Chapter 118: Chapter 118: I Was Eating Data Upstairs, She Was Eating Until Bloated Downstairs

The sun shone brightly.

Feeling the sunlight from the window, Mo Chengyu stretched. ’How lovely,’ she thought. ’The food Qiuqiu brought over yesterday was just too delicious.’

Even after a whole night, she still savored the mory of its texture.

’No wonder she’s managed to make such a na for herself on the interstellar streaming platforms.’ With skills like that, she’d be the star chef at a revolving restaurant in the Federation.

Humming a little tune, Mo Chengyu happily went downstairs. Before she even reached the bottom, she spotted Mo Si sitting alone on the sofa by the coffee table, his gaze fixed on the bowls sitting on it.

She froze in shock!

’Why is Brother up so early today?!’ She imdiately dashed into the small living room, reaching out her guilty hands to snatch the bowls away.

Mo Si saw her and looked up, his sharp eyes swirling with countless emotions.

"Brother, don’t! You’re not going to get mad over a few empty bowls, are you?" Mo Chengyu was at a loss for words. She said pitifully, "I didn’t an to not wash them!"

"It’s just that yesterday’s food was so good! I ate way too much, and I was so full and sleepy that I just went to bed. I was planning to wash them this morning..." Who knew Mo Si would suddenly co down, and so early at that.

Mo Chengyu diligently confessed her mistake, unaware that Mo Si’s mind was currently filled with question marks.

’This was yesterday’s food?’

’Yesterday’s?’

The truth, which had been teetering on the edge of his perception, suddenly seed crystal clear.

The cook next door was a young woman who often brought food for Mo Chengyu. The dishes included, but were not limited to, braised bamboo shoots, stead pork belly, braised gugu at, and fried atballs. A faint, lingering aroma would sotis remain in the living room.

At the ti, he couldn’t quite place the scent. But now, connecting all the dots, it was as if his mind had been suddenly enlightened. He understood instantly what those aromas were.

’So, the person living in Starry Sky Wander is Jiang Jiujiu?’

’So—’

’Brother, co quick! The chef god sister next door brought food over!’

’There’s so super delicious at, co on out!’

’Zuo Kai and I both love it!’

’I ate so much yesterday, I’m a little bloated.’

So, while he was in his small room on the top floor yesterday, pondering the true flavor of the data and having his soul stirred by that faint aroma, Mo Chengyu was downstairs, holding the real food, taking bite after bite until she was stuffed and bloated.

Scene after scene flashed before his eyes.

What had he missed in that limited ti?

"Brother, what’s wrong with you? I just didn’t wash the dishes. Why are you being so profound?" Mo Chengyu felt that sothing wasn’t right. She stealthily tilted her head and glanced at Mo Si a few tis.

Mo Si finally raised his head, his gaze landing on Mo Chengyu’s eyes.

"W-What?"

"What did you eat yesterday?"

"Huh?" Mo Chengyu was surprised her brother would even ask that. "Just so Rice, so gugu at products, Bibi Beast atballs, and so bamboo shoots and vegetables."

"A feast."

"Yeah, it was quite the spread. I called for you yesterday, but you didn’t co down. Let

tell you, the culinary skills of the little chef god next door are seriously amazing!" Even though the atmosphere was a bit tense, Mo Chengyu still earnestly sang Juju’s praises. "The food she makes is simply the most delicious in the entire Federation—"

"I know."

"Her food really is the best—" Mo Chengyu thought Mo Si was about to argue and reflexively continued her sentence, but she never expected his answer to be one of confirmation.

She was astonished. Mo Si had never even tried Qiuqiu’s cooking. "Brother, how do you know!?"
