Caught up in it all, Jiang Qiuqiu felt a limitless will to fight ignite within her.

Standard military training in the interstellar era wasn’t much different from its 21st-century counterpart. It all began with training stamina and reflexes: everyone ran laps with weights and climbed obstacles—n and won alike, one after another.

It was exhausting, but hardly anyone complained. They all just gritted their teeth and pressed on. Everyone wanted to prove themselves, to get into the top A-class. They were all young and full of fighting spirit; who would want to be labeled the worst?

This was especially true after everyone "accidentally" learned during a break that the Captain leading the A1 team had started out as just a B-class Genetic Hybrid. He had reached his current standing only through intense physical and ntal training. That afternoon, everyone was even more fired up.

’A living success story is right in front of us. If I don’t work hard, soone else will be the one to achieve the impossible!’

「anwhile.」

A group of instructors and teachers observed everything on the training grounds through hidden cara drones.

"Not bad, not bad. This year’s students are even more earnest than the last batch."

"The results today are pretty darn good." The normally stern chief instructor laughed. "Look at them! See how hard they’re working!"

"They’re all just trying to get ahead."

"Don’t ask to go undercover among the students and spread stories again. It’s so awkward. I’m a teacher, for crying out loud. It would be mortifying if I got caught."

"Well, you’ve got the youngest-sounding voice. Anyway, never mind that. Look here. This prospect in A-class... Captain Xu, co take a look. This is the cha Departnt’s only S-level this year."

"The kid from the Huo family? Let see."

The cara drone quickly switched the feed. "He’s certainly good. Must have had special training at ho. This level of exercise is probably just a warm-up for him."

"It’s a harsh reality, but kids from good families receive far better training than those from Deserted Stars or Low-level Stars."

"Now look at this one, also from A1, right? Another good prospect. You can tell he’s trained—his footing is very stable. His Beast Gene must be pretty good. Quite outstanding. Once he develops, he’ll be a great asset to the corps."

The instructors comnted as they watched. Most of the praise went to the A-class students; the B-class students earned a few ntions, but not many.

But soon, Instructor Xu’s gaze was drawn to a small figure on the screen. "Who’s that?"

"That one? The girl?"

Teacher Ning glanced over and quickly stepped into the huddle to explain, "That’s Jiang Qiuqiu from Class A1. Yes, a girl."

"She’s impressive," Instructor Xu remarked, surprised. "She must have experience with weighted runs. Her form is solid. And she’s A-level. What star is she from?"

"She’s from Planet R, one of the Low-level Stars."

"...A Low-level Star?" Instructor Xu’s gaze sharpened. "A true prodigy, then."

"Is she registered as a specific type of Genetic Hybrid?"

"Well..." Teacher Ning Xiaoyu—the sa teacher who had conducted Jiang Qiuqiu’s re-evaluation—spoke up. "The tests showed she’s a natural person. She didn’t inherit any Beast Genes."

The chief instructor, who had been focused on the screens, whipped his head around. "None at all?"

"That’s right. And according to her admission files, she shows signs of being a growth-type. Her initial test on the Low-level Star only showed B-class spiritual power, but she tested as an A upon enrollnt. That’s how she got into Class A1."

Instructor Xu was silent for a long ti.

His gaze was now completely fixed on Jiang Qiuqiu.

’Natural person. Young. B to A. Growth-type.’

His mind was racing:

’No risk of genetic collapse.’

’Limitless potential.’

’From B to A ans she could potentially reach S. A growth-type...’

’Congratulations, student. You’ve just won a training plan ten tis more intense!’

’She needs extra training.’

...

Jiang Qiuqiu, still running on the training field, suddenly felt a chill run down her spine.
