The one-eyed Edrich was staring at the thing in Qin Chu’s palm.

Fear was evident in his eyes.

He didn’t know what the blood-red thread was, but instinctively, the mont he saw it, he felt a numbing sensation on his scalp and a terrifying fear crawled up his spine.

He could feel that it was sothing extrely horrifying.

Especially when he watched the thread wriggling...

"You bastard, what... what do you want to do?" Edrich shrieked sharply, his voice even cracking, which showed how terrified the Second Prince was right now.

"Nothing much, just wanted to give you a fun toy," Qin Chu said with a smile.

This thread was painstakingly extracted by Qin Chu from Silf.

He was curious to see what reaction would occur when the corruption of the Evil God happened to a demon, to see how long a demon could withstand the corruption of the Evil God.

After all, humans had been corrupted by the Evil God, but it seed such incidents had never occurred on the demons’ side.

Of course, Qin Chu was prepared.

Under the corruption of the Evil God, sanity would gradually collapse, dissipate, and eventually mutate into a complete monster. There would be a definite increase in strength, but he and Antia were more than capable of dealing with it.

He simply regarded Edrich as a pitiful experintal subject.

Yileta really misjudged him.

Qin Chu really wasn’t a good person.

He also didn’t understand why Yileta, who could see through souls, couldn’t detect the filth within his own soul.

This ti, he had no intention of saving the world; he sought only chaos and revenge, against both humans and demons.

Since the Evil God had demonstrated its power in the Imperial City, so among humans began saying that demons might be progeny of the Evil God, believers of the Evil God.

But Qin Chu scoffed at this notion. Demons had no faith; they had never worshipped any beings from the Void. If demons truly worshipped entities from the Void, their strength would have been much greater than it was now.

If one had to say the demons worshipped anything, it would probably be the Demon King. Any demon with a bit of strength wanted to beco the Demon King.

Edrich’s body was writhing. He didn’t know why, it was just a scarlet thread after all. He believed he could easily crush it, but deep within his soul and bloodline, he felt an intense fear.

That fear even made Edrich want to forsake his dignity and submit to the man he had always despised.

If Edrich really chose to submit, Qin Chu wouldn’t mind sparing him and planting a prohibition inside him, making him another tool besides Luo ng.

However, before Edrich could speak up, Yileta’s crisp voice ca from behind:

"Edrich, just surrender. You’re no match for him."

"If you surrender and swear not to trouble again, maybe Mr. Qin will spare you."

Qin Chu’s eyes darkened. Yileta, are you sure this isn’t adding insult to injury?

For Edrich, there probably was nothing more damaging than Yileta’s words.

There was nothing more humiliating than Yileta persuading him to surrender.

This was truly a heart-wrenching blow.

Sure enough, Edrich, whose gaze had sowhat softened, suddenly beca crazed: "Damn it, surrender?"

"The noble Second Prince will never surrender to lowly humans."

"I will kill you, kill him. Neither of you despicable creatures will survive..."

Qin Chu was indifferent; after all, creating a puppet of the Evil God among the demons and stirring up internal chaos wasn’t so bad.

He released the lock of the Holy Light.

The thread zipped out imdiately, this weird entity’s initial reaction seed to be to burrow into Qin Chu’s body, but it quickly sensed the Holy Light emanating from him.

That was its nesis.

So, this weird thread imdiately charged towards the closest and bloodiest body, that of Edrich.

No...

Edrich struggled frantically, trying to stop this weird thing from approaching. He couldn’t do anything but watch helplessly as the red thread swiftly floated toward the corner of his eye and slipped into his brain through the gap.

In the next instant, Edrich’s body suddenly tensed up.

Beneath the shattered armor, bulges began to appear on his hardened muscles.

The intense pain caused Edrich to scream continuously, a reaction that sowhat surprised Qin Chu.

With Onions, it had been like a pinprick, not causing such a strong reaction, as most of the corruption had occurred silently.

Qin Chu temporarily released the pressure on Edrich, and the demon prince’s body bounced and twitched like a salted fish on the ground.

Then, Qin Chu noticed the bulges erging on Edrich’s skin began to burst and decay, covering his entire body with a copious amount of sli.

This situation seed a bit dire; it looked like Edrich might die at any mont.

Although Luo ng was his tool, Edrich couldn’t die yet; if he did, the Demon Prince would focus all his power to deal with Luo ng.

This very useful tool might be destroyed, which was sothing Qin Chu didn’t want to see.

But since it had already happened, even Qin Chu couldn’t stop it. He could only watch as Edrich’s body convulsed violently in screams and weakened in his screams.

The twitching gradually subsided.

Until at last, there was no sound at all.

His body, as if doused with a bucket of strong sulfuric acid, gradually turned into a puddle of thick fluid, scattering over the ground, leaving no traces of bone fragnts behind.

Dead?

The Second Prince of Demons just died in such an unclear and baffling manner.

The erosion of the Evil God seems to be a deadly poison to demons.

