Chapter 345

2-in-1 chapter:

---------------------------

"Kido Corps! Prepare!"

Tessai stood on the high platform, issuing a loud command.

Countless Kido operatives, their faces veiled in white cloth and dressed in black priest robes, all ford seals in unison.

With their synchronized gestures, the massive black rod at the center emitted a dazzling glow of spiritual pressure.

Standing near the cannon, Kyōraku Shunsui couldn’t help but click his tongue.

"What terrifying power."

"If this cannon were to fire... forget Kyōgoku—even Seireitei itself might be wiped out in an instant, no?"

Ukitake shook his head.

"Impossible. The Kido cannon is a divine weapon. When it was installed, the firing angle was permanently fixed."

"No matter how it's adjusted, it can’t fire at Seireitei."

Kyōraku bared his teeth in a wry grin.

In manga and gas, the more sothing is emphasized as 'impossible,' the more likely it is to happen later.

But he didn’t say that aloud.

Otherwise, a certain old man nearby would likely co teach him a lesson.

Yamamoto, both hands resting on his cane, raised his head to look at Karakura Town suspended above them.

There wasn’t much ti left.

The spiritual particles of the real world and Soul Society were rapidly interchanging.

If it continued, an unpredictable catastrophe would erupt.

He didn’t know what his idiotic disciple was plotting—but as the Captain-Commander, he had no intention of playing along.

Under everyone’s watchful gaze, Yamamoto said in a low voice:

"Fire."

Tessai nodded without hesitation:

"Fire!!"

Countless Kido operatives simultaneously released the Reiryoku from within their bodies.

The light of spiritual pressure burst from beneath their feet, like a massive circuit, converging into the central black rod.

Brilliant light began to flash from the cannon’s mouth.

……

Inside Kyōgoku, Ryūdōji Gonryū sat cross-legged with his eyes closed.

He was adjusting his state.

Though he didn’t know why Kaelith hadn’t pursued him yet, it was clearly only a matter of ti.

His task was to reach peak form before Kaelith arrived—and to use the inexhaustible lost souls within Kyōgoku to construct traps.

If Kaelith dared step foot in here, he’d make sure it was a one-way trip!

Ryūdōji curled his lips, as if already seeing Kaelith’s demise.

Suddenly, a powerful sense of dread surged within him.

It felt as if an invisible hand were slowly reaching in, pinching the fragile fla of his life.

A little pressure, and he’d be reduced to ashes.

Why? Why was this happening?

Could it be that Kaelith possessed such might that he didn’t even need to enter Kyōgoku to kill him?

Impossible!

After struggling for a few seconds, Gonryū decided to temporarily abandon ditation and investigate.

He soared upward, erged to the outer shell of Kyōgoku, and cautiously poked his head out to observe.

And with that glance—his soul nearly left his body.

Through the space tunnel connecting Kyōgoku, from a trendous distance, he could see that massive glowing black rod.

The spatial Kido cannon!

Though he’d never seen it fired, Gonryū knew its reputation well.

If that thing really fired—he was finished.

Gonryū’s eyes filled with despair.

Because Kaelith had interfered, he hadn’t reclaid the Shinenju.

Without it, he couldn’t fully activate Kyōgoku and rge the real world with Soul Society.

Which ant—he was about to be killed by the Kido cannon for nothing.

What should he do…?

Escape?

All his clan mbers had been killed by Kaelith. Even if he escaped, what could he accomplish alone?

Within re seconds, Gonryū’s mind went through countless struggles.

Finally, he gave a bitter smile and lowered his head.

Forget it.

Endless failure... perhaps this was the Ryūdōji clan’s fate. Let the cycle of karma end with .

He closed his eyes, ready to accept his fate.

But then, a voice ca from beside him—

"Ryūdōji Gonryū, open your eyes."

"It’s still too early to give up."

"Even in despair, you must summon the courage to hold out to the end!"

Gonryū’s eyes shot open in shock.

Standing before him was that nightmare figure.

He instinctively reached for his sword.

