Hellmode ~Gamer Who Likes to Speedrun Becomes Peerless in a Parallel World with Obsolete Setting~ Vol. 12 - Chapter 733 - The Rain for the Lake
It was the morning of September 20th. And just 10 days before Allen's 17th birthday.
Allen teleported to the wilderness of Primordial Beast's Lands via «Homing Instinct», and along with him were Great Spirit God Easley, God of Harvest Mormor, Beast God Gran, his comrades, and Abigail.
(Hehe, I was just waiting for this mont. Though I didn't expect them to co along after the closure to the Soul Rite Festival.)
After the curtain had dropped on the ceremony, the Heavenly King had invited Allen and his comrades to play with the baby, the First Angel Homaru, and in all this, a day had passed.
There had also been nearly 100 decision makers of Beastkin that he had brought along. They also had Albahar follow along, though the place was neither the sanctuary of Beast God Gram, nor the village of founder Albahar.
A vast wasteland rolled beyond their gazes, with no speck of settlent, fortress, or even the grass. Fissure ran across the dried surface, though there were also no more spirit beasts wandering around, much due to the hunting spree led by Dragonkin and Beastkin.
This was the first place that sprang inside Allen' mind when he listened to the complete details about Drop of Life, and Spring of Life from the Great Spirit God. Hence, while he had been clearing the Earth Labyrinth, he had dispatched Bird A Summon Beast ahead in anticipation of this trip, setting up a nest to teleport when the situation requires.
«......»
The presence of gods was sothing sort of a miracle, and their arrival imdiately stole everyone’s gaze. Elderly Albahar, the founder of beast kingdom, and one hailed as sagious by fellow beastkins, was not immune to them either as he gazed at them with reverence.
He couldn't be blad. Among the gods present, two of them were literally the Great Gods, the two pillars who were no more than ten.
Well, there had been instances like Beast God Garm waging war against the Creation God Ela nearly a million years ago. Beast God Gram had taken a neutral stance since then, anwhile Beast God Gran was there to keep an eye on two major gods.
Under the concentrated gaze, Mormor briskly strolled around, as if he owned the whole place.
«Heh, indeed. This is quite a bleak scenario. This shall be the lake for the Drop of Life aright.»
Mormon easily skipped over Beast God Gran's gaze, and murmured, gazing at the depression on ground. The depression was made after a teorite had crashed in ancient tis.
Perhaps, it was a trace of the past, of a giant lake that seed to have existed here, though now a deserted land.
Allen and his comrades had passed through this place during their journey through the Labyrinth.
«So that's how it is. A lake that once used to be... the Fish God Mingia territory huh.»
"Indeed, this is the situation. I intend to make use of this forr lake. It’s quite far from the Beastfolk settlents, so it should be safe."
Allen briefed Mormor, while Great Spirit God shifted the sky.
«You all have waited long enough, and it's now ti to begin. Desperado-san, if you may.»
«As you command, Easley-sama.»
Following the words of Gran, Space-Ti God appeared in the air.
"Thank you very much for offering your cooperation, Great Space-Ti God."
«Oh, this is a trivial thing, the guide of Elf. It just happened to fall into my line of authority, so it's not trouble.»
The humble and magnamious Space-God Ti was one of their key pieces in transporting Drops of Life.
(Well, we need to safely transport the «Drop of Life» after all.)
As it stood, the Drop of Life was the very condensation of life force, and people would lost their body if they accidentally touched it. It would be intolerable that, despite the blessings, they failed here.
The lake size, estimating from its present shape, should be big like Lake Victoria from his old world, Allen mused inwardly. In fact, it might even be bigger than Lake Biwa. And the giant lake was once managed by Fish God Mingia, a mber of Light God Anty's force.
Though all that unfolded before them now was re withered scenery. If he was right, the plenty of Drop of Life should bring forth an abundance of nature around the 1000km area of the lake in sowhat ten thousands of years.
Since it was a no-go for humans, they'd manage to acquire the helo of Space-Ti God via Great Spirit God's help.
«Very well. Then, I shall begin. —Ha!!»
Space-Ti God spread his hands evenly, forward, and channeled his divine power at full throttle.
*Fwoosh*
Promptly, a grand magic circle appeared a bit ahead in the air, and the Drops of Life stread from it like a waterfall.
