Shen Xinghui was a human.

He is also soone from another world who are blessed with special skill called the God of Pregnancy and Fertility’s Blessing.

He hardly seed like soone who had lived a turbulent life.

His gentle aura and calm disposition contrasted with his strength—despite having given birth to many children, he remained resilient.

Since Nikolai t Shen Xinghui through Augustine, he had been surprised by the quiet but unwavering strength he carried.

Nikolai himself found Shen Xinghui’s presence comforting.

Before long, he grew closer to him on a personal level.

Now, once a month, they held an event called Mama’ Gathering.

It was small tea party where Shen Xinghui, along with Lyander, the spouse of Gabriel, and a newly added mber, a human youth nad Qi Yu, would et.

On the day of the gathering, Nikolai was in an unusually good mood from the morning.

Augustine who is noticing this chuckled and teased him, "You’re so adorable."

He was probably the only person who would dare to describe Nikolai in such a way.

When he had ntioned this to Shen Xinghui once, the latter had simply laughed and said, "He sees you through a special filter."

Nikolai had taken that to an Augustine’s brain was a little broken.

"NIkolai, welco!"

Shen Xinghui greeted him with a warm smile, and Nikolai gave him a slight nod in return before handing over a gift of tea.

He didn’t want to always be on the receiving end, and he had once heard Shen Xinghui say that the tea in this world was particularly delicious, so he made a habit of bringing so whenever he could.

As he made his way to the garden table, Nikolai’s eyes sparkled.

The heart-shaped cookies decorated with strawberry, orange, lemon, and blueberry jam sat atop the table.

Alongside them were two types of truffles, strawberry rare cheesecake, and a shortcake topped with fresh strawberries—the sponge infused with cocoa.

"NIkolai, you really do love sweets, don’t you?"

Shen Xinghui chuckled behind his hand as he noticed Nikolai’s tail swaying of its own accord.

Embarrassed, Nikolai snapped, "Don’t look."

However, given how his own face was heating up, there was no hiding it.

He loved sweets.

With his large build and sharp eyes, Nikolai didn’t fit the image of a man who enjoyed desserts.

Many found it amusing, but he didn’t care.

He liked what he liked, and sweets were delicious—end of story.

To maintain his image among his subordinates, he never indulged in sweets while on duty.

However, when exhaustion hit, his cravings beca particularly strong.

While most of his fellow soldiers preferred alcohol and at, Nikolai couldn’t handle alcohol at all.

Five drinks, and he’d be out cold.

Even after a single drink, his face would flush red.

In exchange, he indulged in sweets—chocolate, fresh cream, custard, jam.

Recently, Shen Xinghui had introduced him to a dessert called strawberry mochi, which he had found quite delightful.

"Oh, looks like it’s already started!"

"Lysander!"

"Hello, Xinghui."

"Qi Yu! It’s been a while!"

With everyone gathered, the tea party officially began.

Lysander was soone Nikolai had t many tis before.

He was bright and good-natured but tended to be overly considerate of others.

He possessed a troubleso skill called "Fortune Sharing," which allowed him to grant happiness to others by offering well-wishes—at the cost of his own fortune.

For Lysander, this ability was more of a curse than a blessing.

Most people would grow cautious with their words or beco silent to avoid unnecessary losses.

But for Lysander?

He talked more than anyone, and he was reckless.

As a friend, Nikolai often worried about him.

The last mber, Qi Yu, was a human from another world just like Shen Xinghui.

However, he was not soone to be taken lightly.

At a glance, he appeared gentle, but there was an indescribable depth beneath his deanor.

And to top it all off, he had openly stated with a bright smile, "I used to be an assassin."

Now, he was the spouse of the Demon King and served as the Queen of the Republic of Mara—a truly outrageous man.

"Xinghui’s cakes really are delicious," Lysander comnted, his face lighting up as he took a bite of the strawberry shortcake.

"If you had beco a pâtissier in your world, I bet you would have been incredibly popular."

Qi Yu picked up a truffle as he spoke. "He could have been a chocolatier too."

"A pâtissier? A chocolatier?"

"A pâtissier is a chef who specializes in making sweets. A chocolatier, on the other hand, specializes specifically in chocolate. There might be more precise definitions, but that’s the general understanding."

"There are professionals dedicated just to that?!"

Nikolai was astonished.

He found himself wishing he could visit Shen Xinghui and Qi Yu’s world.

The idea of a society so advanced that it had specialists for desserts was nothing short of enviable.

Shen Xinghui who is looking slightly flustered, laughed and shook his head.

"I still have a long way to go. I ss up all the ti."

"The fact that you’ve honed your skills this much simply because you love it and want to make others happy proves that this is your calling," Qi Yu said with a gentle smile.

Shen Xinghui turned an even deeper shade of red at the praise.

The truth was, everyone in the Mama’ Gathering secretly found this side of him quite adorable.

"By the way, NIkolai... are you really going to eat all of that?"

Lysander gestured toward Nikolai’s plate, which was stacked with every type of dessert available.

Of course, he would eat them all—and enjoy every bite.

And if anything, he would still want more.

"NIkolai, you really do love sweets."

"Xinghui’s desserts are leagues above anything else. Right now, they’re the best I’ve ever had."

That wasn’t flattery—it was the absolute truth.

As he savored a bite of the strawberry rare cheesecake, Nikolai smiled dreamily.

"You always look like you’re really enjoying yourself," Lysander noted.