But Kaelith turned around and gave him a bright smile.

"Gonryū, protect Kyōgoku."

"As long as I’m standing, I won’t let anyone harm you."

"In return, I entrust my back to you."

"Do your best—guard Kyōgoku!"

“.....?”

Gonryū’s pupils trembled.

*What the hell are you talking about?*

Just days ago, they were mortal enemies—Kaelith nearly erased him from existence in the real world. And now he was acting like an old friend... Was this schizophrenia?

But before he could say anything, Kaelith laughed heartily and charged toward Soul Society.

The Kido cannon flashed.

A massive beam—like a divine sword cleaving the world—ripped through space and descended!

Gonryū’s chest tightened.

But at the last mont—the blade stopped.

In disbelief, he saw Kaelith standing at the front, gripping twin blades, pushing forward.

Those glowing, spiritual-pressure-infused swords had halted the advance of the Kido cannon!

*Impossible!*

How could a re Soul Reaper stop a cannon powered by hundreds of Kido operatives?

How could soone like this exist?

Gazing at Kaelith’s back, Gonryū was frozen.

The clashing lights of spiritual pressure shifted colors across his face.

Suddenly, he ca to a realization.

Though he didn’t know why Kaelith had suddenly switched sides, it was likely tied to power struggles or so hidden interest.

Regardless—at least for now, this absurdly powerful man was on his side.

That thought filled Gonryū with joy.

He grinned wildly, looking borderline insane.

With a splash, he dove back into Kyōgoku. For a thousand years, the Ryūdōji clan had struggled to survive within the Dangai. In that ti, they’d mastered a secret technique: manipulating the unbound souls inside Kyōgoku.

Even without the Shinenju to fully activate Kyōgoku and destroy the world, he could still control its movent—and get it away from the center of the battlefield.

To make it move faster and not betray Kaelith’s trust, Gonryū roared and burned part of his own soul to accelerate Kyōgoku.

Turning his head, he seed to gaze past Kyōgoku’s barriers—toward Kaelith.

"...The rest is up to you!"

With that, Gonryū collapsed to the ground.

……

Kaelith, unaware of Gonryū’s inner turmoil—and frankly not caring—

…was fully exhilarated now.

The spatial Kido cannon, one of Soul Society’s trump cards, truly was powerful, unstoppable even.

But if they thought it could kill him?

They were dreaming!

"RAAAAAAH!!!"

With a shout, Kaelith’s spiritual pressure burst upward like a Super Saiyan’s transformation. Twin blades in hand, he swung forward.

A devastating wave of sword pressure instantly tore the Kido cannon apart.

Hovering in the Dangai, Kaelith laughed heartily.

..........................

.......

.

*In the real world—Karakura Town—*

When people saw Kaelith destroy the cannon in one strike, they were montarily stunned.

Then the crowd erupted.

"He did it! He really did it!"

"That’s insane! Who IS that guy?!"

"He’s a superhero! Only a superhero could do that!"

"Idiot! That’s Ultraman!"

"Bullshit! He’s clearly a human! How could he be Ultraman?!"

"He’s Ultraman’s human host!"

"Aaaaah!! He’s Dyna’s host! Dyna! Take my light!!"

"Dyna’s host? That’s Nagano H—right?"

"Nagano H— died in a traffic accident! This is the new host!"

"NANI?!"

A girl with braided pigtails and the pink-haired twin-tail beside her had stars in their eyes.

From a nearby rooftop, Ishida Ryūken pushed up his glasses.

"...Incredible."

He had long known Kaelith was in a different league, but witnessing it firsthand still made him feel like he was seeing a ghost.

Shiba Isshin grinned.

"That’s Kaelith-aniki! A man even my master acknowledged—how could he possibly be weak?"

In the crowd, so younger folks looked puzzled.

They pulled out their phones and opened Nikopi.

Searching the keyword: lsp ad.

The top result featured Kaelith at center, surrounded by buff n.

Category: MAD/Entertainnt.

They tapped the video—and watched, with hypnotic music playing in the background.

