Hellmode ~Gamer Who Likes to Speedrun Becomes Peerless in a Parallel World with Obsolete Setting~ Vol. 11 - Chapter 610 - Giran's 2nd trial, Mythical Bird Ram
After spending 6 days setting up a system to obtain Spirit Stones, Allen headed to the Mythical Bird Ra's nest.
A fort could hunt 1000000 ghosts in a day, and as there were 2 forts, that ant they could hunt 2000000 ghosts in a day.
Since ghosts dropped an average of 3 Spirit Stones, 2000000 ghosts would give 6000000 Spirit Stones.
But since they only hunted every other day, that ant there was an average of 3000000 Spirit Stones daily.
He also used Faith Points to renew his accessories, so now he could gather more than 400000000 Skill Experience in a day, and he felt like he would reach Skill Level 8 of Generation within a month, which would help him greatly.
A Bird A summon had already left a [Nest], so Allen, Cecile, and Sophie could teleport there.
Even as they traveled Allen would continue endlessly leafing through the Grimoire to spend the 10000000 Spirit Stones he had as soon as possible.
"We're almost there, Allen."
"Just 5 minutes more."
"I'm not your mom."
Cecile and Allen would always joke around like that.
They had already entered the territory of the Mythical Bird Ra, and Allen decided it was best to take a break from raising his Skill Level while around Ra.
(It's pretty arid over here too. I guess it makes sense since the only living beings in the Paradise of Primordial Beasts are beastn.)
Allen had brought a considerable number of dragonkin to the Paradise of Primordial Beasts lately, but it still remained as a vast wilderness.
Then again, that was the divine realm, not a place for many to live. They did not lack water, but Allen missed the humid environnt of the Spirit Paradise.
Sophie had also prepared a vast lake back at the 2 forts and city with the treasury where many dragonkin would live, so that they would have enough water.
They were also bringing in the materials from the ghosts they hunted, which they could repurpose onto the farmlands.
Allen focused on the task at hand again.
They were in a place with many dried trees that had no leaves.
One of the trees was bigger than the rest, with an enormous nest on top. They could also see the tip of Ra's long tail hanging from the edge.
"I guess we should say hello first."
"Yes, and do it properly."
There were other enormous birds perched on the trees nearby, staring at Allen with glowing red eyes. It was hard to know if they were Sacred Birds or ghosts.
They did not know if those birds were friendly or not, but regardless of that they climbed on top of the Bird B summon and flew up until they were level with Ra's nest.
The tree was 300 ters tall, the nest 100 ters wide, and inside Ra was 30 ters long.
(An owl, huh. Like a wise bird of the forest. Those feathers are really pretty too. I guess appearances are important to gather faith too.)
Ra looked like an owl with rainbow colored feathers and a very long tail.
Up there Ra looked at them for a while, and when Sophie could not handle the silence anymore and was about to say sothing, Ra's beak finally moved.
'Lord Giran told about you. He said you'd be helping beco a Divine Bird? I've been waiting for you.'
"Yes, that's us. We were delayed by other matters so we couldn't co sooner, I'm sorry."
'That's alright. Just in case, I'm not fond of conflict.'
(Oh no, now I feel kinda rude.)
Allen frowned a little, as he had been expecting a fight to break out.
The Bird B summon landed on the edge of the nest, and everyone stepped down.
Ra did not seem really interested in them though, neither positively or negatively.
"I appreciate your kindness. But yes, we'd like to turn you into a Divine Bird for our friend Shea. Is there anything bothering you?"
Talking things out was the basis of getting ahead, so Allen asked questions.
'Sothing troubling … I wouldn't say there's anything like that.'
"Huh? Nothing? But you're also not turning into a Divine Bird yet?"
'There's an order to beco a God. I'm saving up Faith while I wait for the day it's my turn. The birdn also keep praying to to help with that.'
"Hmm, and so?"
'I'm waiting.'
(So what? After enough ti Ra will beco a Divine Bird? What's the problem then?)
"Hmm, I'm at a loss then. Why haven't you beco a Divine Bird yet then? How long have you been waiting?"
Allen looked confused, just like Cecile and Sophie.
'Hmm, it's been 1000 years I believe?'
"1000 years?!! Do you even know how long you have to wait to beco a God?"
Cecile shouts impulsively hearing that, as she thought it would only be 10 or 100 years.
'Of course I do. I'm waiting patiently until it's my turn, just like Lord Giran asked to. I left Raciel 1000 years ago and ca here to wait.'
"Hmhm, so we know nothing! Do you even want to beco a God?!!"
Allen was unnerved with how little information he had and raised his voice.
All he was able to learn was that there was an order to becoming Gods, and sohow it was still not Ra's turn.
"Maybe Lord rus would know sothing?"
Sophie suggested they consult with rus.
"Good idea, give a second."
(Were you listening?)
Allen spoke to rus in his mind.
'I'm listening and seeing, but I'm also busy with the Earth Labyrinth.'
(Anyway, I have to get Ra to beco a Divine Bird to complete Giran's quest. Do you know what I should do?)
Allen did not care and continued the conversation.
