Capítulo 1765: Chapter 1622: Perfectly Handled
As the group was preparing to head out, the room manager ca carrying a box of desserts. She first expressed the typical ‘Thank you for your stay’ remarks, then offered up a big box of adorable desserts…
Finally, she timidly made a request.
When she asked if she could try a little, the embarrassnt on her face was undeniable. In the next life, whatever job she does, she shouldn’t be a room manager.
Today, although there weren’t any weird clients, there was an eccentric kitchen staff!
Song Tan couldn’t help but laugh out loud.
She then nodded cheerfully: “Sure. It’s okay for a little taste, just don’t let it affect our cake and al.”
“That absolutely won’t happen!” the room manager vowed earnestly: Even if they were Flat Peaches, if they ate them lying down, the hotel’s reputation would be ruined.
It absolutely wouldn’t happen.
Yang Zhengxi sighed: “If we don’t eat it, we might dream of it a few tis. But if we taste it and can’t get enough, we might drool on the pillow dreaming of it…”
Oh dear! What a guilty pleasure!
However, right now they were extrely happy: The desserts were tucked into their backpacks, so if the park’s lunch turned out to be disappointing, at least the hotel’s quality was reliable.
They specially sent these over, probably wanting them to experience the chef’s pastry skills.
Implied aning: They won’t waste your good ingredients!
All these convoluted thoughts, Yang Zhengxi figured out quickly, but for now, nothing was more important than going to have fun with Qiaoqiao and Chen Chi.
He looked at the long, winding line ahead and proudly exclaid: “Let’s go! VIP access!”
In the scorching weather, the three youngsters, wearing the neat uniforms provided by the hotel before heading out, dashed off like the wind.
The enthusiasm and joy in full swing were sothing Song Tan couldn’t match in any way.
“Oh, I’m getting old, huh.”
She sighed.
Unexpectedly, the next mont, Lu Chuan extended his hand to her: “It’s my birthday today, be bold, everyone has a childlike heart.”
Song Tan was montarily stunned.
Then she placed her hand on his.
The next mont, Lu Chuan started to walk, the two enjoying the steaming hot wind, smiles visible on their brows and eyes.
…
It had been a long ti since Lu Chuan last visited the amusent park, back then he wasn’t wealthy and hadn’t enjoyed such VIP treatnt.
Song Tan even more so, she hadn’t ever been to Beicheng.
She couldn’t feel the nostalgia others talked about at all.
But… everyone here was happy.
No matter if it was the pirate ship in the tunnel or the small mine-like roller coaster… nothing needs to be felt, just cheering loudly with those around her brought involuntary joy.
Yang Zhengxi, as a young man adept at strategies, was currently pulling Qiaoqiao and Chen Chi to wait on the roadside to take pictures with the figurines. The three were sweaty, evidently having left the other two behind.
But that was okay.
Because Song Tan didn’t want to take care of three energetic kids either.
She wandered leisurely with Lu Chuan, with no need to queue, watching others rush by to catch various attractions, and felt an indescribable joy.
Not out of vanity, just a tiny bit of schadenfreude seeing others strenuously rushing.
And so, they wandered happily till noon, seated on a bench watching the lush plants and flowers, Song Tan couldn’t help but dream:
“Do you think one day, we could build a castle and estate as big as this?”
Lu Chuan thought for a mont: “The nature of state-owned land can’t change, right?”
Song Tan: …
He’s supposed to be a storyteller, yet he speaks so realistically.
She took out her phone: “Better call them for lunch.”
Another half hour passed before the three jogged to the chosen dining spot. Yang Zhengxi sighed:
“Sis! You can’t just focus on couple ti; we had to ask passing girls to take pictures in the classic spots…”
Song Tan couldn’t help but tease him: “Photo fanatic, how many have you taken between yesterday and today? There’s still a pile of pictures in Lu Chuan’s computer waiting to be edited.”
The photos of the rural fields and the amusent park were clearly distinct, can’t really count the sa way?
But at present, after a morning of activity, they were tired, hot, thirsty, and hungry.
The three chose a restaurant to enter, fantasizing:
“We’re so hungry, we should be able to finish all the food, right?”
The place they chose had a high average cost per person, but even so, it filled up quickly by noon. Looking outside at the other eateries along the street, queues had even begun there too.
What a scary downtown area!
Yang Zhengxi quickly cald down, even though by his first bite of fried chicken he had already put on a pained look, they didn’t waste anything, eating all the foods they loved.
Finally, indulging in one last box of desserts…
Yang Zhengxi lanted: “Why did they choose such a ti for this sumr camp? If it were just a bit later, I could enjoy Brother Lu Chuan’s birthday feast.”
But in fact, tomorrow was the registration day.
Sigh!
He was already calculating on his fingers: “Braised beef, roast lamb chops, potato-stewed small rooster, old duck soup… Sis, isn’t there crayfish in your pond?”
It’s so delightful to eat crayfish in this season!
There really aren’t many.
If they really wanted to eat, combing through the fields in the village would yield quite a few.
Song Tan exclaid: “Oh, it’s been ages since having a barbecue, almost forgot!”
Crayfish grow fast, if they quickly raise a batch now, they can enjoy them.
And the local crab, although not as famous as the hairy crab, if raised in their river, can be deliciously spicy too!
She pulled out her phone: “I’ll contact the fish farm owner…”
But who would be responsible for raising these crayfish and small crabs?
Lu Chuan thought for a mont: “Leave it to Uncle.”
Nowadays, there’s no necessary farm work needing family mbers to do, except for Song Sancheng helping out occasionally, he spends the rest of his ti trying different ways to fish.
Despite the scorching weather, he can still fish all night.
With a small folding stool by the riverside, lighting mosquito coils at night, listening to audiobooks through his headphones, he truly can sit solidly all night…
Lu Chuan concluded: “Anyway, he doesn’t catch any fish, but sitting like that for long harms the body, so it’s better he learns a practical skill.”
Song Tan: …
Lu Chuan made such good sense.
She imdiately called ho:
“Dad, I heard from Grandpa that you used to be really good at managing pond fish, crayfish, and loaches, right… not wanting fish right now, we won’t be back for a few days…”
“Not eels, wanting crayfish, and local green crabs and hairy crabs…”
“Store-bought? Store-bought ones aren’t delicious.”
“Dad, our own pond and Riverside Beach, do you think we can raise them ourselves? I’m just not that good at raising things, maybe didn’t inherit…”
“Huh? You’ll do it? Won’t it be too exhausting…”
“That’s great! In a month or two, we’ll be able to have barbecue every night, right?”
Ending the call, she gave Lu Chuan a smile:
Got it!
