Dorgo’s body tensed into a curved bow, the ghostly light in his eyes becoming increasingly fierce, as if he were the top predator of the forest, preparing to hunt the prey entering his attack range.
Crack... Crack...
The sound of footsteps crushing dry branches spread through the silent Pipus Forest.
Only one person.
The scent of a human, riding along with the night breeze, was entering Dorgo’s nostrils.
Tonight, they were to trade with a mysterious human; it was clear who would appear here at this mont.
A slight arc ford at the corner of Candice’s mouth.
Let’s finish the trade sooner, the earlier it was completed, the sooner she could leave Luo ng’s territory.
To be honest, because of the significant role Candice currently played as the interdiary in the trade with the mysterious person, Luo ng wouldn’t allow other demons to harm Candice so, at least within Luo ng’s territory, Candice was doing relatively well; she did not, however, enjoy the awful sll and atmosphere.
Although Candice had watched when Ronald was dealt with, she turned and walked away because she couldn’t stand seeing the pitiful and tragic scene.
Excitent was visibly surging in Luo ng’s eyes, and his face’s smile could hardly be contained; he was eager to et this mysterious person, eager to learn more valuable information from him.
Under the hazy moonlight, a slender and tall figure finally appeared.
When they saw the small human, both Luo ng and Dorgo were sowhat shocked.
They had imagined the mysterious person would appear cloaked and masked, shrouded in black, certainly hiding his face and never showing his true appearance before Luo ng.
But in reality, it was nothing as they had imagined.
The mysterious human youth... who could even be described as a boy...
His face bore a light smile, without a hint of concealnt, and his handso features paired with a gentle smile could easily engender a favorable impression.
He wore a simple silver-white robe, yet it was filled with mystical and arcane runes.
The smile on Candice’s face deepened; this ti, he had appeared in the guise of Lord Horus.
Upon seeing Luo ng, a towering figure, the man showed no fear and didn’t turn to flee. Instead, he slightly quickened his pace and walked towards Luo ng; this reaction was almost enough to confirm his identity as the trader.
Luo ng admired this human in his heart, unafraid of him and even daring to et face to face; such courage was respectable.
anwhile, the green light in the Half Demon Wolf Dorgo’s eyes grew increasingly vibrant, and the mane on his body stood on end.
Candice’s eyebrows slightly furrowed, which was a sign that the Demon Wolf Clan was about to attack.
As expected, just as Horus took two more steps, a loud explosion suddenly occurred beside Candice.
Bang!
The ground shattered.
Propelled by a powerful recoil, Dorgo’s body, like a ghost in the night, flew towards Qin Chu at an incredibly fast speed.
The Demon Wolf Clan was known for its speed, and Dorgo’s strength had already reached Level 80 last year, making his speed even more exaggerated. Under the moonlight, a dark shadow appeared before Qin Chu at a speed Candice could hardly perceive, leaving the sound of breaking air far behind.
When he reached Qin Chu, he leaped up, and with a mournful wolf howl, his sharp claws tore towards Qin Chu’s face.
As swift as lightning.
Yet, not a hint of surprise, panic, or even a change in the subtle mocking smile was visible on the man’s face.
Just as the sharp claws were about to shred the man’s face, a black long spear suddenly appeared.
No one could see exactly how the long spear appeared.
Neither Candice nor Luo ng could see it.
Even Dorgo, with his sharp eyes right in front of the man, couldn’t see it.
The mysterious black long spear suddenly appeared, and then... Pfft!
The sound of the blade tearing through flesh.
The spearhead pierced through Dorgo’s back, thrusting through the chest, and blood spurted from the wound.
Imdiately following, the powerful impact from the long spear also exploded at that mont, carrying Dorgo’s body flying backwards, and with another bang, the huge body of the Demon Wolf was forcibly pinned against a large tree.
He wasn’t dead yet.
A Level 80 Demon Wolf, with extrely strong vitality, wouldn’t die that easily.
Still, such an ordeal was uncomfortable for Dorgo; his body writhed on the tree like a worm, continuously spitting blood foam from his mouth. Only his green eyes swirled with deep resentnt and madness, alongside the suppressed roars from his throat.
Pain didn’t scare Dorgo; it only fueled the ferocity within his nature.
Luo ng’s large eyes narrowed.
Worthy of being the mysterious trader, no wonder Candice couldn’t find any traces of this man.
Having defeated Dorgo in an instant, such strength was rare among humans, and Luo ng could even sense he didn’t really intend to kill Dorgo. Otherwise, the long spear would have pierced Dorgo’s head, not his chest.
The power contained within the long spear wasn’t ant to pin Dorgo to the tree but to completely blow his body apart.
