The little celebration for the new Richie went over really well. Constantine was very surprised that Eli was able to hold a civil tongue—maybe this could be a new start for the two.
Everyone headed ho and it was quiet on the battlefield. The two brothers said good night to one another and there was a little bit of normalcy between them.
The next morning Zack brought by four suits of clothes for Richie. He thanked Mr. Zack for all that he had done for him since they had arrived.
"I want to learn a trade and I need so help from everyone around because I’m basically dumb when it cos to making anything other than stupid remarks and dumb stunts." Richie looked down at his hands.
"Okay boy, that’s not a problem. I’m going to send you over to the main warehouse and you can start pushing so paper over there—counting numbers, labeling loads and where they go on the ranch." Zack adjusted his hat. "You will have soone there to show you the entire operations, and don’t think it’s all about paperwork either. You will be lifting stuff, you will be getting your hands dirty. This is not a prima donna job—it’s a man’s job."
Richie went to the construction office to see Ben for his job assignnt. Ben walked Richie out to the warehouse and handed him off to the manager, who showed him his job, gave him his paperwork, and explained the basics of how to do the job.
When one of the recent arrivals, Doug, saw Richie, he fell in love. He couldn’t believe how beautiful the young man was—his red hair and blue eyes set his heart racing. Charlie saw it and he knew the look. Doug was a man in love, not lust, but love.
Charlie walked over to Doug. "Be careful with that young one there. He just transitioned and has to get used to his new body—he doesn’t even know that he’s good-looking at all."
"Fresh transition, that little hunk? Damn, would you look at that ass he has on him." Doug’s eyes never left Richie. "I just want to grab him and hold him tight and lay a lip lock on him that wouldn’t quit. I want to talk nasty, but I bet you that thing is golden and I’d love to eat it out."
"Damn Doug, how long you been in dry dock? Calm down—plenty of guys will give it up around here. Believe , I can hook you up if you’re that horny." Charlie shook his head.
"I don’t go for casual one-night stands. When I find soone like that, I’m gonna latch on to it and hold it forever." Doug’s voice grew serious. "I’m never going to let it go, and no other man’s going to touch him. I plan to woo him and make him mine."
"Doug, this much I know—before you make a move on him, you better talk to the boss man. Get Mr. Zack’s lowdown on the situation." Charlie patted his shoulder.
"Thanks Charlie, I’ll talk to him and let him know my intentions are honorable." Doug nodded. "If he tells to go for it, I will. If he tells no, I won’t. Now I won’t like it, but I’ll follow the rules."

Zack was back at the warehouse during lunch hour when Doug approached him and introduced himself once again.
"Hello Doug, how are you doing? You like our little place here?" Zack looked up from his clipboard.
"Yes, sir, I do very much, and I appreciate the cottage that I have thanks to you." Doug’s tone was respectful. "I’ve never had that before and I will not disappoint you in any way. I will follow your rules no matter what."
"Mr. Zack, Charlie told to co talk to you before I did anything. The young man that was brought in today, the beautiful redhead—I would like to know if I could be allowed to ask him out." Doug’s voice grew earnest. "I don’t know what it is about him, but when I first saw him my heart raced and I want to take him as my mate if he would have ."
"Charlie told that he just transitioned and I’m twenty-five, so that makes him twenty by human years, but in Genn years that’s quite a bit." Doug continued. "I know he may consider too old, but I spent three years caring for a child that I was made to have after I did sothing stupid. But those days are over—I found my heart."
"Okay Doug, I tell you what—you shadow the boy, I an the young man. Don’t approach him, just watch how he carries himself, watch what he does." Zack crossed his arms. "Get to know his likes and dislikes, his general attitude and deanor as a Genn. I will talk to his older brother who takes care of him and his two younger siblings, and I’ll tell him that you’re interested in pursuing a relationship with him."
