Alexander McQueen shifted slightly away from the ss Xylander had caused. He didn’t want Daniel reprimanding him; he’d had enough. Unfortunately, Xylander hadn’t been briefed, and in his rush to Daniel, he hadn’t paid any attention to the young man beside him, whom he’d deed insignificant. Now, Daniel’s face had turned sour.
"Let down this mont!!!" Daniel ordered, no longer caring about Xylander’s display of affection.
Sigh...
Here we go again...
"Can’t you see I was with soone, or are you playing dumb on purpose?" Daniel fired at Xylander, who was shocked by the lashing and the mood swings. He finally looked at the young man on the floor and saw he was bleeding from his arm.
Jeez, oh God, did I do that?
Xylander rushed to him, as did Daniel.
"I’m so sorry, Daniel. I thought you’d had an accident, so I rushed here. I didn’t know you were helping soone," Xylander innocently confessed. He had been seriously clueless and wouldn’t have done such a thing intentionally.
"Dan, forgive ..." Xylander pleaded.
Draven was breathing hard. From the fall, his ankle had twisted further, and his elbow had grazed the hard wall beside him, causing the bleeding.
"Hmm, haaaa..." Draven cried out as a sudden knot of pain clenched his stomach. He was supposed to be a man, but fuck that—he was in pain.
"Oh, Draven, maybe you should have stayed in the hospital," Daniel worriedly examined him, tearing off more of his shirt to clean the blood from his arm.
Doctors rushed over at the sound of the scream. Seeing one of their post-operative patients trying to leave, they turned apprehensive.
"Don’t take him out; he still needs thorough dical checkups," one doctor affird.
But Daniel didn’t care. A doctor could tend to him just as well at their house, and more comfortably, since the patient was clearly uncomfortable staying in the hospital.
"He can’t stay here for personal reasons, so please respect that and leave my way," Daniel stated respectfully. They reluctantly obliged. It was his own choice, after all.
Alexander just watched the scene like soone at an opera. Xylander had joined the fray, leaving him alone in the shadows. As he was about to leave, Daniel suddenly called him.
"Alex, please, can you drive us all ho? Draven needs a properly cooked al, and I want to prepare that myself. In the process, I’ll cook dinner for the whole family," Daniel inford them.
Xylander’s mouth opened in surprise. He was still interested in making dinner?
"Are you strong enough to do this? Rember, there are enough servants for duties like this," Xylander tried to remind him, but Daniel shook his head.
Rachel was on his back, trying to prove he wasn’t a good husband material and was bent on chasing him away. Well, good thing he planned to stay for a long ti. For those who thought males couldn’t cook, he would paste that fact on their faces when he was done.
"Don’t worry, Xylander. Trust your husband on this. I just want to see their faces when I prepare a dish their entire generation can’t even relate to. Also, I can’t trust anyone else’s food there. Who knows who desperately wants to poison ?" Daniel revealed.
Alexander led the way to the rcedes-Benz parked in the driver’s lot. Xylander lent a hand in helping Draven, and together with Daniel, they aided him to the car.
Daniel sat right beside him in the back, while Alexander and Xylander took the front. Draven’s face churned with pain as his legs ached badly, but luckily, Daniel was there to offer comfort, so he just leaned against him.
Xylander secretly watched them in the rearview mirror, his eyes on Daniel’s upper body and the white jacket he wore—sothing he had been dressed in before. And then there was the scent emanating from him. He would have concluded it was from the young man beside him, but the boy had a pheromone that slled of roses and lilies, so it wasn’t him. aning Daniel had gotten entangled with soone else.
Should he be worried at this point? The last thing he wanted was to feel insecure about his groom. That wouldn’t have been an issue if Daniel was in love with him, but since he wasn’t returning his feelings, he might end up giving them to another man. Was that possible?
Alexander, on the other hand, could still see that Daniel was angry with him. The cold, detached tone he used was different from the way he spoke to Xylander and the young man. The tone hurt his feelings, and he couldn’t bla Daniel for it; it was his own fault for uttering such nonsense. But forgiveness seed a luxury Daniel wasn’t anywhere close to giving.
He was determined, however, to get Daniel’s apology one way or another.
The two n were both plagued by different thoughts, all connected to one beauty.
Draven, whose head was resting close to Daniel’s shoulder, whispered sothing for only Daniel to hear.
"Do either of them know your secret? That you’re an Oga?" Draven asked, suspecting they might.
Daniel glanced to the front, assessing both n. Alexander had known from the start, but Xylander? He had no idea; the poor man was still left in the dark.
"The blonde one knows, but the brunette man doesn’t have a clue yet," Daniel whispered back.
Draven looked at Daniel. Was he sure? He wasn’t too certain about Alexander because the man hid it well, but Xylander... it showed in the way he moved. He knew Daniel was an oga, and Daniel probably didn’t realize it yet.
"Okay, Dan, isn’t he your husband?" Draven inquired, having heard him call Dan ’hubby’ at the hospital.
Daniel nodded.
"Have you guys had any sexual experiences? Like, anything related to sex? Don’t mind , I won’t think deeply; I understand it’s a marital right. I’m just analyzing sothing," Draven clarified.
Daniel wondered what he was trying to achieve with all these questions. Hmm, he didn’t normally share about his personal life, but just this once...
"Yeah, we’ve done so sexual stuff," Daniel replied, his face turning as red as wine.
Draven had his confirmation. Xylander knew he was an oga. How had Daniel not noticed? When an alpha has sexual activity with a partner, they automatically know their rank. It was obvious.
"Dear Dan, he knows your rank. So maybe he has a reason for not telling you, but be careful, especially now that your wedding has gone public," Draven broke the news.
Excuse ? Public? How had his wedding gone public?
"In this world, especially in the upper classes, male Ogas are despised. So are killed or even burned alive. As brutal as it is, the law does nothing about it because they’re seen as a deformity, a clear violation of masculinity. And you, dear, are in danger with this marriage you’ve entered," Draven revealed it all.
Daniel bent down and handed him a bottle of water, still shocked beyond asure. Xylander knows. Alexander knows. Who else knows?
Gosh, I’ve really fumbled now. He might be exposed to the whole world, and his life would forever be at risk. Or could it be his own family? And why the hell were they videotaping the wedding? Who even approved that?
Well, whatever he was doing, he better plan fast and get the hell out of this city because this journey with the rich could end him. The handwriting was now clear on the wall: either end the pattern now or risk ending up six feet under.
That was, until he heard a life-changing piece of information that turned his entire journey around, bringing it all to dust.