Then they looked up at the laughing figure in the vortex.

He was far away, but still—

He looked *exactly* like the man in the video.

It couldn't be the sa person.

...Right?

……

While Karakura Town celebrated, Seireitei had descended into chaos.

"What happened?!"

"The Kido cannon missed its target!"

"Sothing interfered with the firing!"

In the square, the Kido operatives looked up in disbelief toward the swirling vortex.

Soone squinted through the broken fragnts of the Kido cannon—and saw a silhouette.

"Wait… is that Captain Kaelith?"

"Huh?!"

Everyone looked over.

Monts later—the square fell silent.

Staring at Kaelith, laughing deep within the vortex, everyone suddenly felt like they’d been hit by Komamura.

*What the hell was happening?*

*Why was Captain Kaelith there?*

*Did… did he betray us?!*

Tessai, Kyōraku, Ukitake, and Lieutenant Chōjirō all turned instinctively to look at Yamamoto.

Yamamoto took a deep breath, trying to keep his blood pressure down.

Grinding his teeth, he growled:

"Brat... what are you doing?"

His voice wasn’t loud—but everyone present, even Kaelith in the Dangai, heard it clearly.

Kaelith blinked.

He turned his back to them, lifted his hand—and a half-face white mask appeared out of nowhere.

He turned around and laughed:

"You’re mistaken! I’m not Kaelith Yurei! I’m one of Hueco Mundo’s Three Generals—Lilynette!"

He thought the identity switch would cause confusion.

Instead, everyone just looked deeply alard.

Several Kido operatives even collapsed in fear, pointing trembling fingers.

Kyōraku and Ukitake were equally stunned, clearly bracing for battle.

Lieutenant Chōjirō stepped in front of Yamamoto protectively.

Kaelith tilted his head.

*What’s the big deal? It’s just a Hollow mask...*

Then a voice screeched from the Kido crowd:

"Captain Kaelith betrayed us!!"

"HE’S WEARING THE CAPTAIN-COMMANDER’S HAORI!!"

"...huh?"

Kaelith froze.

He glanced over his shoulder.

There, on his back, was a giant “One”.

Shit.

Because he often sparred with Yamamoto—and they usually destroyed their Haori—Kaelith had stashed several First Division Haori in his shadow space.

They looked almost identical to the Eleventh Division Haori. He hadn’t paid much attention when putting it on.

He hadn’t realized it was the wrong one. Awkwardly, Kaelith chuckled, hurriedly took off the Haori, and burned it to ashes.

Gotta destroy the evidence fast!

But the Kido operatives were now even more terrified.

"Captain Kaelith... he just burned the Captain-Commander’s Haori!"

"Was that... a declaration of war?!"

"Captain Kaelith’s turned traitor!!"

Several operatives scread and bolted away.

Yamamoto had once again been emotionally punched by Komamura.

At this mont, he didn’t even care whether Kaelith had actually rebelled.

Even if that idiot had, Yamamoto figured he could still bribe him back with a deluxe lunchbox.

The real priority—was destroying Kyōgoku.

Forcing himself to stay calm, he said:

"Brat, if you have a reason—say it now."

"If you don’t, get out of the way and let us destroy Kyōgoku!"

Kaelith snorted.

"No reason."

"And I’m not stepping aside."

“Heh.”

Yamamoto grinned, baring white teeth.

If they were going to talk like that—things would be simple.

Shraaang!

With a burst of spiritual pressure, his cane turned to ash, revealing a blade.

He yanked off his Haori and tossed it aside.

Then, baring his upper body, he revealed well-trained muscles.

Ready, he drew his Zanpakutō.

Inside the vortex, Kaelith’s eyes lit up.

He tore open his uniform as well.

In the real world, countless people watching the scene got excited.

Perfect. Just right!

That exact movent!

The sa pose from the LSP4 video!

He really is the LSP muscleman!

The cheers reached a new high.

As soon as Yamamoto drew his Zanpakutō, he launched himself forward, ripping space apart.

Kaelith grinned—and swung his blades to et him.
