Chapter 37: Chapter 37: Okay, Okay, We Will Get Back to You as Soon as Possible

Taking inquiries wasn’t scary. What was scary was taking this many inquiries at once, with so many people all asking about the sa person. And these callers—

They were titans.

"Could you please repeat your place of employnt?"

"Expeditionary Corps 1."

"Oh... Yes, of course. We’ll get back to you as soon as possible."

"And your mbership level?"

"Level 15."

"...Yes, of course! We will get back to you as soon as possible!"

’Works for the Senate?’

’A Level 14 mber?’

For a mont, all the custor service representatives could do was stamr out, "Yes, we’ll get back to you as soon as possible." But beyond their shock, curiosity burned: Just who was this Jiang Jiujiu?

The custor service supervisor was also a bit dazed. It was the first ti she’d ever seen such a high volu of service calls. What’s more, the callers all had incredible credentials—they were in the military, in politics, or just plain rich. She worried this was a coordinated prank, or maybe so stunt this strear, Jiang Jiujiu, had cooked up just to get famous.

After all, the information they provided during registration wasn’t necessarily real.

Just then, her own communicator rang.

"BEEP BEEP BEEP. Incoming encrypted call. Please accept imdiately!"

"BEEP BEEP BEEP. Encrypted call..."

Startled, she quickly ran back to her workstation.

’An encrypted call!’

In the Federation, only a few specific groups of people could use encrypted communication: top military brass, Imperial dignitaries, and Senate leaders. ’Would people like that really watch livestreams?’

’Holy crap, people like that watch livestreams and then call custor service?’

’They should just go straight to the boss!’

"Hello, how may I help you?" Though she was internally freaking out, the supervisor’s voice was warm and cheerful.

"Jiang Jiujiu, the strear in the food section. Why hasn’t your company signed her?"

"Th-... We will inquire with the editorial departnt on this matter and get back to you as soon as possible!"

"Mm."

The line went quiet for a mont. The supervisor wasn’t sure what to say, but the voice on the other end spoke first. "Do I need to register?"

"No, no, that won’t be necessary! You can just send a contact number to the custor service departnt, and we’ll get back to you with the utmost speed~"

"Fine."

The call disconnected, and the supervisor felt her heart pounding in her chest.

A rep who had just finished a call looked up. "Supervisor, what was the encrypted call about?"

"It was about that strear."

"I have a suspicion... that the information all these callers gave us is real."

She took a deep breath. This was huge. "Keep answering the calls, and make sure you are on your best behavior. I’m calling the editorial departnt right now to find out what’s going on!"

The supervisor quickly pulled up the records and found the editorial departnt for Jiang Qiuqiu’s section. The new head of that departnt was one of those "young masters" you couldn’t afford to cross, so she imdiately called his deputy instead.

The man’s voice was lazy and tinged with sleepiness. He had clearly clocked out early for the day.

"Is this the supervisor from custor service? Must be urgent if you’re calling this late."

"How can you be sleeping when sothing this huge is going down in your livestreaming section?"

"Hm?"

The custor service supervisor quickly fired over all the caller information and inquiries they had logged that day to the deputy supervisor.

He still sounded lazy. "Ah, no way there are that many ssages from the Expeditionary Army, haha. Everyone knows they’re trained to death. We’re talking people from the 1st and 2nd Corps—the top corps. When would they have ti to watch livestreams?"

The custor service supervisor let out a cold laugh. "Is that so? Because I just received an encrypted call, and that person was asking the very sa question."

The line went deathly silent for a few seconds.

Then ca the distinct RUSTLE of clothes being hastily put on. The deputy supervisor’s voice was suddenly stern and professional. "What did you say? What’s going on?"

"Explain everything, in detail!"