'...Hm.'
(Why are you acting like that again? Or are you keeping it secret because of that balance thing you ntioned before?)
'That's not my intention at all. You're already here in the divine realm, so you've had plenty of opportunities to affect the balance. And I've been disclosing a lot of information to you already.'
rus said that was not the case. Allen had already learned how Full Beast Mode was passed along after all, as well as how Luvanka was supposed to beco a Beast God.
(Then what is it? Is it normal to wait 1000 years? I don't want to wait that long.)
'Not all Gods ca from Demigods that ranked up to Gods. You've already defeated many Demigod Rank ghosts, haven't you?'
(Hm? Wait, so those ghosts were all the remains of Demigods that didn't beco Gods?)
'The remains… Well yes, but I'd prefer it if you could watch your words a bit more.'
rus had once explained that ghosts were souls that stepped out of the spiral of life.
Usually that happened with souls that had lingering attachnts to the world of the living, or were too powerful to be contained. Allen had hunted many Demigod Rank ghosts too.
(I see, so that's why there's no God Rank ghosts, but there are Demigod Rank ghosts.)
'There you have it. I really don't think Lord Giran ant for you to handle this, Allen.'
In the Paradise of Primordial Beasts, those with power would be recognized by the Gods and turned into Sacred Beasts, who then beca Mythical Beasts, and then Gods.
There were so many Demigod Rank ghosts because many would fail to beco Gods.
And God Rank ghosts were so rare because the Gods were satisfied with the lives they had, or they were still alive, as Gods had a much longer lifespan than Demigods.
(Hm? What does this an?)
'There's others who waited for 1000 years and never beca Gods.'
(So basically they're overfilled with Gods, and have to wait for a spot to open up.)
It was like a worker who could not get promoted as the company was overstaffed.
But sitting in a nest for 1000 waiting without doing nothing felt maddening.
'That's it. Also, I have to be careful with my words, but as you've noticed already, the Beast God Giran isn't really too cooperative with Lord Ela.'
(And since Ra is with Garm who Ela doesn't like, he isn't picking Ra to beco a God.)
'I thought I ntioned to be careful with how you talk about that.'
(Anyway, so you also don't know a specific reason why Ra won't beco a God, huh.)
'That's what I said, yes.'
(Maybe I can try asking through Lupto to turn Ra a God then?)
'You an ask Lord Ela through her? That'd be difficult. I had to talk to Demigods in the past, but I never tried to seek an audience with soone above my rank like that.'
rus had served Ela as First Angel for more than 100000 years, so he knew what being in that position was like. Not even Lupto would be of much help, and that went to show just how difficult it was for a Demigod to beco a God.
"You've been talking for a while. Did you learn anything?"
Cecile looked at Allen, who was silent so far.
"rus doesn't know how either. Though it sounds like it'll be pretty hard."
"What do you an? If we don't know how then it's not just hard, it's impossible."
"I guess that's true. Anyway…"
Allen decided to process all the information he had gathered.
(Rosen was the first one I saw turn into a God. What was different about him from Ra?)
Cecile and Sophie peeked into the Grimoire as Allen tried to organize what he knew.
[Possible reasons why Ra still didn't beco a Divine Bird]
(1) - There's an order to beco Gods
(2) - A lack of Faith
(3) - Soone else is occupying the spot of Divine Bird
(4) - Ela hates the Beast God
"Considering the wait of 1000, maybe we just need to wait a little more, if it's (1)."
"Yes, Sophie. Maybe it could even happen next year. But I don't think Giran would've given us this quest if that was the case."
"What should we do if it's (4) though?"
"Maybe Lord Ela doesn't want a Divine Bird to appear, so it'll be an impossible quest."
"Sohow I'm starting to think this really will be impossible."
There was no clear answer and it was an issue too big for humans to solve.
Allen nodded, hearing Cecile and Sophie's opinions, agreeing with them. Then he looked forward again.
"That sounds like a difficult situation, Mythical Bird Ra."
'It seems that way. I'll just keep waiting.'
Ra did not seem bothered at all, knowing there was nothing else to do but wait.
"Just in case, can I assu that you want to beco a Divine Bird? As I'll have to start taking so action to complete our quest."
'Taking action… Sohow that sounds scary. I don't desire to beco a God so much as to cause conflict.'
Ra shook a little hearing Allen's words.
"Oh don't get wrong, I'm not trying to start any conflicts. I just want to know how you feel, and if you really want to beco a God."
'...I'm just answering Lord Garm's call. I want to beco a God to help Lord Garm, as I'm sure he'll use my power to help the birdn.'
"I see. Then I, Allen, promise I'll do everything possible for you to beco a God."
Hearing Ra's response, Allen reaffird his decision to complete that quest.
"Why are you making a promise like that? It's not like we can go talk with the God of Creation Ela."
"I guess that's true. Let's try going to Raciel for now."
"That's the Mythical Bird Ra's hotown, right? That's a good idea, maybe we can learn sothing by seeing how the birdn are doing."
"Right. I really want so more hints though."
Allen quickly ca up with the next place to go to.
