Miss Noma’s cheeks were slightly red; she was afraid.

Even though she was slightly tall, not quite petite, she sohow gave off a feeling of shrinking into herself.

This might have been related to Miss Noma’s childhood experiences. When her father was alive, she was a noble lady, but as soon as her father passed away, the support imdiately cooled. The wealth her family once possessed vanished, along with the so-called friends who disappeared without a trace. Even her father’s brothers ca to seize the inheritance.

For the young Miss Noma at that ti, it must have been an incredibly terrifying shadow, which shaped her timid personality. This personality stayed with her for life, and even considerable strength couldn’t change it.

Seeing how Miss Noma unconsciously clutched at her dress, Mr. Qin knew what she was thinking, and that image even tempted him to tease her.

Mr. Qin removed his outer suit, revealing the white shirt underneath.

Miss Noma’s body tensed up suddenly, especially when she saw Mr. Qin beginning to walk towards her. Her little face even turned sowhat pale, her body trembling almost imperceptibly. Her green eyes filled with intense fear, those large eyes seeming to ask Mr. Qin what do you want to do?

Nothing at all.

Mr. Qin walked straight past Miss Noma, whose little hand rested on her chest, as if trying to calm her fiercely beating heart, she licked her lips and breathed lightly.

However, the calm didn’t last long. Soon, the sound of Mr. Qin’s footsteps was heard again. He touched a finger to the table, and a plate of exquisitely made, appetizing pastries was placed in front of Miss Noma. "Coffee or tea?"

Mr. Qin’s always-gentle voice ca from beside her.

"Tea... tea..."

"My tea-making skills are not as good as Angelica’s, Miss Noma, please don’t mind." Mr. Qin smiled, and soon, a cup of tea was gently placed in front of Miss Noma.

Returning to sit opposite Miss Noma, Mr. Qin glanced at the tea in his hand with a hint of regret; a cold cola would have been incredible.

Unfortunately, such a thing didn’t exist in this world.

Truly a great pity, reducing so many pleasures of life.

"Please enjoy, Miss Noma. The tea might not be great, but these pastries are hand-made by Angelica. I can assure you, they’re no less delicious than those from Caterina’s shop."

"You seem very nervous, maybe try enjoying so sweets to ease your mood."

Miss Noma looked at Mr. Qin with so suspicion. Ever since Rose Vesper’s warning, she had ford a rather vivid image of the hero in her mind.

It was probably sothing like this: him standing over her with a whip in hand, looking down, and snickering, "You want to save Karsas, do you? Then you’ll have to give sothing in return, you understand, right?"

Then licking his lips while pouncing on her and tearing at her clothes... That was roughly the image.

This imagination made Miss Noma extrely fearful.

But in reality, upon eting him, Miss Noma found that Mr. Brave was nothing like what she had imagined.

How to put it... very gentlemanly?

asured and graceful in the presence of a lady, able to keenly perceive emotions and respond very appropriately.

Pale fingers delicately picked up a small piece of pastry and popped it into her mouth, chewing slowly, just as Mr. Qin had said, it indeed tasted wonderful.

Miss Noma couldn’t help but eat another piece, and as she was about to reach for a third, she suddenly rembered she was almost distracted from her real purpose by the food.

She quickly shook her head, took a deep breath. "Mr. Brave..."

"Just call Mr. Qin, no need to be so formal."

"Mr... Mr. Qin, please, save Karsas..." Miss Noma pleaded.

Then she sneakily peeked at Mr. Brave’s expression, but unfortunately, there was no trace of surprise on Mr. Qin’s face, as if her request did not astonish him at all.

Yet, that smile made it impossible for Miss Noma to discern Mr. Qin’s true thoughts, making her even more nervous.

A strange oppression lingered in Mr. Qin’s smile for nearly half a minute before he suddenly sighed deeply, "Miss Noma... if I may ask, what is your relationship with Karsas?"

Miss Noma’s cheeks tinged slightly red, "He was... my ex-fiancé... but due to so reasons, we broke up."

"I see." Mr. Qin remained noncommittal. "Then, Miss Noma must also be aware of what Karsas has done to ?"

Miss Noma’s pretty face turned pale at once.

"I don’t know why, but Karsas seems to really hate . He has attacked twice... even once, his spear was just a few centiters from my heart."

"If Miss Violet hadn’t miraculously saved at the last mont, I would already be a dead man."

"I hope Miss Noma can give a reason, why should I save a man who has tried to kill twice? What benefit is there for in doing so? To let him go on trying to kill ?"

"Sorry, I am not so foolish!"

"Moreover, even advocating for Karsas’s public execution was my suggestion; they originally planned to kill him secretly! Now asking to save him, isn’t that a slap in my face?"