(Hmm, I guess there must be another magic circle at the bottom of the Spring of Life, and this magic circle was the tap to release water. The Drops of Life absorb both spiritual and magical power, and it can be carried through divine power. Still... I wonder how long this will take?)
The water continued to fill up the remnant depression with a thunderous roar. Albeit, it was still quite slow in respect to the size the lake was, and Allen was worried that it might take a long ti to fill this huge lake.
The thunderous roar might display the torrential flow of the Drop of Life, but in the grand sche of things, it was like using a shower to fill up the bathtub. And at a glance, it was clear this would take sowhere from a few days to weeks at minimum.
Allen tried to speak out, however the Great Spirit God spoke before him, probably having the sa thought.
«Excuse , Dosperior-san. There is plenty of Drop of Life, so I was hoping if you can accelerate the transfer speed.»
«Hmm—, sothing's not right. I am already acting at my full power, but... Sothing's interrupting my divine power from taking full advantage of.»
«Is everything alright?»
«It's not anything noteworthy, just that Cecil-san seed to have gone berserk in my territory. Maybe it was the cause? The areas of control should be different from the Ti-Space Managent System... Please wait a mont. I'll go directly to the managent system and handle this myself."
(Cecile's rampaging around? I guess she is working hard too, eh.)
When he heard the cause might be Cecile, Allen seed to have found the answer, seemingly chalking it up to sothing inevitable. To him, it was the sign that Cecile was doing great in raising her skills.
After stating his speculation, Space-Ti God whisked away from place, leaving behind the torrential downpour of Drop of Life in its current state.
"A trouble in the transfer system? I wonder what might be the cause."
Sophie asked in a worried tone when she listened to details, placing a hand on her chest.
"You really do worry a lot, don't you? —Hmm? Oh, the flow's increasing more."
The montum of torrential pour increased, now reminiscent of Niagara fall, a colossal amount of water gushing out. Parched for so long, Drop of Life had already started to show their effect, softening the tough bed of the lake.
(Space-Ti God must have found the problem. Still, the system's not just about manipulating space and ti huh.)
Well, he was the one who had Space and Ti of all three realms in his hand.
"It's now our turn, Pecktan. Bring out the seed of the world tree."
«*Guggle—,* Mmm-mm-mmm!»
Next, Allen summoned Pecktan, and had it invoke the once-in-a-month skill; «Divine Seed Creation.»
Pecktan crouched and seemingly concentrated its focus.
(Despite having 'god' in the na, it really didn't invoke any instinctual reverence.)
From Pecktan’s rear end, a seed, about the size of a baseball, which looked like a dried plum pit, shot out forcefully.
Allen picked up the freshly-sprouted divine seed from the ground, and invoked his throw skill.
"Oyraaa!! Behold my supe-pitch!!"
With all his strength, Allen hurled the seed, and it flew with incredible speed, heading straight for the heart of the Space-Ti God's magic circle, which had now taken the shape at the waterfall basin, sinking deep into the shimring Drops of Life.
—Splash!
—Crack-crack
The seed subrged into the water, and within a split mont, it displayed sprouting. The surface cracked up, making way to a newborn bud, and it continued to grow at an accelerated pace, while pushing its trunk up toward the surface of the water.
It was a splendid display of the vitality contained within «Drops of Life». Had it been a human realm, one could leave the seed from the fruit of the World Tree buried for weeks, and even then it wouldn't show any growth.
"I see. So Drop of Life is quite important for World Tree growth huh."
«...Now we have another World Tree to count. We have yet to take approval from Ela-sama, however I appreciate your efforts, Allen-san.»
The World Tree was surely going to bring more greenery in this vast, desolate land of beastkin. And given the opportunity, Allen decided the Drops of Life would work best as its nourishnt.
"Now, Drops of Life could return back to their place after being wandering for so long. And beastkin got their deserved rewards for their efforts by gods. I am just glad to be the link to it."
«Good grief.»
Great Spirit God exhaled a sigh, though they already had discussion over it.
"Gran-sama. I wonder if you can support with your divine power if possible?"
«These old bones are never going to see a rest, are they? But alright, for the beastkin, this much is nothing.»