Of course, this was the power of Antia.
Only, most people simply couldn’t see it.
Masquerading as Lord Horus, Qin Chu just curved his lips into a faintly mocking smile, stood his ground firmly, and gazed at Luo ng and Candice in the distance. Under the moonlight, the night breeze rustled the hem of his silver robe.
"Seventh Prince, what is the aning of this?"
"I have co with sincerity, are you trying to sabotage our trade? If that’s the case, then I must lower my estimation of the Seventh Prince and perhaps consider other investnt and cooperation options."
Luo ng suddenly laughed, jokingly saying, "How could that be? My subordinate is just a child, please don’t hold it against him."
He’s still a child...
Qin Chu’s lips trembled for a mont.
Where did Luo ng pick up that phrase?
Good things he doesn’t learn, only picks up things like this, huh?
A child? Three to four ters tall, and you’re telling he’s a child?
But just from this statent, it was clear that Dorgo’s actions had Luo ng’s approval. It seed the Seventh Prince was deliberately testing Qin Chu’s strength, then planning different responses based on his power.
If Qin Chu’s displayed strength had not been so formidable, Luo ng would likely have adopted a more aggressive and oppressive approach.
Now, it could barely be considered as equitable.
The smile gradually faded from Luo ng’s face as he seriously asked, "May I ask your distinguished na?"
"Horus!"
Qin Chu blurted out.
It seed he was showing absolute sincerity for this transaction.
It’s just a false na, after all. Try and check it, it ans nothing to .
Luo ng was quite satisfied with Horus’ forthrightness, nodding his head, "Lord Horus, please don’t misunderstand, my subordinate was just a bit impulsive."
"But as you know, demons, that’s just their nature."
"However, for our eting and trade today, I ... ahem, I have co with the utmost sincerity. First, please allow to present you with a gift," Luo ng said with a smile, winking at Candice.
But Candice was also reluctant to touch the dirty, stinking Ronald. With a flick of her hand, a whirlwind lifted Ronald’s body and tossed the rotten flesh-like object in front of Qin Chu.
Hiss...
Upon seeing Ronald, Qin Chu drew a sharp breath of cold air.
Was this still the once handso and graceful nobleman?
How did he fall into such a state?
He knew that Ronald would not have an easy ti in Luo ng’s hands, but he hadn’t expected it to be this dreadful...
His face seed sowhat deford, and much of the world-specific, ticulously grood long hair typical of gentlen was now gone, revealing large patches of scalp, so even lacking skin.
His shoulders, neck, face, and lips all bore the marks of demon bites.
His clothes were tattered and ripped. His arms, chest, and waist were covered in dark purple bruises. His head drooped to the ground, devoid of all vitality, his mouth agape, drooling.
His buttocks and legs, like a frog, twitched and spasd occasionally.
On him, one couldn’t sense even a hint of his forr noble deanor, not even the air of the holess beggars from the poor districts of the Oville Empire Imperial City... at least those people still carried so trace of living breath.
Miserable, desolate, pitiful, fallen... No combination of adjectives could fully describe Ronald’s current state.
Seeing the current Ronald, Qin Chu felt... exhilarated!
The more miserable Ronald was, the more thrilling it felt to Qin Chu.
He was very satisfied with Luo ng’s gift, which even if personally delivered, could not have been better.
If they were to show the current Ronald to Rose Vesper and Silf, they would never believe this was once a mber of the Hero Team.
Luo ng’s face was full of smugness, "Ronald has passed out now, but I assure you he’s not dead."
"I heard that Ronald had a deep grudge against you, sir, so during this period, I arranged for thousands of demons to take care of him, to ’favor’ him..."
Qin Chu was shocked.
Luo ng, although not the brightest, certainly didn’t hold back; thousands of demons... The image of Ronald on the ground, enduring thousands of demons, ca to Qin Chu’s mind.
His body shuddered.
God.
That’s brutal.
Even the kind-hearted Qin Chu found it hard to bear.
"How is this gift? Not bad, right?" Luo ng said proudly, then passed a storage ring to the mysterious Horus.
This ring, Luo ng had checked already, contained nothing special aside from Mana and Holy Crystal Stone.
"This is Ronald’s storage ring, I haven’t touched anything inside it," Luo ng emphasized.
Since this mysterious trader had already provided clues about Benson and Ronald, effectively suggesting and aiding in Ronald’s capture, Luo ng was sowhat proactive this ti.
Qin Chu took the ring tossed to him by Luo ng. His consciousness scanned it and the corners of his mouth subtly curved into a slight smile, which quickly disappeared.
Within this storage ring, Qin Chu found the second Soul Fragnt of Jie Luo.
