Paul arrived at the workshop and went to his desk. The first thing he noticed was a brass plaque on the side of his desk. It read: Electrical Engineer - Paul Craig. Paul was a little embarrassed, but when he turned around and saw Jonathan smiling, he knew it wasn’t William who did it.
"Paul, you’re the best electrical engineer that I have ever t. You found mistakes that weren’t ant to be found. You did your job above and beyond what any human could have done. And like I said, you’re the best, and you’re the best thing that’s happened to William and myself, and those two babies you’re carrying prove it. You bring out the best in him. I hope he told you about the house, and I pray that it’s okay because you deserve this and we deserve you in our life."
Jonathan hugged Paul. "Don’t tell him I did that. Let him notice it for himself, because no doubt he’ll co by to give you a good morning kiss before we leave."
Paul thanked Jonathan and he left.
Soon the crew started coming in and Jonathan told them to get ready for a eting—they had a full schedule planned.
José punched Charlie and motioned toward the plaque. Before they could say anything or ask any questions, William walked in. He walked directly up to Paul, wrapped his arm around his waist, rubbed his belly, and kissed him. He didn’t care who was looking or what they thought—he was just giving Paul his good morning kiss.
He turned around and saw quite a few open mouths and bulging eyes. "For those who have not seen it yet," he announced, "Paul got a new naplate on his desk, and it was a gift from sobody else, not . But the one thing that I did give Paul was my last na. From now on he’s to be known as Paul Craig. I’m declaring in front of all you n that I love him and I intend to watch after him for as long as we both shall live. The children that he carries for will also carry the Craig na and be raised up as our sons. And if you have a problem with hybrid children, just bring it to . We can discuss it then. When you pick yourself up off the ground, you’re welco to leave. If it was legal, I would marry Paul and make him my legitimate spouse. But as things are, he’s still my spouse, my partner, and my life mate."
"And get used to seeing . Besides business that I have here with the Z1 ranch, building the hos that you are contracted out for, we live here. And Paul will be moving into our ho where we will raise our children in love. Oh, by the way, this is an every morning event. I will stop by and I will kiss my partner in front of everyone to show everyone every day how much I love him and how much he ans to , so get used to it."
William turned around, wrapped his arms around Paul, and laid a deep passionate lip lock on him. When it broke, Paul was catching his breath. William slapped Paul on the ass. "See you later, baby." He left the warehouse.
Charlie was the first one to break the ice. "You an we have to deal with this every morning—him wrapping around you like so kind of... I don’t know... and kissing on you in front of all of us, then smacking your ass before he leaves?"
"Yes, Charlie, you do, because believe it or not, my partner loves all the ti, not just when I give him a piece of ass during my cycle trying to get pregnant. Maybe your life would be a bit better if you weren’t so easy and held out for sothing else rather than a ’Wham Bam, oh crap, here cos little Sam’ nine months later."
José slapped Charlie on the shoulder. "Good ti Charlie, co get you a piece and knock up. I’ll pop it out nine months later and co back for so more, and I’ll pop you out another one. My friend, you’re too easy. You need to have more respect for yourself."
Charlie wasn’t the smartest Genman on the farm, but even he got it. There was sothing more to be found in life than just bending over and taking a breeder’s seed and popping his little one out nine months later to raise on your own.
After the eting was over, Charlie walked up to Paul with his head down. "I want to apologize, Paul. I’m not anyone to make fun of soone else and what they’ve got in life. You hit the jackpot with William. I might be a little mad at you, even a little jealous, yes, but look at —I’m nothing special. I can’t even get one to stay the night. He only wants to stick it, seed it, and leave."
Paul laid his hand on Charlie’s shoulder. "Well, number one, dude, you gotta clean up. Make yourself more presentable, carry yourself with more respect, and demand respect out of those who you let into your life."
"Until William ca along, I had no idea that soone like him even existed, human or Genman. Tell you what, we got this big gathering coming up, and it is the best ti to try out the new Charlie."
"Clean up, shave yourself smooth, get your hair cut and styled by a professional at Miss Sonia’s place in town. Have her help you get a new suit of clothing and show you how to walk with respect for your own body. Believe , there’s sobody out there for you. If William was out there for , who’s to say there’s not soone for you that will respect you and your body."
"Now get to work, Charlie. Go on out to the jobsite. If anybody needs anything, I’ll be here and I can go to the site, but I’m watching what I’m doing right now. I have to protect both of my babies."
Over the next few weeks, things on the ranch were very busy getting ready for the event. The electrical departnt ran all the lines—everything was done for the power grid. Mr. Ed supplied new solar panels just for the event. It was also to introduce the line of solar electricity for remote areas—a very super highly efficient panel had been developed by Hawthorne Industries.
Charlie made an appointnt with Sonia and was very nervous. Charlie’s type was nothing new for Sonia. Mr. Zack had been sending her hard luck cases for years—that’s what she liked about the Z1 best. Zack didn’t discriminate against anyone on or off the ranch.
Charlie looked at himself in the mirror and didn’t recognize who he was looking at. He was definitely going to have to sneak back in—he couldn’t strut this stuff or he’d be tapped before he got to the cottage.
Charlie arrived ho. His roommate Elton was on the sofa holding his newborn, Ray. Elton wasn’t doing good—it was an extrely hard birth. Not one that he really wanted to do either, but when you’re a pregnant Genman, you just got to go through it.
