However, the waiting was agonizing.

Shen Xinghui felt restless and anxious.

His thoughts ran wild—Is it now?

Or later?

Maybe tomorrow?

It felt like being told, "Sothing is definitely going to happen within the next few days. It might be today, or in an hour, or later tonight. But it’s coming, without fail."

Although it wasn’t exactly a tragedy, the uncertainty made it feel just as heavy.

Shen Xinghui couldn’t help but wonder what Ignatius’s reaction would be.

Will he be angry?

Shen Xinghui thought, hugging his knees in the dining hall, trying to calm himself.

Of course he’ll be angry. I owe him so much, and I ran away without a word.

Or maybe he’s worried?

Even just a little?

Will he smile at like before?

Will I even be able to smile back to him?

His emotions were a chaotic mix—30% wanting to run away, 30% anxiety, 30% fear, and only 10% hope.

And then, it happened.

The door to the dining hall burst open with such force that Shen Xinghui nearly jumped out of his skin—probably a few centiters off the ground.

He turned around to look at the person who had entered, and his breath caught.

It was Ignatius.

Shen Xinghui froze, unable to move.

Ignatius looked different now—familiar yet changed.

He seed utterly exhausted, even more so than when he’d been injured.

He looked like he was carrying an invisible weight, heavier than anything Shen Xinghui had ever seen.

"A-ah..."

Tears welled up instantly in Shen Xinghui’s eyes.

His throat tightened, his nose burned, and his chest felt as if it might collapse under the pressure.

He couldn’t look away, and his trembling legs refused to obey him.

The sight of Ignatius brought a torrent of emotions that overwheld him completely.

When Ignatius spotted Shen Xinghui, he strode straight toward him and wrapped him in a firm embrace.

The warmth and strength of that hug surrounded Shen Xinghui entirely.

It was overwhelming, a reminder of just how deeply he loved Ignatius.

This isn’t fair, Shen Xinghui thought.

If he doesn’t feel the sa, he shouldn’t do this.

It felt cruel—but even so, Shen Xinghui’s feelings didn’t waver.

He loved Ignatius.

"I love you, Xinghui," Ignatius whispered in a low, deep voice close to his ear.

Those words carried both tenderness and an aching weight, making Shen Xinghui’s chest tighten.

His heart hurt, but sohow, it kept beating.

He then looked at Ignatius.

"I love you," Ignatius repeated.

"But..."

Then why?

Shen Xinghui thought.

Why did he reject back then?

Why didn’t he accept ?

However, Shen Xinghui knew he was partly to bla.

He had turned away from Ignatius too, refusing to hear what Ignatius had been trying to say.

"I should’ve said it properly," Ignatius admitted, his voice heavy with regret. "I was a coward. I tried to keep you by my side through underhanded ans. I took advantage of your confusion and fear, never once being honest with you about my feelings. That was my mistake. I’m sorry, Xinghui. Please, forgive ."

"Ignatius..." Shen Xinghui murmured, his voice trembling.

"I love you, Xinghui. I wanted you by my side because I couldn’t bear to let you go. The real reason I kept extending our journey was that I didn’t want to give you a reason to leave."

Ignatius’s words seeped into Shen Xinghui’s heart, filling it until it felt like it might burst.

His emotions swelled to the brim, a mix of overwhelming joy and disbelief.

What do I do?

Shen Xinghui thought.

I’m so happy.

I love him so much.

I could die right now and be content.

"I want to talk things through," Ignatius pleaded. "Please, give one more chance. Let tell you everything—just as I am."

"Can I... can I co back?" Shen Xinghui asked hesitantly.

"Of course you can! I want you to make my ho your ho. And until you accept , I’ll keep pursuing you, keep telling you how I feel."

Ignatius’s feelings had already co through so strongly that Shen Xinghui thought his heart might truly break from all the happiness.

Tears of joy poured from his eyes, even as he smiled.

It was ssy and unrestrained, but he couldn’t help it.

A short distance away, Jenna and Henry watched the scene unfold, their faces glowing with gentle smiles.

Pulling away from Ignatius’s arms, Shen Xinghui walked over to the couple.

Without hesitation, he threw himself into their warm embrace.

"Thank you, Jenna, Henry. You’ve done so much for . Calling your son—it made so happy."

"You’ve been like a son to us," Jenna said, her voice trembling with emotion. "Even though I never thought I’d feel like I was giving a child away in marriage, here we are. Xinghui, you’d better be happy. No sad faces, all right? And if things ever get too hard, just co back here. This place will always be your ho."

"Jenna!" Shen Xinghui sobbed, hugging her tightly and nodded his head over and over again.

He felt as though he’d found new parents in this world, and the thought filled him with a deep sense of gratitude.

Ignatius who is standing beside him, lowered his head deeply toward Henry, a gesture of respect and thanks.

"I am grateful for everything you’ve done to help Xinghui," Ignatius said to Jenna and Henry.

"No, Your Highness. We too have had many happy monts together. For that reason, we sincerely wish for his happiness. Please, take good care of him," Jenna responded warmly.

"I will, I promise," Ignatius said firmly, his gaze strong.

He then pulled Shen Xinghui close, and after promising to return one day, they left the important place behind.

Afterward, Shen Xinghui found himself seated in Ignatius’s hands as they returned to the mansion.

The letter he had sent in the morning was answered by noon, which seed fast, but he understood—Dragon Man can turned into dragons.

Ignatius true dragon form was so large that it was a little bit intimidating.
