The letter from India had arrived on sowhat short notice. When the invitation was delivered to Speaker Long’s desk, the proposed visit date was for April 1.
It was already March 21, so they only had about 10 days to make preparations.
Speaker Long needed to confirm the personnel arrangents if he was going to make a visit.
Gu Nianzhi must attend as well.
