Rustling...
The taut chains made a crisp sound.
The Goddess was resisting, but the force transmitted from the chains grew stronger and stronger.
The chains were nearly cutting into the Goddess’s ankles, wrists, and neck. From her breath, Qin Chu could distinctly feel her intense pain—it was obviously unbearable.
As the vision of the Evil God was crushed, with the return of the Seven Evil Gods in the Void, the pressure on the Goddess suddenly increased.
Still, the Goddess continued to resist, wanting to convey sothing to that small person.
Her lips moved, but not a sound erged.
Qin Chu could also sense that this was a critical clue. He strained his ears to listen, even using his consciousness to feel, but he could hear nothing, feel nothing.
The chaos and madness entwined in the chains inflicted excruciating pain on Qin Chu’s brain. Even the re thought of probing could cause severe damage to his consciousness.
The Goddess’s apparition was fading away.
Her lower body was completely engulfed by darkness, and the dense, writhing black fog was bit by bit eroding her body—her buttocks, her waist, her chest and abdon, her neck.
Only her head remained visible.
Yet even so, the Goddess’s lips still seed to be trying to convey sothing to Qin Chu.
Damn it, it’s worth the risk!
Qin Chu gritted his teeth and steeled his heart.
Though the Evil God’s intrusion was terrifying, he believed what the Goddess was trying to reveal must be extrely important. This could very well determine whether he could survive in the future.
Taking a deep breath, Qin Chu clenched his teeth and shut his eyes tight, his consciousness reaching forward.
Hum!
The instant he made contact, Qin Chu shuddered violently, blood pouring from his eyes, ears, mouth, and nose.
Madness, slaughter, weirdness, cruelty, anger, desire, greed, despicableness, deceitfulness... all sorts of emotions surged wildly into Qin Chu’s consciousness, causing his body to convulse, while strange patterns erged all over, rapidly spreading across his skin.
Almost at the sa ti, the Goddess’s head was also devoured by darkness, completely subrged into the Void.
Qin Chu knew that the whispers of consciousness the Goddess had separated out were once again thrown back into the cage.
However, just before the Goddess completely vanished, Qin Chu caught a glimpse of her lips, heard the Goddess’s voice...
Her mouth seed to curve into the slightest of smiles; she was laughing.
The Goddess’s last words were rely two characters:
Witch!
Ah!
The spasm-like pain made Qin Chu cry out. He clutched his nearly decaying skull with his hands, now covered in fine scales and vertical pupils, collapsing onto the ground.
His body was being crazily contaminated, eroded, destroyed.
Qin Chu’s cry awoke Angelica, who had been paying attention to the situation from behind all along. Strangely enough, although people were kneeling all around, even a big shot like Augustus was on the ground, Angelica had not...
Perhaps it was because in her heart, there was only Qin Chu, and no one else.
Angelica knew her power was weak and she couldn’t offer much help to her master. This level of conflict wasn’t sothing she could get involved in. But seeing her master in such agony, Angelica couldn’t hold back any longer and suddenly burst from the passageway entrance.
She didn’t care whether the Evil God’s contamination on Qin Chu would spread to her. She simply stretched out a small hand and placed it on Qin Chu’s head.
"Holy Light... Holy Light... Holy Light..."
The Holy Light Technique appeared again and again from Angelica’s hands, the hazy white light enveloping Qin Chu’s body.
Angelica’s Holy Light, being a very normal and common type within the Holy Court, was not as powerful as Qin Chu’s, but it seed to have so effect nonetheless.
Qin Chu’s pain seed to decrease a little.
This encouraged Angelica. One Holy Light after another stread forth. The rot on his skin halted and even started to heal gradually. The vertical pupils, the scales, and the weird patterns started to disappear bit by bit.
Angelica had no idea how many tis she used Holy Light Technique; she just felt that her magic power was nearly depleted, and the muffled groans of Qin Chu’s pain finally ceased.
Though her head was splitting with pain, Angelica prepared to use up all her magic power to continue healing Qin Chu. Even if it could only play a small role, reducing her master’s pain was worthwhile.
But just at that mont, Qin Chu suddenly reached out his hand and caught Angelica’s wrist.
"Angelica, I’m okay now." Taking a deep breath, Qin Chu looked up at Angelica, whose cheeks were pale and covered in sweat.
In fact, Qin Chu’s condition was still very bad. Although the bodily mutations had temporarily settled, the excruciating pain was still stabbing at his brain like steel needles.
But he couldn’t let Angelica continue like this—she was on the verge of magically exhausting herself.
Looking down at the strand of goddess hair on his wrist, it had once again cald down but still emitted a slight heat.
The little sprout inside his body that had always been squeezing his fighting energy and magic power had also cald down at this mont. Under its pressure, Qin Chu’s inner strength was nearly depleted.
Just getting up, his vision swam, and he felt faint, as if he could pass out at any mont.
The feeling was truly terrible.
At that mont, if soone wanted to kill Qin Chu, it would be as easy as flipping his hand, for Qin Chu had little to no strength to resist.
