Draven Swift.......

Classes ended, and students stread out of the classroom. As usual, a particular seat was flanked by students adorned with flashy ornants and bags that scread luxury.

In their midst sat Draven, his red hair making him stand out from the crowd. He looked sad, still depressed that he hadn’t been able to find Daniel. It had been weeks now, and every search had proven ineffective.

"Draven, the whole school is on fire. What happened between you and Beatrice Bradford?" a guy leaning against the wall questioned. Beside him were three ladies whose buttocks he was fondling, an action that suddenly disgusted Draven.

"She doesn’t own , and the so-called engagent is off," he stated, making everyone gasp in unison.

Cassandra, who was among the crowd, listened intently. Her role as Beatrice’s cohort was mainly to gather gossip, so this was her primary duty.

"Are you out of your senses, Draven? She’s the most eligible Oga—an exotic breed, for that matter, and a high-ranking one," one of his friends comnted, trying to reason with him.

Draven just shrugged it off. Daniel was his only interest, and if one was talking about exotic breeds, Daniel was the highest. So why settle for less?

"Hmm, that’s none of your business, Chris. This is my personal life, and I am entitled to my own decisions, am I not?" His words cut through the crowd, silencing them.

While they were all discussing and exchanging hot topics, Charles approached, and every gaze turned malicious.

"What is he doing here?" a girl in a crop top and a short skirt—annoyingly branded with "fuck "—sneered. Draven didn’t realize they were attacking his friend until he turned and saw it was indeed Charles.

"Like, why is he coming here? Who is he looking for?" another girl chid in, her voice dripping with disgust.

"What a nobody..." another sneered. When Charles stopped at the edge of the group, all eyes fell on him. Draven was seething with rage.

Who did they think they were talking to like that? Charles, oblivious to the comnts, had been searching for his best friend for hours to deliver news that was spreading everywhere.

The young man he was looking for was now married—and not in an ordinary marriage, but to a powerful billionaire tycoon, a event that had turned New York City upside down.

"You rag! Don’t step further!! Carry your filthy body away from here!" Chris, who had comnted on Beatrice earlier, snapped. Charles was taken aback.

"Pardon? Is there a problem...?" Charles tried to ask, feeling the poisonous glares from the others.

Draven stood up slowly, his body trembling. He dragged Chris by the ear violently before landing a blow to his face that shifted his jaw.

"What was that for?!" others asked, alard by the sudden violence.

"It’s for your stupidity. Don’t you ever say such a thing to my friend. Charles McCall here is my best friend, and I am proud of it," Draven proclaid, his gaze sweeping over the now-gathered crowd, so of whom were already videoing the action.

As he issued his warning, his pheromones spiked to a suffocating level, overwhelming those of lower ranks, especially Chris, whose poor Beta body trembled under the furious assault.

Charles, who was being dragged away, felt his heart swell. In this school, he was a scholarship student who also worked at Draven’s estate. Draven never wanted him to work as a gateman, but Charles had insisted on earning his keep.

That was how Charles continued working there while attending school. Funny enough, nobody knew they were friends until today. Charles McCall wasn’t popular, which kept him hidden from the popular kids’ radar. Now, that ti in the shadows had ended; Draven’s actions had drawn everyone’s attention to him, especially Draven’s admirers.

"Charles, why didn’t you say anything while they were bullying you?" Draven scolded, already leading him to a secluded corner away from the main building.

"Calm down, Draven. They’re just a bunch of idiots. The ssage I have for you is more important than their petty insults," Charles asserted, but Draven still couldn’t accept it.

"I know you’re not as popular as I am, but don’t let anyone take advantage of you. So, what is it you have to tell ?" Draven asked. Charles jumped with joy.

"You’re going to thank for this..." Charles squird and pointed his Samsung device at Draven, who checked it only to feel a wild surge of joy—it was Daniel Lancaster.

Here he was, alive and well. But soone else held his attention—the man beside him, holding his hand.

"Who is that? Why are they so close?" Draven demanded. Charles’s joy dimd; he had forgotten that Draven was falling hopelessly for Daniel and likely hadn’t heard the flying news of the wedding from a day ago.

"The thing is, Draven... they’re married. I don’t think you’ll see him again, at least not as a single man," Charles expressed. Draven felt as if his whole life had been snatched away. His breathing stalled, and his eyes bulged.

Daniel? Married? It wasn’t possible in this universe. He couldn’t just let him go like that. Did it an Daniel didn’t even rember him?

No way!! Their intimacy had been far too profound for that.

It’s a lie?? It’s definitely a lie.

"You’re trying to make forget him, isn’t that it? You’re deceiving , and I understand, but Daniel is mine and mine only." He then slipped his hand into his pocket, took out his phone, and imdiately logged into his social dia account. The worst possible confirmation was plastered across his screen.

The wedding of Xylander and Daniel. It was as if they wanted him to suffer more; they had posted the kiss scene, that sensual mont as their lips collided and moved in heated passion.

Draven turned ice-cold, his expression souring completely.

"I’m going ho..." he stated and began to leave when a stern voice stopped him.

"You’re going nowhere, Draven Swift. Not with that woeful score in Arican Literature..." the teacher declared. Draven’s eyes turned more hollow.

Not again. But he was sure he had read....
