Chapter 1380: Chapter 1255: Everything Is Just Right Everywhere

Through the curtain of rain, the man in front slightly tilted his head, his eyes smiling, looking over with a focused and joyful gaze, making Song Tan’s heart flutter after a mont’s daze.

He looks so good.

She thought: Thankfully, I didn’t miss this.

The thought had just crossed her mind when she already ran down the staircase from the terrace, and Lun Chuan only had ti to shout:

"The rain—" The outdoor stairs not only get you wet but are also quite slippery!

In the next mont, the private space under the umbrella was invaded, and the person she liked hugged his waist tightly with a damp embrace.

Lun Chuan was montarily startled, grasping the umbrella handle with one hand while instinctively wrapping his other arm around her, touching her rain-soaked hair, surrounded by the fresh scent of grass and trees.

"...You’re all wet." He sighed.

Song Tan, however, peeked out from his embrace, eyes smiling, voice soft: "I missed you so much!"

So this is what falling in love feels like! When apart, there might not be much longing, but upon eting, the joy becos overwhelming.

The words Lun Chuan was about to say stopped at his lips, blushing from cheeks to ears, and at this mont, his gaze turned into a gentle spring flow, he softly said:

"Hmm."

"What does ’hmm’ an?" After expressing her longing, Song Tan stood straight from his embrace, then closed the car door, taking the heavy umbrella from Lun Chuan’s hand and heading inside with him.

Lun Chuan, still imrsed in the soft affection from earlier, followed Song Tan into the courtyard before realizing:

"Give

the umbrella—I ant that I really wanted to see you too."

The umbrella seed rooted in Song Tan’s hand, and when Lun Chuan attempted to take it, the handle didn’t even budge, and they were already under the porch.

He silently withdrew his hand and then asked: "Where’s Uncle and Aunt? I might be staying for a while, so I should apologize to them first."

...

Apologize for what?

Song Sancheng and Wu Lan had returned from the living room, their eyes lighting up upon seeing Lun Chuan!

"Xiaolun is here? Gosh, driving in such heavy rain is dangerous! Why didn’t you say earlier?"

"Quick, quick, did you get wet? Go change your clothes!"

"No," Lun Chuan was engulfed in warmth and quickly said to Song Tan: "Your hair and clothes are all wet, maybe you should..."

He couldn’t finish because, in just that short mont, the wet marks on Song Tan completely vanished.

Thinking about it, she dashed down the stairs and across the courtyard so quickly that Lun Chuan barely reacted, not enough for a real soaking.

She was smiling at him now.

Lun Chuan also chuckled softly before looking at Song Sancheng and Wu Lan, earnestly answering:

"It’s alright, I hadn’t decided when to leave, so I thought I’d just co without a big announcent since Uncle and Aunt aren’t strangers; it’s unnecessary."

"The rain stopped briefly at night, there weren’t many cars on the road, I drove slowly, and it was safe enough."

"Stayed in the car, didn’t get wet."

His answers were thodical, but his attitude was exceptionally earnest. Upon hearing this, Wu Lan was absolutely delighted, her smile wide!

She quickly advised: "Next ti, don’t drive like this again, whether a day earlier or later doesn’t matter; safety is most important."

Seeing Lun Chuan nod obediently, she exclaid:

"When it rains heavily, nothing much can be done, so we didn’t let his uncle co over to cook, our breakfast was simple—Qiaoqiao, see what’s left in the kitchen and get sothing for your Brother Lun Chuan."

Qiaoqiao also joyfully rushed down the stairs:

"Brother!" His eyes glowed: "What do you want to eat? I’ll make it for you!"

It’s been a long ti, he had a basketful of things he wanted to share with Lun Chuan. Now, he excitedly picked the important ones to say:

"I made a new friend, taller and sturdier than ..."

"I know," Lun Chuan patted his head: "Your sister told

about him, his na is Chen Chi, right? I brought gifts for you all."

But in such heavy rain, taking things out was inconvenient, so they were still in the car.

Wow!

"Yay!" Qiaoqiao cheered: "Chen Chi has never received a gift! Brother, let

get you sothing to eat first—Sister, since it’s raining today, can I invite Chen Chi over for dinner after he finishes work?"

"Sure." Song Tan laughed: "Your friend, so of course you invite him, your ho, your decision."

"Okay!" Qiaoqiao clenched his fist: "I know he has to work, can’t delay his earning, I’ll call him when he rests!"

He finished and rushed to the kitchen again.

During this speaking mont, freshly brewed tea was already placed in front, and what’s more—it was excellent tea!

Also a stack of chestnut cakes, strongly recomnded by Wu Lan: "We have plenty of dried chestnuts left from last year, made these at ho, try so to fill your stomach."

Lun Chuan nodded, obediently picked one up to eat, then praised: "Things from ho really do taste better."

Wu Lan imdiately bead with joy and joined him on the sofa: "You’re here now, not returning to the Imperial City, right?"

"Originally the guest house outside needed painting, but the rain postponed it indoors."

"Don’t worry, the house here is managed by Old Xu; the price is a bit higher, but the quality is guaranteed. We’re supervising too! Just like the picture Zhao Fangyuan drew."

"Workers are on shifts, they say if everything goes well, it can be ready by early April."

Honestly, she hadn’t supervised Zhang Yanping’s guest house so closely.

After all, young n over there visited several tis a day, Zhang Yanping didn’t need to do anything, just scowled and went around a couple of tis, making workers more diligent.

Poor future son-in-law, spending so much money in the village for his daughter, can’t even spare ti to supervise...

Wu Lan felt a motherly affection.

Even Song Sancheng cleared his throat, emphasizing: "I’m watching it for you, all is well."

Lun Chuan thus smiled, sincere: "I know, Tantan has already told . Thanks to Uncle and Aunt for your efforts, it’s because you’re here that I can rest assured."

"Delayed so long because of matters in the Imperial City. Now everything is packed, at the latest, a car will bring my personal items over by the day after tomorrow. Just...may I stay here for a while, is that okay?"

"Why would you say that?" Wu Lan chided:

"What’s there to be concerned about, isn’t this your ho? Stay, stay anywhere!"

"What things? Let

help you move!"

She said as she was about to rush out but was stopped by Lun Chuan: "No hurry, wait until the rain is lighter, they’re gifts for Qiaoqiao and the others."

Oh dear!

Oh dear!

Wu Lan saw that he was pleasing everywhere, speechless for a mont, before nudging Song Sancheng:

"Hurry up, don’t just stand here! Go check if Qiaoqiao has finished serving the al! If not, make so dumplings!"
