Seeing Alice's nervous look, Lucius just chuckled. His arm lowered and wrapped around her waist as he whispered softly in her ear, "You don't have to worry about that. I don't think I could go back to Reina again."

Hearing this, Alice's body squird in Lucius' arms as her face blushed red. "L-Lucius, what is that supposed to an?"

Lucius just smirked. "Don't you know… it ans your body is addicting, Alice."

Badum! Badum! Badum!

Alice didn't know what was happening. Her heart started beating so much she felt like it was going to leap out of her chest. She didn't know what this strange feeling was; she just felt like she wanted to stay like this with Lucius, in this mont forever.

Having Lucius hold her like this and whisper in her ear felt strangely good. Even if there was no Reina to seduce him or any other old vixen, Lucius would have to stay with her now.

For the first ti in her life, Alice, the future saintess of light, was feeling greed, and surprisingly, it wasn't for an object but instead a person! If Alice could look at herself now, she would be shocked to find that her expression and deanor were eerily similar to Reina's just a few minutes ago.

The one who slays monsters had beco the monster! She had beco the very thing she had sworn to defeat.

Alice looked up towards Lucius, and their eyes t. A pair of eyes as red as blood and another pair as blue as the ocean. No words were exchanged, but intense emotions seed to burn between them. But before such a heated environnt could develop any further, Lucius suddenly felt soone pull his arm.

Looking down, Lucius saw Camilla holding his arm with a grumpy look on her face. "Weren't we supposed to be getting sothing to eat?"

Lucius coughed dramatically to hide his embarrassnt. It seed that he had gotten too carried away with Alice and completely forgotten that he was supposed to be heading out. Lucius just sighed internally, agreeing with Camilla, "Let's go get sothing to eat, shall we?"

...

A short while later, Lucius and the group of girls were sitting inside the renowned pastry and dessert shop near Sanctuary. Lucius had decided to flex a little to let the girls enjoy so breakfast desserts. Although they were a little pricey, Lucius had to be honest and say that they all looked absolutely delicious.

Reina had a plate full of fluffy pancakes with a picturesque trail of golden syrup cascading down it. Alice, on the other hand, had a completely different breakfast dessert. Her plate was filled with beautiful crepes covered with a beautiful topping of raspberries.

Camilla, befitting her personality, had a more refined taste. Her breakfast dessert of choice was a piece of French toast, elegantly garnished with a dusting of powdered sugar that glistened like freshly fallen snow. A pat of butter, slowly lting from the heat of the toast, pooled invitingly, ready to add a rich flavor.

As for Lucius, he felt like crying. Although he spent money boldly, it was all just for appearances. Because of the fact that it wouldn't make sense for him to spend a lot of money since he couldn't cleanly launder money from the revolutionary army, Lucius wasn't rich at all.

He could spend a lot for the girls, but Lucius didn't see the point in doing the sa for himself. He got himself the smallest cup of bubble tea and a plain croissant and called it there.

As the girls were eating, Lucius could see his love points rising in real ti. Although he burnt a hole in his pockets, it was definitely worth it. This was the real pay-to-win ga style!

Although the girls were enjoying the al, they still didn't forget to thank Lucius, especially Alice and Reina. Although Camilla was a commoner, she was still a part of sothing big. Although the revolutionary army didn't like to live lavishly, she had at least seen the higher side of the world.

Reina, on the other hand, was a complete commoner from a village. The highest position she had attained was that of a bandit chief. For her, it was like the food of the gods! Each mouthful she took, Lucius could see Reina look into his eyes with overwhelming desire and love.

Although it was a little shallow, a major reason Reina dared to join Lucius in the revolutionary army was for the benefits she could bring and the absolute class jump. In her eyes, Lucius was already fulfilling everything he had promised her. How could she not be delighted?

Alice, on the other hand, was the daughter of a rural barony. She was better off than a complete commoner like Reina but only just. Each mouthful Alice took made her eyes sparkle like stars. As she turned towards Lucius, her sparkle didn't diminish but instead only increased.

"Thank you so much, Lucius," said Alice, her voice soft and lodic was filled with heartfelt gratitude.

"This place is wonderful. I really enjoyed the al and the scene. It ans a lot to that you brought here."

Although it was a simple complint, anything coming out of the mouth of a beautiful girl was just that much better, causing Lucius to feel a little bit embarrassed. Their eyes t, sending sparks flying, but just as a strange atmosphere was beginning to descend, Alice's eyes suddenly shook as she looked towards Lucius with a slightly cautious gaze.

"Lucius, I don't want to say this, but weren't you supposed to be doing community service with the school today?"

The second Lucius heard this, his body froze as his heart sank. Lucius quickly felt like a piece of shit. Not because he was missing sothing as trivial as community service, but because he felt like he was letting down Nina.

After giving a big talk about how he was supposed to be there helping her, he had completely forgotten about it and was instead spending ti with a group of beautiful girls. If that wasn't a piece of shit, then Lucius didn't know what was.
