Chapter 144 144. Vending Machine
A terrifying sound rang out in the hall as the sheath itself completely?exploded sending fragnts of tal flying all over the place!
Lucius's body bore the full brunt of the explosion and was sent flying!
Fortunately, Lucius had instantly covered himself with his berserk scales when he had sensed sothing wrong and taken no damage.
All he felt was a rough aching sensation all?over his body and just lay there on the ground.
While Lucius was lying on the ground he felt a shadow cover his face.

Lucius looked past the peaks that covered his face to see Serena's?smirking face.
"See I told you. Your tricks are not gonna work, you can only beco an assassin in the future."
Lucius pouted a little before suddenly jumping up onto his feet.
"So? Have you accepted it yet?"
"When did I say I was quitting? I'm just taking a little break and I'm gonna go grab so snacks."
Hearing the word snacks Serena's ears perked up a little.
Serena had a real sweet tooth but she was just too embarrassed to be caught buying or eating any sweet snacks during the dayti. In front of everyone, she had to maintain the image of the cold and serious instructor.
Lucius knew this so whilst he was training he would 'accidentally' buy too much cake or buy so for Serena even though she apparently disliked it.
Every ti Serena would 'reluctantly' force herself to eat these treats as it was not good to waste food.
Seeing a woman with such a devilishly mature body and cold face behave so immaturely has its own charm that Lucius finds it hard to resist.
He couldn't help but tease her a little.
"Oh yeah that reminds . You said you don't like these snacks I'm buying, I won't be getting you them anymore so don't worry."
"I-I…."
Serena was left speechless; she just didn't know how to respond.
Lucius was sure that if she was a dog he could see her tail droop and hit the floor.
"On second thought, I changed my mind. If I don't buy those snacks I get the feeling that Teacher Serena would be rather sad."
"You!"
Serena's face quickly blushed red as she realised Lucius had been teasing all along!
"It's not a good thing to tease your teacher you little brat!"
Lucius just laughed
He could see the subtle smile at the corner of her mouth. If she was a dog her tail would have started wagging all over again.

Lucius had left the training room for a while now and was on his walk back through the campus.
He had actually gone off campus in order to get these cakes as there was a bakery in the novel that was often ntioned as the best place for so he picked them up from there.
He was certain that a sweet tooth like Serena would fall in love with these.
It was a guaranteed source of love points, and besides, a certain part of Lucius just wanted to see the face of the cold and arrogant instructors morph into one of pure delight.
But as Lucius was walking he suddenly paused.
"Fuck! I forgot the milk!"
Realising he had left Serena's favourite strawberry milk behind Lucius took a detour and stopped off at a vending machine near the student canteen.
Yeah that's right, a vending machine!
This world was extrely modern in so areas and backwards in others.
A vending machine was one of the rather strange inventions to co out of the famous Duchy of Maryland ho to all sorts of wacky and strange magic inventions.
Lucius walked up to the vending machine and was rather surprised.
'That's strange, I thought there were two vending machines over here'
It was only after getting closer did Lucius realised that he was never mistaken, there were indeed two Vending machines, it's just that one of those vending machines was obscured by this complete giant of a man.
Looking at this young?man Lucius couldn't help but be stunned.
'Fuck! Is it or him that has the blood of the Barbarian King?'
The young man was a giant fierce fierce-looking man. This guy was built like Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson and yet we were soone supposed to believe this guy was a teenager?!?
His hair was shaved down to have a short buzz cut. He has sharp thick eyebrows and a terrifying scar that runs down the left side of his face even going over his left eye.
He didn't look like he belonged in school but rather accompanying bailiffs and loan sharks!
Lucius was confident in his own strength so he wasn't intimidated by the man's physique but he had to acknowledge that he was standing next to an absolute monster of a man.
Lucius didn't pay much attention to the guy afterwards and bought the last two remaining strawberry milks from the vending machine.
Just as he picked up the milks he could hear so faint mumbling from the man to his right.
"Strawberry milk… S-strawberry milk…"
Despite being a giant man, he had a look of total despair on his face as if he had just lost the world.
Lucius could?swear he even saw tears forming at the side of the guy's eyes.
Seeing this Lucius just sighed before tapping the guy lightly on the shoulder
"Hey, big guy. Here."
As Lucius spoke he handed over one of the strawberry milks he just bought.
"..this... it's yours, I-I can't take it."
Lucius just shook his head.
"Big guy, it seems like you need the strawberry milk more than I do. Besides I like chocolate just as much as well."
As he spoke Lucius bought chocolate milk shaking it off showing his point.
Having the bottle of strawberry milk shoved in his hand, the big guy was too stunned to speak before a wide smile burst out on his face.
"Thank you very much!"
