it seems to have started beating again."

She couldn’t quite control herself, grabbed Mr. Qin’s hand, and placed it over her heart.

She feared that her sensations were just an illusion and hoped that soone else could confirm it for her.

Mr. Qin was more than willing to perform this arduous task.

Underneath his palm was Ireta’s delicate skin, faintly discernible, and Mr. Qin could feel a slight warmth, no longer as cold as before.

After a while, Mr. Qin took a deep breath, his face filled with a gentle smile, "Congratulations, Ireta, your heart has resud beating."

Although the frequency was very low, it was nonetheless a good sign.

"By the way, you once said that the Death Aura caused you excruciating tornt. Is that tornt still present?" Mr. Qin quickly asked.

Ireta seed to realize this too because when Mr. Qin stayed by her side, the Death Aura was suppressed by the atmosphere surrounding him, making the pain less intense than before, to the extent that Ireta had forgotten about it.

Now reminded by Mr. Qin, Ireta imdiately began to carefully sense her body’s condition. The expression on her face beca increasingly surprised and joyous.

The Death Aura had been reduced to a very weak extent.

It wasn’t suppressed, but eliminated.

Looking back, it seed that the mont when the Holy Light blossod inside her, the dense Death Aura surrounding her body vanished almost imdiately.

The Death Aura now remaining within her body was completely bearable for Ireta.

Even if she ca close to other creatures, it might affect them, but it wouldn’t directly kill them anymore.

She couldn’t describe her current feelings; her heart, tranquil for thousands of years, rippled layer upon layer.

Now she could finally walk in this world like a normal human, taste delicious food, delightful drinks, communicate and talk with others, and touch those furry little animals...

For a mont, she very much wanted to laugh.

But her smile had been lost for far too long, and she had even forgotten what it felt like; her thin lips, now slightly crimson, just trembled continuously.

All of this had been brought to her by the man before her— Mr. Qin had rescued her from that painful cage.

She didn’t know how to express the feelings in her heart, but suddenly threw herself onto Mr. Qin, pressing her thin lips firmly against his.

Ireta could only express her gratitude in this way.

She knew that as long as she continued to wield the authority of the Acting Death God, the Death Aura would accumulate on her again, and this freedom was temporary. But even so, it was enough to make her grateful.

And Ireta’s action inadvertently ignited Mr. Qin’s flas once again.

It was not until around noon that the two cald down.

This ti, Ireta felt it very clearly; when the Holy Light spread again, the Death Aura within her, already eradicated by a large margin, was further cleansed.

At this rate, perhaps after a few hundred more tis, she could be completely normal.

"Ireta, why don’t you co back to the Imperial City of Oville with ?" Seeing Ireta arranging her black dress, Mr. Qin couldn’t help but speak up.

It was better to keep a Witch he had finally t by his side.

Ireta cocked her head, a bit puzzled, "Why?"

"The Death Aura on you has already been cleared up quite a bit; even appearing in the city shouldn’t cause any problems, right?"

"Moreover, the Death Aura will continue to grow on you, it would be easier to handle if you stayed close to ," Mr. Qin searched for reasons.

This was just to help Ireta, and definitely not because he harbored any strange desires for her body.

However, faced with Mr. Qin’s invitation, Ireta shook her head, "Sorry, although I appreciate your invitation, I can’t stay in one place. People are dying every mont in this world, and I can’t let wandering souls spread across it."

Ireta slowly approached Mr. Qin and lightly kissed his face with her pink lips, "Of course, if the Death Aura accumulates to a certain extent, I will still co to seek your help."

"If you find another Soul Fragnt that needs interpretation, you can call anyti. Just call my na, and I will appear by your side in the shortest possible ti."

Seeing Ireta seed to want to leave, Mr. Qin felt a bit disappointed but did not try to retain her. Everyone had their choices, and he respected Ireta’s decision.

"Before you go, I have one more question. How much do you know about the Fiery Fla Witch?"

"The Fiery Fla Witch?" Ireta’s face seed a bit reproachful, "Having just tasted the flavor of the Daughter of Death, do you want to taste the flavor of the Fiery Fla Demon as well?"

"You wouldn’t be planning to collect all the Witches, would you?"

"But you might be disappointed. She has completely gone mad."
