Kurena had been trying to raise her Skill Levels before the fight. Her equipnt halved her cooldowns, and increased her mana by a lot. [True Dragon Claw] had also reached Level 2.

Thanks to that, her stats were nearing 30000.

Haku's [Dragon Scale] and [Dragon Claw] abilities were also a priority.

Those raised his stats far beyond Normal Mode's, and even though he was B Rank his strength was comparable to S Rank.

They were hunting Iron Golems, so they could do that with little help if summons were present.

Allen's Army could use as many weapons as possible, and the excess hihiirokane ones were given to the Hero's Army. Their size sotis needed to be adjusted, but they could ask various blacksmiths, including those in the S Rank Dungeon's city, to modify them.

They were also starting to find anklets. They were similar to those worn by Basque.

The Devil's Bow was given to Formar. It did not need arrows, but shooting it cost 1000 Mana.

Skills increased that even more, but that allowed him to damage the golems a lot more.

Her weapon could also be enhanced with Dragon Eye Stones, but Habarak could not do that at the sa ti.

Replying to gadeth, Kurena and Haku headed to the gate.

"What do you think Allen? Do you think she can win?"

"It shouldn't take long if gadeth is telling the truth."

Allen's reply was instant. Kurena could even be overleveled for the fight.

A dragon waited on the other side of the gate.

'Oh, I thought you were too scared to enter, but you look rather courageous. I'm the Gatekeeper of this level, the Ancient Dragon Roadrk.'

A 100 ter long dragon stood up. Ancient Dragons were legendary S Rank creatures.

"I'm the Dragoon Knight Kurena!"

"I'm Haku!!"

Kurena and Haku had agreed they would introduce themselves this ti.

Roadrk swung his terrifying claws at Kurena.

Kurena retaliated with her [True Killing Slash] Skill, which had beco her most used one.

'Huh?! How about this then!'

Kurena's swing sliced off two of Roadrk's fingers.

Realizing he could not win through direct attacks, Roadrk spread his wings and flew high up before unleashing a bright breath attack on Kurena.

"Haku, let's go!"

'Yes, get on!!'

Kurena split Roadrk's breath apart to protect Haku as they flew up for ten minutes.

After that Haku used [Light Breath] to take over the defending role, letting Kurena attack.

"Limit Break!!"

That Skill increased Kurena's stats by 12000.

'Grawrrrrrrr!!'

Haku roared while Kurena swung her sword down.

"Supre Sword!!"

'Ghagh?!'

Kurena easily cut through Roadrk's thick scales, splitting his body in two.

The barrier stopping the others from crossing the gate vanished.

The group rushed in to congratulate Kurena and Haku, they had fought in perfect sync.

'This is the first ti I've seen such a powerful Dragoon Knight.'

Haku was happy to see Kurena be praised. gadeth ntioned that usually the dragon was the strongest one and the Rider the weaker partner.

(I guess Haku's 20000 stats would usually be the highest of the two.)

There were very few Riders in Extra Mode, and Allen had gathered equipnt from the S Rank Dungeon and Prostia before entering the Gate of Fang. That had made Kurena far stronger.

'It'll take so ti for him to recover, so let's do the Talent Change first. Woohoo.'

They had won, so Kurena and Haku would undergo a Talent Change.

A glowing magic ring surrounded them, and Allen checked his Grimoire.

Kurena had beco a Level 1 Dragoon General, and Haku a Level 1 infantile Ancient Dragon.

They continued getting stronger.

'Hrnghh… I lost.'

Roadrk stood up after his wounds healed. He brought a dragon's fang and held it out for Kurena.

"We did it!!"

'Now you only have the Gate of Scale left. Good luck.'

"Thank you very much. Alright everyone, let's go clear the next gate!"

Allen decided they would head to the next gate like it was the most normal thing in the world.

"I knew this would happen."

Cecile had already anticipated that would happen, considering how short the fight was.

Allen's group had cleared the Gate of Fang, and now they only had one Gate of Trial left to conquer.
