Chapter 369: Charity Invitation

Yun Xiangxiang felt happy studying with Song Mian. Even if she did not express herself clearly, Song Mian could still understand her vague words and found the crux for her.

“I wish you were my teacher.” Yun Xiangxiang supported her chin with one hand, “I think if you teach , I can beco a postdoc!”

She had the desire to continue studying like this for a lifeti.

“Okay, you’ll follow wherever I go in the future. I will be responsible for teaching you. You will be responsible for studying and taking exams.” Song Mian imdiately dug a hole for her.

Yun Xiangxiang smiled a fake smile when she faced Song Mian’s face that had a forced smile, “Dream on.”

Yun Xiangxiang ignored him after she spoke. She started reading again after she rested for a while. Unless there was sothing she didn’t understand, she ignored him until they landed in Venice at seven o’clock in the evening.

Song Mian did not bring her to et Lu Jin and the others imdiately, but he took her to his private house instead. Yun Xiangxiang had been numb to Song Mian’s property, or it might have been because her health had not fully recovered, and she didn’t even bother to look at it.

Song Mian didn’t take her out for dinner but asked her to take a bath instead. He chose to make dinner for her himself.

Yun Xiangxiang, who was refreshed, enjoyed a delicious dinner. The happiest thing was that Song Mian asked Song Yao to buy her an ice cream.

Although it was small, and not as big as a scoop of Häagen-Dazs, which could be eaten in a bite, Yun Xiangxiang was satisfied.

And so she happily read for another hour and went to bed on ti at ten o’clock at night.

He Wei, who arrived in Venice one day earlier, called her in the morning and asked for her address. He Wei arrived just after she had finished eating.

“Brother Wei, have you had breakfast?” Yun Xiangxiang asked concernedly.

Although this was a location specially chosen by Song Mian and was very close to the film festival venue, Yun Xiangxiang was still worried since he arrived so early.

“I’ve had my breakfast at the hotel. I’ve co to deliver your dress and jewelry.” He Wei put the things down, and Zhou Jie, Yun Xiangxiang’s makeup artist, followed along.

“Thank you, Brother Wei.” Yun Xiangxiang was sowhat embarrassed.

“There is one more thing I want to discuss with you.” He Wei sat down in front of the sofa.

“Wait, I’ll pour you a glass of water.” Yun Xiangxiang hurried to the kitchen. There was freshly squeezed juice, and she poured a glass for each of them.

He Wei took it and put it in front of him, “There is a charity event in China in November, and they want to invite you.”

“It’s not sothing as simple as a dinner party donation?” If it were as simple as that, He Wei wouldn’t need to discuss it with her because it won’t take much ti.

“Yes, they want the participating celebrities to send warmth themselves.” He Wei nodded, “This event is a charity event jointly organized by several major companies. Since the targeted group is the children in need, I hope you can join.”

Yun Xiangxiang understood. Her masterpiece that brought her fa was “University Dream.” It appealed to people to care about the needy children.

When such charity activities found her, she would cancel everything and join the activity regardless of how busy she was.

If she refused and it wasn’t spread out, it’ll be fine, but she would probably be scolded to death if the news was spread out.

Even if she was not obligated to join, many people just placed a morality label on her.

“What is the specific process?” Yun Xiangxiang felt that if He Wei were in such a difficult position, it wouldn’t be a reputation issue.

“They drafted three stops, and each stop would have a minimum delay of two days, so you must take at least eight days to leave.” He Wei thought for a while and said, “Also, the participating actors must experience the local environnt firsthand. You’ll have to stay at each stop for one night. You’ll be tracked and fild throughout the whole process, except for special and sleeping monts.”

Yun Xiangxiang understood He Wei’s worries. It seed that the people in this organization were financially rich. This was sowhat equivalent to a reality show.

It was just that this reality show would be a real event without any activity arrangents, and the people participating would most likely show their true colors.

No one had ever dared to do this. Weren’t these offending actors and their companies? A lot of energy and financial resources were needed to package an actor.

It was estimated that there were not many people who dared to join. It couldn’t be said that many people are superficial, but most actors would put on a mask and do not want to expose their nature.

They might not be pretending, but a way to protect them instead.

There might be no problem staying for a few hours, especially in such an environnt and place, but not many people would be able to stand it for a long ti.

In so villages deep in the mountains, going to the toilet would be a huge problem.

But the advantage of doing so was that it would wholeheartedly implent charity so that more people can feel the plight of needy-children in difficulties.

“I’ll go.” Yun Xiangxiang agreed without hesitation, “About Xie Manliang’s side, I will tell him well when the ti cos.”

Seven or eight days were not incredibly long, and she should be available to apply for leave.

“You are going to eat and live in those places, are you ntally ready for it?” He Wei confird again, “If you don’t want to go, I can find a way to help you refuse it.”

“The people who can initiate such activities are not short of money, and there are so many companies behind the joint support. It is not a wise move to refuse it.”

Yun Xiangxiang shook her head, “I’m going not only because I don’t want to cause you trouble, let alone being afraid of ruining my reputation, but I think this is sothing worth doing.”

Yun Xiangxiang smiled when she saw He Wei still frowning, and said, “Brother Wei, I know you are afraid I can’t adapt. When I fild “University Dream,” I would sotis shoot night scenes in the local area. I know what the situation is like; you don’t have to worry about .”

“Let her go,” said Song Mian.

Yun Xiangxiang bent her eyebrows and smiled sweetly at Song Mian.

“Okay, then I will help you agree, and I will find out the specific itinerary in detail.” Song Mian had already agreed, what else could He Wei do?

When he received this invitation, He Wei’s first reaction was to refuse it. The conditions in a truly remote area were difficult, let alone city people. Even so wealthy young people from the countryside would not be able to imagine it.

He Wei was not worried about Yun Xiangxiang exposing sothing. He was reluctant for his actor to suffer.

This was the first episode of this event. In fact, this was also moral kidnapping Yun Xiangxiang, which forced Yun Xiangxiang with no choice but to go.

As long as Yun Xiangxiang took the lead, other actors would find it difficult to refuse when invited later on.

He Wei was also a little annoyed by their actions, as this was equivalent to using Yun Xiangxiang.

He didn’t directly reject it but chose to discuss it with Yun Xiangxiang because this matter might not be able to be concealed. He Wei didn’t want Yun Xiangxiang to realize it later only when the news got exposed.

At that ti, there would be a gap between him and Yun Xiangxiang. He Wei would never directly call the shots for Yun Xiangxiang when it was related to her decision-making power.