As Allen and the other gods made their progress, the excitent within the crowd of beastkin continued to shoot up. They had felt at last, that no longer their land would have to face the dryness.
«Hoho. It wouldn't hurt to confer a bit of my blessing too.»
(Ah, I knew it! He definitely had so goal to follow us here.)
«What might you an, Mormor-sama?»
Allen exclaid inwardly, while Beast God inquired the aning of God of Harvest’s words.
The confusion wasn't unwarranted. He had offered Allen and Great Spirit God the stage for their play during Soul Rite Festival, however he wasn't supposed to visit here. Gran lowered his posture out of variness, and fixed his gaze at Mormor.
«Well, it's just a bit of help. Its apparent beastkin lacks the divine power to sufficiently raise the World Tree, and that would only take a colossal amount of ti. Isn't it kind of a pity that they've the blessing, but they would struggle to make use of it still? I am just helping a bit out. Haaa!! Miracle of Abundance!!»
With a shout, God of Harvest began hopping around, stepping lightly on one foot as if in a celebratory dance, before raising a hand toward the reservoir of the "Drops of Life."
—Crack-crack
—Pop-pop
In an instant, trees began to sprout vigorously, as if enveloping the whole lake between them. The trees, growing rapidly around the reservoir, branched out and reached over five ters in height. Hidden within their lush green leaves were the fruits of Mormor, sothing Allen had eaten frequently as a child.
But it wasn't the end of his blessing. He borrowed the power of Drops of Life, and transford the parched land into a vast adow, stretching all the way to the horizon.
"T-this is amazing."
"I didn't expect we would be blessed to this extent. Thank you very much!."
"The fruits are ripening already! Hmm? What’s this vine-like grass? Wait—goodness!! It's yams! There are so many yams sprouting from the ground!!"
«Haha. Well, you can expect a great harvest next year too as long as you don't forget your prayers. However never forget that the lake beyond the wall of trees is but one that takes your life. I did bring up that formation of tall trees, so it should help, but never be careless enough.»
(Wow, that's, uh, quite a move. The Drops of Life were a gift from the Great Spirit God, while Space-Ti God helped bring them here. But to beastkins, God of Harvest has beco their light, and is for sure to beco his follower. Hmm... if beastkin are glad, then it's all that matters. And it's indeed with God of Harvest blessing that they can have such abundance of crops. Oh, and they also got warnings about Drops of Life. It's fine I guess.)
Since Drops of Life were lethal, and the beastkin higherup that had gathered to arrange a suitable place for them had been oblivious to their effect, Allen had thought to give a warning later.
However since God of Harvest delivered it himself, beastkin should be taking this with utmost caution. He inwardly gave his gratitude.
«And thus, my purpose is fulfilled. I will take my leave.»
God of Harvest teleported away after dropping that line.
"Alright, ti to round up important information then."
With the mormor Tree acting as the defensive line, the Drops of Life continued to flow into the lake at the centre of this tree, the effect of Space-Ti God's magic circle yet to expire. In the anti, Allen gave a rundown of the situation.
"I see. So this place isn't suitable for living."
"Understood. I will make sure everyone hears of it."
"Yeah, the first one that I need to learn is the food scavenger party. It would be a disaster if they end up here."
Beastkin showed an enthusiastic nod, indicating they'd understood the implication. Then Albahar, who had kept mum throughout the discourse, approached Allen.
«We will keep a strict eye on the situation. But putting that aside, we really do owe you a huge favour, Allen. I really thank you from the bottom of my heart for the effort you have shown for beastkins.»
"Oh, please. I also really appreciated your support for Shea, Albahar-sama. Oh, and I can't forget about you, Space-Ti God. We really appre—Lupto-sama?"
Albahar expressed his gratitude, and Allen responded to it when a magic circle suddenly appeared above Allen.
(And she's alone? What in the world happened?)
Allen raised his head, and confird the visitor was First Angel Lupto. However she was alone, and the three Great Angels he had never seen her without with nowhere in sight. Furthermore, her expressions were clearly tense.
A nervousness imdiately seized Allen and his group.
«Allen. The Demon King Army has invaded the Divine Realm! Follow imdiately?!»
"W-wait, the whaaaat?!"
Lupto's strained shout t with Allen's confusion, failing in comprehending the situation imdiately.
