"Okay..." Caspian trailed off, before he realized what his king said; his head snapped back to his king at once.

"Wait, what!"

"Don’t make repeat myself, Caspian. Have the date shifted to tomorrow and notify the elders."

"Your Majesty, I do hope you’re not planning to inform them about you finding your mate?" Caspian asked his king, but when he saw the serious look on his face, He knew he did not need further confirmation.

"Your Majesty, I suggest you hold the news until you have a discussion with the high priest, Celeste, before announcing it. You know the lengths these people could go, they might try to harm your mate." Caspian comnted, worriedly.

"Enough! That’s enough, I am more than capable to protect my mate." Eiravyn muttered but his gaze was still on the files on his table.

Hearing the dangerous edge in his voice, Caspian imdiately kept his mouth shut not daring to upset his king further.

"And tomorrow evening there will be a banquet for everyone to celebrate the arrival of my future queen. But this ti the commoners must be in attendance. I need you to plan for it." Eiravyn ordered.

Caspian rubbed his forehead forcefully while looking at the stubborn king in front of him.

He knew that Eiravyn was more than capable of protecting his mate, but will he be there always to keep her safe? What if he was not around and Serena was all by himself?

As much as Eiravyn was very powerful and the elders fear him, they could go above and beyond when their wishes were not ant. They might turn to Serena when they discover that she was his weakness- that is why he preferred him to discuss this with their high priest.

Caspian decided to take the only route he knew might work this ti.

"I do hope you haven’t forgotten about the second prophecy, Eiravyn? He said this as a friend and not as his right-hand man.

When he said these words, Eiravyn suddenly turned still, his hands, which were currently flipping through a file paused for a short while, before he resud what he was doing, not comnting on Caspian words.

Caspian sighed before he continued to inform him of another event that needed his presence, he knew Eiravyn was reasonable enough to do the right thing, and not endanger his mate; and, since he was still set on going on with his plans there was nothing he could do or say that would stop him.

"I have sort out so files I thought are important for formalities. The alpha of the werewolf pack had sent their invitation for his birthday party. The invitation card is placed on your right side." Caspian continued with his information.

"When is the date for this birthday party?" Eiravyn asked, without removing his eyes from the docunts.

"It’s dated to take place two weeks from now."

Alpha Drayce is one of Eiravyn childhood friend and closest confidants as they were in the sa age group, he was also friends with Caspian as they all grew up together and when they had occasion in the past when his parents were still around, the boys would normally gang up together playing pranks and gas with the other grown-ups. They were known as the ’Notorious Three’ . Well, all this was before the sudden disappearance of his parents. Eiravyn thought as he reminisced about the past before he was forced to beco a grown up. He shook his head, before he turned to address Caspian,

"Place it at the top of my to-do list." With that Eiravyn stood up to leave his study.

"Your Majesty, there’s so much to do, where are you going?" Caspian called out to him. When he saw him about to leave,...

"Do not tell that you are not compensated enough in exchange for your work to give the bare minimum." Eiravyn comnted, before he said plainly,

"You are to do the rest, and that’s your king’s command." Eiravyn said dryly.

Caspian let out a frustrated groan, his eyes showing how irritated he was,

"Your Majesty, I have checked the work, they all need your signature, there’s hardly anything for to do here. You can’t just pass your work to ! These are all issues that, once you resolve and approve would make our Great Kingdom prosper even more."

"Oh, do not whine and do your work. You’re also a subject, if you also put more work it can aid in the prosperity of the kingdom." Eiravyn comnted as he move to take his leave.

"Eiravyn, you can’t to do this to . I barely rested since I got here, at least let take a little rest." Caspian shouted after him, but Eiravyn did not turn to respond to him and instead he strolled out of the study, leaving the rest of the work to Caspian. He went outside to check on his mate.
