When he looked for a place to sit down, all the students present silently turned away to avoid his eyes. Clearly, nobody present wanted Lucius to sit down next to them.
Seeing this blatant ostracisation, Lucius could only snort in annoyance as he secretly cursed them in his mind
'These arrogant mages! Is it really so hard to show so friendliness?'
Although Lucius's grievances had so basis, he didn't understand just how crazy he appeared to these mages.
A lot of the people here were present during his fight against Louis and, unfortunately for Lucius, that was not a good thing.
Such a brutal and vicious way of fighting innately managed to disgust a lot of the mages, but more than disgust, it made them feel fear!
Mages were different from regular fighters in the sense that their senses were much sharper and because of that, they could always sense that strange ferocious aura that lingered around Lucius when he entered his draconic form that made their skin crawl even now
The Barbaric history of brutally beating one of his classmates till one of their faces turned bloody didn't do him any favours either
In fact, with the terrible reputation Lucius had already built up, these arrogant mages and nobles should have disdained to talk to him or even criticised him and directly protested his presence like they had done with commoners or people they didn't like before.
The only difference was Lucius wasn't those people. Put it simply, they didn't have the balls or the confidence In their strength to fight against Lucius.
Just as Lucius was begging to think there was nowhere to sit he saw soone.
In fact, he was surprised he hadn't seen her earlier.
But then again, with her timid and reclusive personality that made her sense of presence extrely small, it wasn't a surprise that Lucius had managed to miss her.
Of course, Lucius only could be talking about the pink haired beauty, Nina.
The second he saw her, Lucius's face lit up as he walked over with a smile
Nina saw Lucius and quickly beca flustered, but Lucius didn't seem to notice this and sat down with a smile on his face.
"It's good to see you, Nina. Since I was injured I've been piped up in the hospital so I've not seen you for a while so it's good to catch up with you like this"
Hearing this, Nina secretly had a smile on her face but didn't show it too much
" Y-yeah..it's good to see you too."
Seeing the girl stutter in embarrassnt it was so cute that Lucius wanted to tease her even more
"But I'm a bit sad "
"Huh?" Hearing this, Nina panicked a little.
This was her only friend after all
"Whilst I was fighting my first fight in Sanctuary,one of the first friends I made in Sanctuary didn't even show up."
Hearing this, Nina felt wronged! She felt extrely wronged!
She clenched her tiny fists as her face went a little red.
"B-but I was there"
"Huh?"
"I said I was there"
"Cough! Cough!"
As heard this, Lucius nearly choked on his saliva!
'What!'
Lucius didn't believe that Nina would lie about sothing like this so this ant that Lucius had completely missed her.
No matter. How you looked at it just made Lucius look like an asshole.
Lucius looked at this red faced girl and his mouth twitched
'Why can't you have a stronger sense of presence so I can avoid these types of situations!'
Although Lucius was a bit exasperated, eventually, Lucius just sighed. He didn't doubt Nina, but he was still curious about one thing.
"If you ca to see the match, why didn't you co to visit when I was injured and in the hospital?"
Now it was Nina's ti to be embarrassed
"I…I .. wanted to co visit but… every ti I ca sobody else was there so I waited for the next ti, but sohow there's always soone there when I wanted to visit."
Hearing this Lucius was left speechless.
Although it was kind of cute, sotis this girl was just too timid! It seed like he had to help this girl overco her shyness or else even if he was dying she wouldn't co to visit because she was too shy!
As Lucius was having these thoughts, Diana, who had been watching the interaction between Lucius and Nina the whole ti, suddenly narrowed her eyes.
Bias was a strong thing sotis and naturally with her information and Lucius are pursuit she would have a negative bias against him
So when she saw Nina lower her head in embarrassnt, she didn't know the entire situation and suspected foul play.
You have to understand, Lucius had just co into the classroom and was now whispering to a shy girl making her stutter and look with her head down. It was no surprise that soone could jump to the case of bullying.
"Is everything okay over here?"
"Is everything is okay, we're both joking and we're friends-"
But Before Lucius could finish his sentence, Diana cut him off
"I'm not talking to you."
Her blue eyes pierced through him with an unfriendly glare before turning ACL towards Nina
"Everything's alright we're actually both friends"
Hearing this , Diana was so shocked her mouth hung open
She couldn't understand why such an innocent young woman would hang around a person like him.
She looked at Lucius once again and this ti she properly took a look at him and finally got her answer
An exquisitely crafted face that simply didn't belong on soone like him with such a horrible reputation.
His sharp aristocratic features were frad sharp jawline and high cheekbones creating an irresistibly masculine visage whilst his burning crimson eyes could leave one entranced by their strange beauty if you looked into them for too long
For a second Diana even felt a hit of regret.
'Just how could such a face be given to this hopeless scoundrel.'
Lucius's lips bore a perpetual crafty smirk that showed off his playful, roguish nature.
It was a smirk that seed to be taunting and mocking her, leaving her extrely annoyed.