"There’s been so turmoil in the house—things happened before he transitioned and him and his younger brother don’t always agree on anything." Zack’s expression grew serious. "If you see him doing sothing that’s going to get him hurt or in trouble, step in, stop it, and convince him to go ho."

Zach left the area and headed over to Constantine’s cottage. The two of them needed to talk.
As he drove up, he realized that Constantine was over at Donnie and Steven’s place. He walked up and knocked on the door.
"Co on in, whoever it is—we’re busy in the kitchen!" Chas hollered out.
Zach walked in and slled the food cooking. Constantine was covered in flour, trying to learn how to make bread.
Constantine looked up and smiled. "Good day Mr. Zack, how you doing today? I’m a little busy—this bread is whipping my rear end."
"That’s alright, young man. All you need to do is listen—I’ll do the talking." Zack settled against the counter. "Your younger brother has already attracted a suitor. He’s a new resident here—he doesn’t know anything about what happened. I can tell you right now he’s well-mannered, polite, and he hasn’t had it easy."
"He can tell you his history, his background, but he’s not dangerous or anything like that. He goofed up one ti when he first transitioned, so for three years he did sothing with his life." Zack continued. "He has nothing but the best intentions for your brother Richie, and if he’s rejected he will walk away. But I’ve instructed him to kinda shadow Richie since he’s just recently transitioned and get to know one another—just bump into him every now and then. That doesn’t have to be anything special, but make sure he doesn’t get hurt by anyone."
"Now his objective is to pursue a relationship and eventually make him his. He’s six foot six, a pure blood, and a gentleman." Zack finished.
Eli was listening to the entire conversation and, like the typical smart-ass little brother, spoke up. "Well, he won’t be a gentleman long because the little slut will corrupt him once he gives him a piece of his vent."
Zack turned around and looked at Eli, clearing his throat. "Young man, sotis people make mistakes and people get hurt because of it, but there’s no sense in being vicious like you were." His voice grew stern. "The man is interested in your brother—he’s a little bit older and settled now and is looking for his life mate. Your brother is twenty and he is twenty-five. He has one child who has transitioned a year ago and left."
"He fell in love with soone and trusted him—they were to beco a mated pair and both bear their children for each other when the ti was right. The other Genn intentionally broke the condom after he mounted the gentleman and he impregnated him with a child and left during the night." Zack’s tone grew more serious. "He stayed by his child and raised him. He didn’t have to—he could’ve given it away at that age and no one would’ve blad him because of the way he was done."
"Maybe sobody that is worthy is who your brother really needs in his life. The man’s na is Doug and you’ll see him around here quite a bit." Zack stepped closer to Eli. "And young man, if you open that big fat sassy mouth of yours up and ruin it for your brother by chasing this good man away so that he can’t have any happiness just because he did a stupid thing, I will pull your pants down, I’ll whip your ass in front of everyone and you won’t have a little bitty Genn butt—you’ll have a gigantic red Genman ass that’ll be so sore you won’t be able to sit on it for two weeks. Now do you understand ?"
"Yes, sir, I understand you. I hear you and I will not do anything of the sort." Eli’s voice was subdued. "I’ll be polite, but I won’t be pro-brother, but I will be polite to this Doug guy because he sounds like a good guy."
"Constantine, I already spoke to Doug and let him know that there was a little sibling rivalry between number two and number three brothers—he doesn’t care. He has fallen head over heels with a beautiful redhead whose na is Richie." Zack turned back to Constantine. "I am going to send him over to talk to you that way you can approve or disapprove of the future relationship, but think about your brother’s happiness because he may need a little convincing himself. Because Doug is a damn good-looking man and your brother could do a lot worse."
Constantine thanked Mr. Zack for the consideration by telling him about Doug, who had the hots for his younger sibling. Even though he might not deserve him, Richie had a good-looking suitor according to Mr. Zach, and believe , he wouldn’t dare send them sobody that wasn’t of good intention.