This was an unexpected discovery for Qin Chu, and even more surprising was that, amidst a pool of thick water, Qin Chu found that thread.

The thread seed to have lost its original vitality, no longer the bright red of fresh blood, but had turned gray-white.

The thread wriggled like a worm in the dense water, appearing to try and climb onto the bodies of the other three demons, but after a few wriggles, it also went completely still.

What was this?

Had the Second Prince of Demons and the thread of the Evil God both perished together?

Were they each other’s deadly poison?

This weird scene ant Qin Chu no longer had ti to ponder the impact the death of the Second Prince of Demons would have on their side; he instinctively felt this discovery was extrely important.

The sacrifice of Edrich made a significant contribution to his research; Qin Chu observed a three-second silence for Edrich’s death, expressing his deep respect for his voluntary sacrifice.

Considering the fate of Edrich and the thread of the Evil God, Qin Chu felt that there might indeed be a relationship between the demon and the Evil God but it was not anything as simple as propagated in the Imperial City that demons were descendants or believers of the Evil God. Instead, it was another kind of relationship, more complex and more twisted.

The fear Edrich showed towards the thread also caught Qin Chu’s attention. This was the powerful and proud Second Prince, yet his fear wasn’t as exaggerated as Silf’s had been.

It was fear branded upon instincts, the terror of facing a natural enemy.

A single thread had killed a level 90 Second Prince of Demons? Could such threads, perhaps just hair from the Void Evil God or a hair off its body, total thousands, tens of thousands, or millions?

This thing, it eroded and transford humans, while it outright poisoned demons!

This was worth detailed investigation.

The plan to turn the Second Prince into a puppet eroded by the Evil God, causing chaos in the Demon Territory, was declared a failure.

As for Luo ng, if things truly did not work out, Qin Chu would have Candice pass on a ssage to Luo ng to plead allegiance to the Demon Prince to avoid being targeted so quickly. After all, Qin Chu still wanted to utilize this tool for a little while longer.

Of course, if Luo ng could quickly find a target to absorb and devour, Qin Chu would not mind forcing Luo ng’s strength to level 90, to a level comparable to that of the Demon Prince.

Qin Chu stood up.

The three high-level demons, bound by Antia’s chains and continuously drained by the Devourer, had beco dried and shriveled. Seeing the fate of the Second Prince, they were all terrified.

This was the Second Prince of Demons, one of the most powerful beings in demonkind aside from the Demon King, and yet he had died such a miserable death, not even leaving bones behind.

Who exactly was this man, and why was he so terrifying?

Right, how had the Daughter of Death, Ireta, addressed this man?

Mr. Qin?

Qin?

These high-level demons, possessing considerable intelligence, trembled violently and imdiately thought of the only renowned Qin among humans.

The Second Generation Brave Warrior, Qin Chu!

This man, was he a warrior?

But, why were his thods more ruthless and brutal than those of demons? Could a warrior really do such things?

Unfortunately, they no longer had ti to mourn the Second Prince’s death, as the Devourer swiftly drained the energy from the three high-level demons, leaving behind only three twisted, ugly mummies on the ground.

The surge of energy entering his body made Qin Chu feel his strength had once again improved considerably.

Ireta bit her lip and walked over.

This outco was also unexpected for Ireta.

But Ireta did not care; as the Death Witch, though she seldom actively killed, she had seen too much of life and death already.

"Miss Ireta, now Edrich will no longer bother you."

"As your guardian knight, I suppose I am fairly qualified, aren’t I?" Qin Chu turned to face Ireta and asked with a smile.

Ireta gave a wry smile. Dead, indeed he could no longer pester her.

Collecting herself, Ireta looked at Qin Chu again, "Just now, Mr. Brave, did you say... the taste of a witch is quite good?"

Pfft...

Qin Chu, who had just put on a gentlemanly facade, almost spit out his water in surprise. Good heavens, he had almost forgotten—Ireta had excellent hearing.

Though he had spoken in a very low voice and the distance was great, his words had still been overheard by Ireta, the Daughter of Death.

Even with his thick skin, Qin Chu felt quite embarrassed at this mont.

He frantically waved his hands, "Miss Ireta, please don’t misunderstand, I was not talking about you..."

Ireta nodded calmly, "I know, you were talking about the Storm Witch, Miss Violet, weren’t you?"

"And also, a girl by your side seems to also harbor the residual soul of a witch."

"It’s not surprising that you have tasted a witch."

Qin Chu was montarily at a loss, unsure how to respond, especially when facing Ireta’s innocent eyes.

At that mont, Ireta suddenly made a statent that left Qin Chu utterly speechless:

"So, Mr. Brave, would you like to taste Ireta’s flavor?"

In that instant, Qin Chu seed to turn into a statue, just staring blankly at Ireta.

Ireta’s eyes remained pure, innocent, without a hint of desire or impurity. That look even made Qin Chu feel sowhat ashad.

This witch, she probably had no idea what she was really suggesting with her words.
