"I was in need of a good ride, how have you been?"
"We saw each other just yesterday Kathy, don’t act like it has been ages."
Kathy rolled her eyes as they both headed upstairs to Serena’s room, Kathy stopped to greet Serena’s grandparents before they went to her room.
When they were seated in a chair in Serena’s room, "Kathy I saw him again yesterday."
Kathy raised a brow "Saw who?"
"You know who, the man i told you about the other day, the man at the bar." Serena reminded her as she recounted everything that happened yesterday to Kathy, how he had rudely rejected her over again, how she had been frustrated and how another strange man had given her the man contact and an invitation card for an Art event, she told her everything not leaving out a single detail.
"So, tell Kathy, should I contact him or what?"
"Hell no! Renie you have acted desperate enough, you are not contacting him but you would be going for the event."
"Calm down now, you know I don’t have appropriate dress for an event, let alone to impress the cold hearted man, I think I should just contact him."
"And tell him what exactly? Kathy queried her "Renie, what do you think of ? You have the most sort after influential fashion designer as a friend, yet you worry for such a thing."
Serena had long forgotten that Kathy was actually amongst the top 5 youngest and richest fashion designer in the country.
"Let see the invite."
Serena brought it out and showed it to her, "Ah, Holden Wickham’s exhibition, this is just perfect."
"Why is that?"
"My dad is also invited to this exhibition, I will try my best to convince my dad to let attend in his stead, so I can be your escort, not to frighten you but according to my dad. Holden Wickham is a well known figure and is a reputable man soone nobody dares ss with, which is to say for that man to know him and get this invite he is not an ordinary man."
"I know Kathy, but I have never been to a place like that and I don’t know if I would be okay there."
"Do you want him or not? And beside you have there with you, there is nothing to be afraid of." Kathy quickly assured her.
"Do they have a dress code."
"Yes they do, it blue." Serena confird.
"Oh my, that is just perfect Renie, I’ll have Ethan co take your asurents tomorrow, so we can get started."
"Renie, we are going to make him beg for your attention that’s for sure."
Serena could only sigh as Kathy began to call her workers and personal assistant to prepare and plan everything for their dress to the Art exhibition, Kathy seems to be more excited to dress Serena than to attend the event.
She had been trying to convince Serena to be her model for her brand but Serena had always shown disinterest as she was hell-bent on dressing unappealing.
So, this was like a once in a life ti kind of opportunity for Kathy she thought and she was not ready to waste it.
"Renie, I have to be on my way now as I have things to do and dress to make... hehehe" Kathy winked at her.
Judging from Kathy’s overreaction Serena was beginning to wonder if she had made the right decision, as she knows for a fact that she was in for a long ride with her this coming week.
But she did not think too much about it as she had a lot to do at work tomorrow and needed to start sorting everything out.
"Good bye Kathy and please do take it easy."
Serena escorted Kathy out of the house as she went back to her room, she slumped on her bed as she began to think of a way to settle things with her boss tomorrow Monday at work.
Serena works at a food company, the food company was a widespread company with so many branches all over the world, they also had so many departnts and departnts heads, she was in fact the team leader for departnts 2 as their job was to create and co up with food ideas and various ways to pack and markets the food. Serena was the third head of her departnt and has to pass on two more heads before she can finally get any of her projects approved, and that was where the problem started.
